I stayed here for five nights whilst attending a course at the University. The room was decorated in a basic way but was spotlessly clean and tidy. There was a TV, tea and coffee making facilities which were refreshed every day, a hairdryer, spacious wardrobe and Wi-Fi. The ensuite wetroom/shower makes the most of the space allowed but clean fluffy towels were available and could be changed every day on request. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice including fresh fruit, cereals past... Read more

Just an overnight stay, but found the hotel / hostel to be well located, clean and cost competitive for Edinburgh city centre. 10 minutes walk from Princess St at Waverley end. Room was basic, but had small television, tea / coffee facilities, towels etc. Very good breakfast (cooked to request). Free WiFi. Good location.

This is former student accommodation, with one corner of the room removed to create en suite facilities. It was extremely cramped, even for a single person occupying what purported to be a double room. Some possible rearranging of the furniture might have created a little more space, although not much. The en suite facilities consisted of a wet room than a shower room, and the wash basin was tiny. The building does not have an elevator. This did not particularly bother me, but guests should be ... Stayed overnight on a visit to Edinburgh. Firstly, excellent city centre location, with free parking available at a bit of a walk (twenty mins?). Very basic accommodation, (ex Halls of Residence), up a few flights of stairs with no lift! Tiny shower/toilet/basin in the corner of the room. Very clean, but lacking in character, very comfy bed. Breakfast is served in another building a short walk away. Very well organised, vast selection and beautifully cooked. All staff were friendly and helpful. ... Read more

Situated on a quiet back street, but within walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh. My single accommodation was basic with an en-suite wet room, tea / coffee making facilities (although the kettle was too large to fit under the tap - I had to use a mug to fill it), small tv, phone & free wi-fi. Breakfast was filling - buffet items (baked goods, cereals, juices, cold meats, cheeses etc) along with a large choice of hot food cooked to order. Staff were all friendly. Ideal place for those ...
