We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was excellent with breakfast offering a very widechoice to suit every taste. The staff were very helpful and friendly even at the booking stage.

My heart sank as we pulled into the entrance, £160 a night for THIS was my first thought. It just looks really run down from the outside, and to be brutally honest it's not any better on the inside either. It's a relic from the 1970's that looks like it was designed and decorated by your grandparents. The Wi-Fi doesn't work, the phone in the room doesn't work so you can't call down to reception to complain that there's no Wi-Fi. Everything is just a bit tired and tatty, however this being sai... Stayed here on a Friday night with my brother as we were walking up Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis in the morning. The hotel isn't much to look at, definitely in need of a bit of love. I understand that renovations are apparently underway, though. Check-in was swift and conducted by a welcoming young lady. I found the staff throughout our stay very friendly. The bar was reasonably priced, and reasonably comfortable, although I'd perhaps suggest dropping the lighting a bit as it had the air of an ... Read more

We were put in an older building that looked like a dorm building for students. I was a little apprehensive at first. I didn't feel real safe. No air conditioning but it was okay since we opened the window. Comfortable bed and the room seemed very clean. Breakfast was very good and was included in with the price of the room.

Stayed as part of a charity group doing the three peaks challenge. Staff are really friendly and always happy to help -especially when our timings change. Rooms are clean & tidy with basic facilities. Really enjoyed a quick dip in the jacuzzi.

This hotel was amazing. We stayed in a superior room £260 for two nights. The room was lovely and the bathroom looked as if it had just been done up. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was great absolutely everything you could ever want from cereals juice fruit and plenty of choice of cooked items. Buffet style so help yourself to as much as you want. We chose to eat in the hotel in the evening as well and again the food was excellent. Would definitely return.

The hotel was old and so were all of the people staying there. Rooms had no wi-fi and barely any water in the showers. The four-poster bed was very nice and comfortable but took up a large portion of the room. Breakfast was rather bland and very crowded.

Friendly staff when we arrived, our room was in the far wing which is not far, but too far from the bar :) Room were comfortable and includes the essentials, has that "old world charm" feel which you love or hate... even if you love you will probably hate the blue carpet but again very comfortable. After a night there were a few small things, one being the toilet seat was very loose but the second was the walls are very thin as there was someone snoring like a freight train in the room next do... My family of 6 stayed here while enjoying our 'Learn to Ski' experience. The food was really good, breakfast buffet kept us going most of the day and the evening meal options gave all our fussy eaters something to enjoy. The staff are very welcoming and we really enjoyed our time together as a family, round the dinner table laughing about the day's pratfalls and knowing that all was well with out accommodation. The kids had a super time in the swimming pool and I really enjoyed the sauna and ... Read more

This is the second time we have stayed her , last July and recently. The room we had this time was so small and shabby peeling paint and mouldy windows. The hotel was not cheap £120 a night so we expected at least a clean room.We paid extra to eat at the hotel and it was hocking , we paid for three course but left after two having eaten very little . The starter was so small that the prawn cocktail would not have filled a sandwich and the lamb was all slimy fat so it was left the others meals w... Read more

The wall outside need to be rebuilt. It's look like it will fall.... The common room Inside (cafe, lounge, bar) was luxurious. But the room is very ordinary. Need to be clean a little bit. Small room, tiny bathroom. We need to go outside to go at the Inside pool who are very big and welcome. Breakfast buffet was very good. Wi fi accessible only in the common space, not in the room...

The hotel is in need of a makeover. However, our 4 day stay was very pleasant and nearby Fort William is a beautiful town with the start of the Jackobite Express steam train which goes to Mallaig as an added attraction. Our hotel room was small, if not tiny. Scottish breakfast a feast to set one up for the day and the pool was very pleasant early morning. The internet was only available in public spaces costing a fiver if you wanted access in the room.

Stayed here for night before start of our 3 peak challenge. Firstly positives! Staff were fab, friendly on reception, waiters/waitresses lovely under busy circumstances. And breakfast staff saved bacon and sausage baps for us on return from Ben Nevis! Very accommodating! Our rooms were adequate for an overnight stay BUT wouldn't like to stay more in rooms we had. Do need some tlc, lick of paint and bathroom a little shabby but workable. We were in annexe. Beds comfy, nice hot shower and tea coff... Read more

I had previously read reports about this hotel but was rather disappointed to find that the 'renovations' previously mentioned and had not reached the part of the hotel where our rooms were situated. Subsequently we didn't sleep well. The children enjoyed the Pool. Although the staff were pleasant, breakfast was not a happy experience for any of us. However I hope the hotel is able to implement its future plans soon so that customes can really enjoy its unique position in Fort Willia... Read more

I can't believe I parted with £83 to stay in what I can only describe as a halfway house. As you can see from two photos one of my light fittings is hanging out of the ceiling I'm sure there is a health and safety issue there and the mould is growing around my bath I'm sure they could also be a health and safety issue there if I had time I would show you photos of the corridors doors et cetera the place is in a state of disrepair. I think the term is mutton dressed as lamb. A realistic price wo... Read more

Spent two nights at the Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club, Positives first, staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, Evening meals were really good, going for quality and sufficiency rather than volume and poor quality. The room was clean, small, tea / coffee supplied. some nice touches were the free coffee / Tea at the leisure centre, which by the way was clean, maintained and a decent size. On the not so positive side was some of the décor could do with freshening up, corridors looked a b... Read more

It was about an hour and a half from Neist Point on the Isle of Skye to the hotel. The hotel was older, but it was one of the more spacious rooms we had stayed in. Unfortunately, we did not have a good night's sleep. There was a squeaky hallway door outside our door, and we could hear a lot of hallway noise. At the restaurant downstairs, we had a simple but tasty dinner of ravioli with a side of vegetables. In the morning, breakfast was simple but fine - it's always nice when a hot meal is in... A friend and I stayed here for 1 night before attempting the 3 peaks 24 hr challenge. It was clean and tidy, showers had good strength and breakfast was quite good. Only things I can mark it down was it was quite warm and that made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep even with the window open. And the music in the dinning hall was rather dull and monotonous. Small things but otherwise a very good stay.

Hotel was OK, rooms clean enough and comfortable. We booked 2 rooms for bed and breakfast and in the morning when we asked to sit at a table next to the others in our party the assistant took exception to the fact that we did not sit where she wanted us to. As a result, we were offered no tea/coffee/toast etc. and received many uncomfortable stares! This hotel is of the standard one would expect of a travelodge and is not worth the money. We previously stayed at the Ben Nevis B&B just along th... Read more
