I recommend this hotel. I stayed for 2 nights then went on an overnight tour then came back! I like being able to choose options to pay only for what i ned. Wi-fi very reliable and fast. Transportation so easy - near bus, tram, train (only a few steps away). Pub/bar right beside the hotel.

Located opposite haymarket station, 10 minute walk to princes street. Love this place, you build your own rate. Room without or with window, add towels, toiletries, Wifi and tv. No breakfast available but restaurant next door. You can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks. Beds are really comfy, rooms not big but efficiënt, bathroom spacious and very clean, nice atmosphere. Staff are ever so friendly for me it's always a pleasure to stay there.

This hotel was clean and staff friendly. However it is incredibly small. We had a first floor room and it was by the trash pickup. Everything is extra including towels and TV, which they turned off accidentally the last day. No phone in room to call down to front desk. Not a bad walk to the city center but if you're American this is nothing we are accustomed to. You also have to pay for early check in and a fee to watch luggage.

We booked this hotel as it was just across the road from Haymarket Station. The tram & bus to the city centre & airport stopped across the road directly in front of the train station. Princes Street was about 5 minutes by tram & everything was within easy reach. The road was small but laid out in such a way that we still had room. (We were staying in a twin room). You pay extra for things like tv, wifi, towels etc but it was still cheaper than any other local hotel! We found the reception staff ... Read more

There is a pub-eatery attached, that was ok, (staff more interested in each other then customers). only a few blocks to grocery-convenience store, is a easy walk.

This is a very nice hotel. Staff are very attentive to your needs and very pleasant to deal with. Rooms are quite small but just fine. Rooms and bed were very clean. Great location for public transit. Trams and buses stop right outside. Heymarket train station across the road. A restaurant and bar joins this hotel that has great food. Pay and display in the rear, ask at the desk as it is hidden, £15 per day.

I had just come from a very modern Tune in London so thought this would be similar. Room was actually a decent size, no complaints there, and the bed too. But everything was a bit worn out. There were scuff marks all over the walls and everything else seemed a bit tattered. That said, the staff were excellent. Front desk staff were very attentive and couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast in the attached restaurant, while not cheap was also very good. I'd stay here again, but would try f... Read more

Visited Edinburgh in early June with a bunch of friends and the majority of us stayed in the Tune hotel. I stayed in a twin room, basic size however very clean. You are essentially paying for a bed and shower so if you are needing tv, wifi etc. all of these are extra add-ons. Possibly one for ease of mind is getting the room safe though access to the rooms area is behind a secure card-access door. The location is great, if you are taking the tram/bus from the airport it is on front of you when ... Read more

My friend and I were only staying at the Tune Hotel for one night. Across the road from the station, easy to walk to the centre .... But... They charge for everything at this hotel chain.. Very small and claustrophobic. Luckily the booking I had made included towels,TV and hairdryer otherwise these are just a few of the things they charge extra for. We turned up early, so it was either pay an extra £7 for early arrival or £3.50 to leave our bags. So we just went off for a bit instead. No kettl... Read more

Towels, toiletries and TV were included in our deal which I didn't realise beforehand so had come prepared - a lovely surprise! Platform 5 next door a must for breakfast.

We stayed here only for one night before traveling on to Inverness by train. As expected, our room was really small, but very clean and functional. Friendly staff. The concept is to pay extra for everything you might need in addition to just the accommodation, e.g. Wifi, TV, etc. Due to this the (base)prices are very affordable.

Despite booking around 6 months ago we we're informed on arrival that the rooms they had for us we're not the rooms we had booked. We'd booked 2 double rooms with windows. What we were given was 1 double without windows and 1 twin with windows. The excuse given was that a conference had booked all together and errors had occurred in the booking system. It seemed however that the conference had been given priority as it would be more lucrative to the hotel. To 'compensate' the hotel reception sta... Read more

Stayed for 1 night. We decided to pay more to save adding up all of the extras you need to pay for (wifi, towels, safe, hairdryer etc). The room was cosy and it was very clean. The wifi has to be paid for but has a very bad connection. Location of hotel is great very close to train station and town. Check out is 10 am and it is quite expensive for late check out. Booked for two nights on my way from Australia to pick up daughter in Edinburgh for trip to Spain. The only thing extra I paid for was a towel which was big and sparkly white and soft. Room was small but so thankfully was the price of it. It was spotless and the bathroom was very good. I really have nothing negative to say. Edinburgh is expensive so we took the opportunity to book this hotel through a conference we were attending. The proximity to Haymarket station and its tram stop straight from the airport was ideal. I already knew about the extras and add-ons and the compact size of the rooms so no false expectations and no surprises there. We adjusted. There's a reason why this hotel is so cheap. They charge you literally for everything else. Check-in is at 3, but if you want to check early, they charge you. Leave your bag at the hotel, they charge you. Their shower kit, which they also charge you for, doesn't even consist of shampoo.
