If just a room your looking for sleeping at night then it's ok. But Reception were so unhelpful when asked about local transport into Metro Centre and to City Centre, we were basically told they didn't know as they drove! Shocking Customer Service. Most places should have local travel info at reception or know someone that could help. Luckily we found local folk at a bus stop and then found a taxi driver that was amazing and so friendly. Rooms were clean enough but only had a few sockets ... Read more

I cannot understand people and what they write in their reviews of this hotel. In the past 18 months I have booked this hotel over 15 times with no fault to find. I have had different drivers staying all on separate occasions with no problem. The rooms are fine. In relation to knd who says the doors don't lock yes they you need to read how to lock the door which is on the information sheet provided or ask a member of staff which by the way there us always at least one member of staff around... A colleague booked this place had I had known I would of changed this hotel. I can only stress that it is absolutely filthy, everything is broken and nothing seems to of been replace since 1987! No light in the bathroom, 5 lights in the room only 2 worked. Broken furniture, dirty bed. Breakfast time I was left waiting for 30 mins before someone came to me despite asking to be served. They bought me tea, one cup!!! No refill or pot, also it came as a cup of hot water with a bag on the side 😕. ... Read more

Don't go - very poor quality - tv didn't work - bar cold and shabby - rooms dated and in need of refurbishment - carpet stained - if I'd read other reviews I would never have visited - until they have a major upgrade then best to avoid - only plus point is it's close to the A1

Our room was absolutely boiling and had no way of turning off the heating. Dirty curtains and bedding. This place needs a makeover. Best bit about the room was the mirror that made me look thinner!Tea cups were filthy. The shower head kept falling out of the holder. Pretty dismal. Thank goodness we weren't in the room much. Went for food in the bar area and no staff to be seen, once they appeared the food took ages to arrive and was cold. Some guests on the same floor were smoking weed,disgusting... Read more
