Attending a three day convention at the Hydro. Was the closest hotel, within range of the radio link. Our room had a double and unexpected single also was spacious with its own desk space between bedroom and ensuite bathroom. We were not far from lift and food was ok. (We preferred to go the rotunda across the carpark. ) It was a better experience than the reviews i had read. The bonus , it was the cheapest price of the three hotels in the area.

The hotel is what you would expect for a campanile hotel. However, what let the hotel down was its organisation and some of the 'surly' attitudes of some staff. I think this was probably more noticeable because we were there for a week and would be less noticeable if you were staying for one or two nights. When I arrived the welcome was poor. Whilst the hotel were aware of my catering needs in advance it took about 3 days to get organised and even then, jacket potato fell high on the list. ... Read more

First impressions of this hotel is good. It is in such a good location close to the Hydro and easy to get into the centre. On arrival the staff were very friendly, the room was basic but clean all thats needed for a one night stay. We ate a light lunch there, which was fine and then took the train into the centre. Walking back along the river was pleasant with the glorious weather helping. We were at the Hydro in the evening, which looks spectaculor at night time and how its such a nice change n... Read more

2nd room we were given was good, the first one we got had one wet bed due to water on the carpet seeping up the bed sheets that were on the floor. Luckily there was one spare room. We had booked via laterooms 48hrs before our arrival. The hotel had not processed our booking at the time of our arrival. Apart from this it is a centrally located hotel and more importantly it is dog friendly. Possibly one of the cheapest hotels in the area. I would grudge paying the full price fee for the room. Lov... Very good budget place to stay if you need to be in the area of the SECC. The rooms are basic but clean. The beds are hard but I noticed that alot of the beds during our stay in Ireland and Scotland were hard. We had the optional breakfast and it was pretty good, it was buffett style. The staff was very nice and helpful.

If you are looking for a good value hotel close to the Hydro, SECC, Armadillo with free car parking then look no further. Just returned from a 2 night stay here and had no complaints at all. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV, shower, tea/coffee making facilities and good level of storage. Staff were helpful. Alternatives are Premier Inn south of the river and the Village which we also stayed in a couple of months ago which is very good too. More upmarket options include Crowne Plaza and Hilto... This chain of hotels offers basic accommodation, however, when there are shows and exhibitions on nearby SSEC or Hydro, the cost can triple. I paid over £120 for one nights bed and breakfast. I chose the location as I was attending a nearby exhibition. The location is perfect for that and there is plenty of parking. The rooms are very basic. For example, one pillow per and soup dispensers in the basic bathroom. There are tea and coffee making facilities but they too are very basic. The breakfas... Read more

Great hotel for SECC and HYDRO. Stayed a couple of nights in May. Staff could not have been more helpful even to the extent of allowing me to leave the premises via the Fire Exit in order to make a concert on time - Restaurant very good and breakfast excellent

Stayed for its proximity to the SECC and it was inexpensive. We realised it wouldn't be 5 star, it was clean and comfortable but basic-what we paid for so can't expect much more. The food wasn't great. Not overly hungry we ordered a snack but the nachos were burnt, fish sandwich had one small greasy piece of fish on 2 dry pieces of bread, nowhere near filling it. Worst of all was the fact that the public bar adjoins the restaurant. The bar was busy with men attending an event at the Hydro. Our... Read more

Honestly, the only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the Scottish Exhibition Centre. The rooms are clean but there are several problems; 1) even with the windows fully closed the noise from the road will keep you awake at night (unless you are drunk), 2) there is only one spare socket in the double room (of course you could unplug the TV or kettle and that would give you three in all), 3) you have to pay for the internet, it is limited to one device and it is expensive (£8.95 via ... This was our second stay at this hotel to attend a concert at the Hydro...it is the closest hotel, about a 3 min walk and we couldn't fault it. We had an issue at check in which Derek handled in a professional and helpful manner...I can't thank him enough! All the staff we met were fantastic, especially the man and woman at breakfast on the 15th Jun. Great value tasty breakfast, cheap at the price. We will be back!

