Another great stay at Jury's Inn, Gateshead Quays. A lovely customer experience, very friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. The hotel was busy due to the Rugby League Magic Weekend and we were treated like we were the only guests in the hotel. Good quality of accommodation, very clean. Brilliant location only a few minutes walk into Newcastle town centre. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and we will definitely be back!!!

The hotel was average, bar area and general location nice and clean. Rooms clean and comfy. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the car parking or lack of it. More car parking options or deals with near by car parks would be good.

Stayed here with a coach load. Staff are great, very clean, good location and large choice of breakfast BUT evening meals well lets just say tasteless boil in the bag comes to mind, everything is bland, soggy and weird combinations, carbs galore. Thank goodness for the puddings, still a good way to lose weight lol

Me & my friends visited for a girls weekend away, the location was perfect! Taxis to & from the bars & nights clubs & train station cost around only £6 a journey(no matter what time of day). The staff at this hotel where more than helpful on our frequent trips to reception for extra tea bags, pillows, calling taxis ect. The room was clean & very comfortable. This hotel is in a great location with easy access to Newcastle. Our room was spacious and clean. Only complaint was the air conditioning in our room didn't work when we arrived so we told the front desk who said maintenance would look at it on Monday as they don't work weekends. We reminded the front desk on our way out on the Monday and they said maintenance would look at it. We opened the windows but they don't open very far so the room was quite warm. So my car park bill was £21 when I left. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the on site parking . Not impressed that the only option to full car park was a restricted area that would require moving my car before 8am. Poor signage to say car park was full so you end up driving into car park and then having to do a right 3 point turn to get back out.

Stayed there for two weeks. The room size was adequate, the cleanliness ok. But it was really noisy because of two reasons: The proximity to the elevator, and the fact that there was an additional, ordinary and simple door to the neighbours room. The rooms of my colleagues there had other issues, they even had to change. This was a great modern hotel. The rooms were big and comfortable and the location was a short walk from the millennium bridge and the downtown. The view from the 4th floor was great. We arrived late and the service was excellent and helpful. The 10 pound breakfast in the morning was very good and service was excellent. Most important however was that the price for the room was great.

My husband and I have stayed in this hotel many times and have always been completely satisfied. I have never been disappointed with any aspect of any of our stays. It is always our first point of call when we visit this area. We love the rooms overlooking the river and the bridges. Hope to return again soon.

Spent two days with my wife and my eldest son his wife and two young grandsons. Had asked for a cot in room for his youngest son of 4months but mattress was thin very hard and totally unsuitable meaning my grandson had to sleep in his buggy overnight. Breakfast was ok but no spoons or knives when we went to eat plus people queuing for certain food items to be replenished. We have stayed here before and other Jury's inns but now think that Premier inns are just as good value as this hotel now see... Read more

For a budget hotel, this really was good value - large, comfortable bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and an excellent shower. We paid the extra £10 for a river view, and it was definitely worth it, particularly at night when the Tyne bridges are lit up. Good location, right next door to the Baltic and the Millenium Bridge.

Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean. My only complaint and it is a very minor one, is that they don't supply face flannels. I would definitely stay there again, if I was travelling to Newcastle/Gateshead.

Loved it here...we had a Quayside view and it was stunning. Great location, easy to access restaurants and bars. Would love to return! Brilliant if you want to take a short stroll to The Baltic too. Beautiful view at night when everything is lit up over the river.

We had our wedding reception at this hotel Saturday August 6th, and the day couldn't have gone or been any better. Not only was the hotel superb to use for a function, but the overnight stay was fantastic also. The rooms are pleasant and clean, the views of the Tyne stunning, and the breakfast the next morning has a lot to offer and is delicious. All our guests who stayed commented numerous times after the wedding how much they enjoyed our function there, and more importantly their stay that nig... Read more

This is our third visit here. We always stay here when visiting Gateshead and Newcastle its got a great location on the quayside the prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and the beds are comfy. Despite it being busy at weekends with stag do's they have security checking guests coming in late evening and do a good job keeping it quiet - we have never been disturbed. The staff helped us store our cycles - the hotel is on cycle route 72 - and the beer prices are reasonable. Parking is a... Read more

