Our daughter booked a night at this hotel for us as a Christmas present. She also booked afternoon tea. The hotel is down a narrow, windy road, although I think for the most part our Sat Nav may have taken us down the very scenic route as the windy roads seemed to last forever! We stayed in Oak room. We were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to this massive room. It has a huge bed, two seater sofa, armchair and footstool plus a wheeled chair at the desk. There is a big mirror abo... Read more

We needed some peace and quiet, so we stayed 3 nights in this hotel. We had an executive suites, which was very comfortable. A king size bed with a step in shower (big enough for 2) complimentary tea/coffee/water/biscuits, a real treat! The room was warm and super comfortable. We dined at the restaurant, I had short rib, it was very dry, due to lack sauce, I did not enjoy at all, my starter and main was terrific. My husband ordered calves liver, it was not cut finely, served like a slab which w... Read more

May husband and I fell in love with the venue as soon as we saw it, we new it would the perfect location for booth our personalities and cultures. The events manager, Mala, and all of the staff were excellent, they looked after all of the bridal party, grooms party, all of our fiends and family with the upmost care and respect, making our very special day unforgettable. The food is stunning and the bedrooms so comfortable.

We stayed this weekend as we were attending a wedding nearby. A pleasant hotel overall although the Buddha and elephants outside reception were a little strange and do give the entrance the look of a restaurant! The food was great as we had both breakfast and dinner, with good choice and quality.

Our stay at Frensham pond was pleasant. Although I phoned and emailed for early check in - our room wasn't ready when we arrived which was not ideal as we had to change for a wedding in the toilets. Our room eventually became available but this was too late as we were already leaving. Not a very good start but well handled by the receptionist. The bedroom was large and very pleasant. Curtains cut all the light out at night which is amazing, the super king size bed was dreamy and the bathroom w... Read more

Although the Hotel is not as near to Farnham as we had first thought (it was a very wet evening) it was worth the trip down the long winding road. The bar dinner we had was excellent - hot and tasty and filling. Due to the inclement weather we were not able to see the lake in its full beauty (I am sure) and have decided to return to this hotel in the Spring or Summer and explore the area further. I liked the informative book on Surrey - very interesting. The Bar manager and reception staff we... Read more

We stayed for just one night. The staff were helpful and polite and the food was delicious both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is in a picturesque and quiet location although our room looked on to the car park. The only disappointment was the shower in the room as it kept changing from hot to cold and back again but we made reception aware on check out.

We had booked a boxing day family meal for my father's birthday. The table was a massive round table to seat 10 of us, we had a fantastic position in the restaurant overlooking the lake. The food was very good, friendly helpful staff, efficient service and good value for money with diy coffee free at the end with mince pie! We weren't hurried at all and spent 2/3 hours leisurely eating and chatting, then moved to the bar area for another hour or two. The bar area is lovely but not huge so if the... Read more

Upgraded to a superior suite with pond view which was perfect. Heating problem with the room which should have been sorted by more than a fan heater supplied last thing at night. Bath robe ties missing ! Lacking the final touches. Evening meal and breakfast superb.

Generally we enjoyed our stay. We booked in on a relatively cold day to be met by a cold bedroom. After 1.5 playing with the thermostat with no rise in temperature we asked that someone sort out the problem. We were advised to use the fan heater provided. We eventually felt a bit warmer but were very unhappy that a small fan heater was the main source of heat. in a large bedroom. The bar area was also cold and although we asked for the heating to be turned up it didn't happen. The lack of hea... Read more