The convenience of this inexpensive hotel right next to SECC makes it a must when attending shows. The friendly and helpful staff are a delight and the rooms are clean and well appointed for the price range. Breakfast is adequate although evening meals are ordinary but plenty places to eat nearby.

Due to flight delays, I needed to stay overnight in Glasgow before heading to Fort William next morning. Got a good deal on Booking.com for a double room at £69. The room was advertised at £200 per night but certainly no one would pay that kind of a price for the budget room. Hotel is nice - better than a travelodge. It is functional. It is located near the SECC and BBC Scotland. It Worked well for a 6 hours stay. Left early morning without trying the breakfast. Night porter was very courteous... Read more

I booked this hotel to be close to the Science Centre as I was taking a trip on the Waverley paddle steamer. It was only when I got there that I realised that I could see the Hydro and conference centre directly across the road from the breakfast room. However, if you were wishing to partake of all your activities in the city centre I would say that this hotel is not for you. The hotel was fairly basic but very comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and the upgraded brea... Read more

Recently did a two night stay booked through Booking.com. We were very late checking in the guy on reception was very helpful. We discovered that WiFi was £3 per day!!! The room and en-suite was clean. Nice size TV but we did find it a problem that there was a shortage of electrical sockets (3) none near the bed and one not working. Breakfast was £8.25 ea. A good selection for the continental side but the Full English was average.

Not my usual brand of hotel but was the only available hotel with a room! Check in was efficient and friendly and there was even a welcome smile from the receptionist. The room was extremely basic, Ultra thin walls so you could here all your neighbours above and to the side including when they went to the toilet I the middle of the night!!!! The bed was clean and not that comfortable, the hot water seemed to take forever in the shower and I'd almost given up waiting when it came through..... ... Read more

This hotel was booked for a business trip for 4 days. We were on a tight schedule and arrived to check in only to be told we weren't even booked to stay and blamed booking.com for the trouble, FYI I have never had any problems in booking with booking.com and the whole thing sounded a bit fishy. Anyways, they could only book us for 2 days and then we would have to go elsewhere. The room was okay and was clean. There was enough on offer for breakfast too. Only other thing I would say is that they ... Read more

Stayed here for a night while seeing a show in the Clyde Auditorium. The hotel is less than a five minute walk to it and even less to the better known SSE Hydro. Not much traffic despite a concert finishing in the Hydro late that night. Breakfast was good and this is an ideal hotel if going to a concert here.

Stayed here In July 2016 for going to Beyonce at hamden. We arrivied and got checked in quickly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We didn't hear any noise from neighbours and only heard the housekeepers in the morning. Our taxi didnt arrive and the duty manager was very helpful along with the receptionists. You get what you pay for, clean and comfortable room!

Overall good, room and facilities good, freeview tv better than most and free parking. Only minor issue was the lifts: as had a push chair and one lift (of the 2) which was not clearly labelled left you with a short flight of stairs to go down.

First of all Internet is only free of you book over their homepage and 10£ for 5 days is ok but the quality you get for your money is just the worst. It breaks down every now and then and it's very slow. Even worse is just the breakfast. It's overpriced for that quality and it's just cornflakes and butter there wasn't anything more. And if you asked for more, they're sorry there isn't anything else. That's ridiculous. Near the hotel is a small dinner the 'create' I recomend that. But free par... Read more

Room had everything I needed, and location good, especially if you are going to SECC. I had a lovely walk along the river into the centre and got the train back later. A few steps up to my room, and on a noisy road

£200 for one nights stay. Booked room with double and single bed. Single bed = sofa bed and two of us could not move round room at the same time. Dinner and Breakfast were not included in price and promised free Wif lasted 20 minutes then had to be paid for. Bar was very small which was not comfortable on a weekend when a major exhibition was occurring at the SECC. Menu for dinner was Theatre Menu which was not adequate as a main meal.