We booked 2 rooms for a Sunday night, total around £140, so not particularly cheap. We arrived a bit early and asked if the rooms were ready. One was, and the receptionist said the other was empty and would be ready in 20 minutes. All of us went to the one room and the receptionist said she'd ring us when the other room was done. An hour later we went back to reception, and the receptionist said the housekeeping staff had gone on their break now. I pointed out that it was now after 2pm, to whic... Read more

The hotel was fine, clean, tidy, helpful staff and reasonable value for money although we didn't have breakfast there, preferred to walk 10 minutes across into Newcastle and get breakfast there at a good price cheaper. Beware the car park though. Large Hotel but has only about 40 car park spaces at best, charging £6.50 per night. If the car park was full we were advised to park on the road but would have to move it before 8am or risk a parking ticket. Right next to the hotel is a car park run b... Read more

ideally placed for both the Sage and Newcastle city centre. This is a modern clean hotel. Limited parking is one first come first served and has to be paid for (£6.50) Breakfast was very good. Only down side was that other rooms on the 4th floor were being repainted so there was a strong smell of paint through out

Some great things about the hotel - fantastic location, great riverside bar, good price and nice rooms. Conversley, it has a small car park and breakfast was manic...no cutlery, no tables, dirty tables, food areas messy and fire alarm went off and nearly had heart attack. no major complaints.

The Jury's Inn chain is intended to be cheap and modest in appearance. However, I found that for a reasonable price there was: very good service, a well decorated hotel and comfortable rooms with a generous amount of space in each. The breakfast was good but not of a gourmet standard, which was enough for a business trip. Plus it is well situated, beside the river Tyne which flows through Newcastle within twenty minutes walk of the centre of Newcastle. There is also a contemporary art gallery wi... Read more

Stayed here the weekend of the Great North Run so it was going to be busy. No-one on reception as I arrived but welcomed none the less. Easy check in and lifts by reception. Had asked for a quiet room and I was at the start of the corridor so did hear groups of noisy people walking by. Only needed a single yet was given a larger room, so great wide bed for me. No view, but I knew that in advance. TV and kettle etc worked and all lights functioning. Hairdryer lead a wee bit short. Wall moun... Read more

We visited Newcastle for the weekend of the Great North Run. A superb hotel and well geared up for runners, offering pasta dinners the night before and helpful little booklets in the room. Good location with various Metro stations nearby for travel on the day. Located on the river with restaurants nearby and we also tried out the hotel restaurant and had a lovely 3 course set menu which was very reasonable. Room was very comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel whilst on a coach holiday with Just Go Holidays from 12th to 16th September 2016. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable. Everything worked and the air conditioning was particularly effective. The meals were fine, better than we expected bearing in mind the budget price of our holiday. Best bit was breakfast. One and only criticism was the slow service at the bar which was caused by the bartender having to keep running off to the kitchen to help serve meals. Apart fr... Read more

Luckily we only had a one night stay, as this hotel is only suitable for such stays. As with other Jurys Inn Hotels, the rooms contain no fridge and no ice, this one also had no facial tissues, on the plus side the location is close to the bridge to Newcastle and a short walk to such.

It was great to have a pleasant walk after dinner after a busy day and not having to go too far for beautiful views and local bars. Meals were not huge but suited me fine. Dining room overlooked the Tyne which was an added bonus. We were on a coach tour with Just Go and were lucky to stay at this Hotel. Jurys Inn ticked all the boxes for our requirements, adjacent to The Sage Centre and Quayside. Exceptionally clean rooms and efficient service by all the staff. The breakfast has to be timed so as not to encounter a coach party that travelled and ate en mass, their ability to sit at inappropriate sized tables was priceless. The consequence was that tables were all occupied quickly, however the bar was an excellent overflow area.

Ten minute wait to check in. Twenty minute wait to get served in the bar. Faulty lock on bedroom door. Lack of security - anyone could walk in off the street and go to the bedroom floors. Lift not working. Extra charge to get out of the guest car park. Inadequate number of staff, and those that there were displayed a lack of local knowledge when asked for information. My stay was more DIY than hospitality. It seemed that Head Office had come up with a system that is more important than... Read more
