My Christmas present from my husband a couple of nights away to a Hilton hotel! On check in the staff couldn't be more helpful, room not ready but we were early however if we waited a bit longer we could have an upgraded room. When we opened the door my husband was gutted at how grotty and rundown the room was and well the bathroom....it was small and extremely dated to the point it felt dirty but I said it was fine and we got in with it! Bed creaked every time you moved and we hardly slept a wi... Read more

Booked a trip 3 months ago on a weekend deal. My girlfriend dislocated her knee the week before our visit. I called the hotel and they were able to give us an accessible room so she didn't have to struggle to get over the bath into a shower. When we checked in late Friday evening the two check in staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast Buffett was incredible and the two chefs cooking the eggs on Saturday were very chatty and friendly! Very impressed with the level of service prov... Read more

I must say the staff here were brilliant everyone seemed to help everyone which was lovely to see its a really old building so expect creaky floors nice decor The breakfast was of excellent quality and worth paying for if you had pre booked The downside was no fridge and you had to pay for wifi and the to was limited but saying all of that I would stay here again

We stayed here for a weekend in January. The checkin process was very smooth and staff were very friendly. We had booked a small double and yes it was small but for mainly sleeping in suited us fine. However we were located on the top floor at the end of the corridor the room was quite close to the main street and noisy mainly noticeable in the morning. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Good accessibility to town literally a 10 minute walk. Tram and bus stop literally at end on the street fro... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday. The place is awful. Got a good rate and was pleased. Until I checked in. Bathroom tiles had no grout. Shower was mouldy. Carpets were stained. The tv was fuzzy. Floor boards are so bad that when you walk around the room every thing wobbles and shakes. Every piece of furniture is damaged. The whole place needs a full renovation. I stepped out of the shower and a floor tile lifted cracked and stabbed the sole of my foot. After I complained the staff added ... Read more

This hotel is in a great location with a short walk or tram ride to Princes Street and the Grassmarket. It is directly across the street from Haymarket rail station so this was very convenient as we arrived by train. Rooms are clean and spacious although it would be fair to say the hotel looks a little old - especially in the corridors. I am a Hilton diamond member and this was acknowledged at check in with a room upgrade. The breakfast is excellent with a huge choice of traditional Scottish fay... Read more

We stayed at this hotel between Christmas and New Year on the Prosecco, Dinner, bed and breakfast deal and found that deal to be excellent value. We arrived at the hotel early and was able to leave our luggage and return to check in at 3pm. The room was fine, reasonably small with a rather small double bed (but that is what they told us we had booked!), however the package as a whole was very good value. We enjoyed the three course meal included in the deal and was able to have the Prosecco with... Read more

Having stayed at the Grosvenor a few nights each week for the last two and a half years I feel well placed to make a judgment. In that time I can't remember any issues of note, the rooms have been great... warm, clean and comfortable. The food is good (especially the curry). The location is ideal for Haymarket station & West End Village. OK so no Exec lounge or gym etc.. but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff in all areas more than makes up for this. Exceptional service!! For me its b... Read more

Stay from start to finish was excellent. Great central location for train station, tram, princes street shopping and theatre. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was superb with plenty to choose from.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Edinburgh at the grosvenor Hilton and I can't speak highly enough of it. The staff of this hotel are what really makes it. Helpful, friendly, attentive and genuinely interested in the comfort of your stay. The room we had was lovely, very clean and spacious with a huge double bed. We stayed for four days and I can definitely say we will be back again. Thank you to everyone we met during our stay!
