Nice clean hotel. A bit out the way from the local shops and city center but it's not a far walk. Nice river at the back of the hotel which you can walk beside. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Simple and quick check in for room 104. This is an older upgraded hotel, budget with the need to really invest in a comprehensive up-grade. The corridors are noisy when anybody went by the room which was basic with sockets blocked off, leaving minimal outlets. Reasonable lighting and the WIFI worked well. The twin beds were firm but ‚??sleepable‚?? with thinner pillows than normal and the desk top area was sufficient for the lap-top. We opened the window for fresh air but it is adjacent to the ... I think this hotel haven't any vacuum cleaner on site to use it for rooms. Hand towels should be a standard but you have to ask for it as you have only bath towels available in room plus not really good cleanliness.

I have been in many hostels and hotel in United Kingdom but for me this was so far one of the worst one. The firs problem we had was that when we arrive the attendant at the check-in was extremely rude with us. Secondly I stay in a humidity bedroom and the noisy of the river near my bedroom was too loud that took me a while to sleep. Apart from that the price of the hostel is suitable for those who don't a wide budget to travel.

I've stayed in cheap and cheerful hotels, but this is neither cheap nor cheerful. Where to start? We had two rooms over Hogmanay for our party, and the window in both rooms wouldn't shut properly filling the room with freezing cold air from outside which the tiny, antiquated Dimplex heater was quite unable to combat. Our toilet wouldn't flush properly. The shampoo dispenser in the shower dispensed only water. We complained about it but nothing was done. Two lights in the ceiling over our bed wou... Read more

stayed at this hotel for one night, was really wanting to go straight back home as hotel wasn't very clean, it is badly needing refurbished and a good painting. The cleaners are needing sacked, don't think they know what a duster is, can't see out window for dirt. Also ¬£24 for taxis to playhouse. Would have rather have paid more for a decent hotel. Would never use this hotel again!!!!!!ū??°ū??°

Stayed for two nights and this is one hotel I will never visit again. No one on our trip was happy. The breakfasts totally disorganised. The dining room tables not ready and not enough for the number of guests. Expensive bar prices. Bed was comfy, hard but comfy. The room was cold and could benefit from curtains as well as the roller blind, it was above the car park and the generator noise was constant. You could have a bath and a shower at the same time because the plumbing was rubbish. No ward... Read more

My wife and I spent a 4 day midweek break at this hotel from 21st - 25th November. When we arrived the weather was -3 degrees outside and the room wasn't much warmer. We were on the first floor in room 7 and you would have anticipated that the room would have been heated when they knew the room would be occupied. There was a useless old convector radiator that cut out when it reached its maximum temperature and moved on to a lower one. No way was it capable of heating a room of this size during ... Read more

My husband and I stayed here with a organised coach holiday. The rooms: marked, tired looking and poorly decorated. Our room was 309 and although it was spacious the only opening window was directly above the kitchens so we couldn't open it as the whole room smelt of food. Bed was comfy ......especially after a whisky or two. Food: Edible....just! The same food was served both nights of our stay and wasn't the best quality. The food was left out a long time without been replenished (serving t... Read more

I honestly don't know we're to start of with this. I generally speaking wouldn't be the type of person to go out of my way to force an opinion on to others but, this time I have too say my price. Me & my partner we're heading up to Edinburgh for the Christmas markets, we decided to book a room in this hotel which was £140 for one night. Pictures on the website looked okay & was close enough to the city. Upon the arrival the foreign lady on reception was just wanting to take the payment for the ... Read more
