We decided to pay a little extra to stay somewhere a bit nicer than we usually would as we were celebrating an occasion and it was a great decision. We had a lovely warm welcome at reception by a man who couldn't do enough to help. He took time to advise us about what we may like to do during our visit. The room was fabulous. I had emailled a couple of weeks earlier to request a room with a nice view and although the hotel could not promise we were given a room facing the park in the front of th... Read more

We stayed at Bruntsfield Hotel Edinburgh for two nights. We chose the Four Poster Bed Superior room. The room and its bathroom were very spacious and clean. Coffee / tea making facilities with very qualitative tea and hot chocolate were included but there was no fridge. We also had to ask for a toilet brush, as there was none in the bathroom. Wi-Fi was stable and without any speed issues. The breakfast selection was simple but sufficient and there were many hot dishes available to order. We foun... Read more

I stayed here several times about 20 years ago and enjoyed it hence thought I would revisit. Is a very nice hotel still and we had a lovely large bathroom with freestanding bath. We were too full up from evening meal to eat much breakfast however what we had was very nice, apart from the coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and new year in this wonderful hotel. After reviewing many hotels for this little Christmas trip, we came across Bruntsfield Hotel, and what a jolly good find this was! We booked a double room, and were allocated a lovely large quiet room at the back of the hotel. Spacious and welcoming with lovely decor fabrics and bedding. Shower over large bathtub, bathroom and bedroom spotless. Staff extremely professional and welcoming in all areas of the hotel. The ... Read more

We we told that we would have adjoining rooms; which we did not have. This was a problem since we were traveling with our children. I was not able to stay with my husband because we had to sleep with the kids. The rooms were very dated. The restaurant was in the basement and was really closed off. There weren't any windows or fresh air. I thought that it would be better after reading all the reviews.

Lovely good sized room and en suite with shower and bath. Staff very friendly and helpful. The car parking is really good being on site and the main town is only a short bus ride from outside the hotel. Quiet suburb and open aspect over the Brunrsgield links with on site, easy parking included in the tariff, make this our favourite Edinburgh hotel. Have stayed here a few times and never have been disappointed.

Location of this hotel, I felt, was very good. It was in a nice area, close to a lovely variety of restaurants and shops. I picked Best Western, due to my previous experience with other Best Westerns. I mainly was aiming for Sleep quality! The staff was very helpful. They do have parking, but it's very small. So get there early-ish before busy check in time... We didn't get in until about 8p. Overall, our room felt rather shabby. This isn't a major factor, but did kind of give a strange... Read more

Arrived at 2pm on Friday 2nd Dec to get checked in to a lovely cosy room. Everything was smooth sailing and nothing was too much bother for any of the staff members. The BEST breakfast I've had staying away in a hotel. A perfect walk into the city center over looking a park which we walked through also. Would recommend this hotel to everyone looking a weekend away in the city. Would love to have got a chance to dine in the restaurant as the menu looked amazing also!

First the hotel was very relaxed about our arrival time because we were waiting for a call to go (from Durham 150 miles). We had dates booked but they were happy to try to accommodate us if we needed to alter them a day or so each side. (New grandchild due!).I am a client with disability needs (wheelchair, accessibility, need afternoon sleep so need room services asap once we say so each morning). Secondly all of our special needs, however trivial they may seem (help with moving around the build... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and on each occasion have found it to be consistently very good in all areas. The hotel is not right in the centre but only a 15 minute walk to Princes Street and 5 minutes from the King's Theatre. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices and the staff are only too pleased to help. The only gripe (if it could be called that) I had on my most recent visit was that the water pressure of the shower was ... Read more
