A great hotel based within easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Free parking is great, though you may have to wait for a short while to get a space (Metered parking is available across the road and is free after 18:30hrs) All staff are friendly and happy to make your stay perfect. Rooms were large and quite comfortable with Tea and Coffee and free safe. Wifi was a bit slow, but okay.

We arrived in Edinburgh by train from London and took a cab to the hotel (buses from nearby Princes Street stop almost outside the hotel). We stayed here one night in a Comfort Room. There are parking spaces but can't comment on this as it was not one of our requirements. WHAT WAS GOOD On arrival we had a very friendly greeting, were checked in quickly and efficiently and asked if we required any information Our room (231) was large with an enormous bathroom with bath/shower combination, comfor... Without contradiction our stay was the best of any hotel to date. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who even went to the extreme of providing gluten free biscuits for me. Those biscuits were delicious. The room was spacious and warm. Breakfast? You must try the Greek yoghurt and fruit comport. The ultimate test is whether or not you would return to a hotel and, yes, without a doubt we'll be back.

Stayed for 2 nights in this average hotel. Location is good, staff was ok. Otherwise average service quality and rooms. We got a good off peak deal though. An ok resting place in Edinburg since all activities make one feel tired.

The hotel is situated on one of the main approach roads into Edinburgh, and is consequently easy to locate. My single room on the first floor was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The facilities are generally quite good, and the staff I encountered were all pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. It is immediately apparent that restaurant and bar prices are considerably more expensive than other hotels belonging to this chain which I have stayed at in England. This caused me to wonder... We stayed in a family room for two nights while visiting for a family birthday celebration. The hotel is conveniently located with a nice view over Bruntsfield Links and has a very welcoming entrance. Our room on the ground floor was really two rooms (one with a king size bed and the other with bunk beds for the children), each with its own widescreen TV, and a shared bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, with lovely crisp linen and there were plenty of towels. The breakfast buffet with tabl... Read more

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and found the staff friendly and attentive. The rooms very comfortable & well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was roomy with space for all your toiletries. Especially liked the residents sitting areas - a nice touch. Very convenient for city centre and it's good to have a car park but it was usually full, although we had no difficulty parking when we arrived.. The breakfasts were lovely-plenty choice but we were not so keen on the evening menu (Brasserie s... Read more

Stayed at the Bruntsfield Hotel for several nights for a business trip. The bed was amazingly comfortable, there was a lovely tea set in the room with biscuits. There is parking right outside the door which was very convenient, and the hotel is located across the street from a beautiful park. Located just outside the city centre, we did not have any problem walking to the main sights and enjoyed the local shops as well which include lovely bakeries and places to buy gifts. As the weather was col... Read more

Lovely hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. Had an executive room which was spacious, well presented and very quiet. The bathroom was a good size with an amazing power shower! Breakfast was cold buffet style with a hot breakfast order - lovely! Car park was full when we arrived late afternoon but I was able to park on the road (ticket machine). I moved the car into the car park the following morning.

Most definitely our favourite place to stay when in Edinburgh. Nice clean rooms, great service, good food, quiet location outside city centre but close enough to walk in (35mins) or easy taxi ride (10mins). Plenty of nice restaurants, coffee shops, etc right outside though, and some lovely walks through the links down through the meadows starting right opposite the hotel.
