Stayed for one night for a trip to the races. Pleasant 15 minute walk to the course. Room was perfect and comfortable, staff more than helpful and polite and the atmosphere in the bar was such that we stayed until the early hours with staff and other guests. Highly recommended, would definitely use again.

We came up for the races and stayed Sat night. Hotel location is ideal for the racecourse; situated in a square overlooking a green. Unfortunately our view was of the car park. However, room was clean & tidy; a few niggly things; remote control didn't work, neither did one of the plug sockets. Paintwork round a picture was different to the wall itself. Most surprisingly, for a double room, only one bath sheet and hand towel had been provided. Saying all this, the customer service was great... Read more

Lovely great large building with lots of character. One of the best beds and pillows slept in for long time, got a great nights sleep. Manager gave us big friendly welcome and allowed us to park out front of the hotel and gave us pass to park for our stay. Would recommend this hotel to others.

I stayed here last month as I was attending a party at the hotel... I checked in at about 4 o'clock and the party wasn't till 8, so I wanted to lay and chill for a bit... This was impossible!!! No TV remote for the tv so when I had to change the channel or volume I had to keep standing up to go to the TV and change the channel or volume.. Later on I went in the bath, and an alarm kept going off.. I don't know if it was a fire alarm but it went off twice without warning!! Overall not a bad place,... Read more

Used this family run hotel before, it has just undergone a refurbishment. Stayed in a room overlooking the park, beautiful view on a very sunny weekend. Full english breakfast fantastic as always. A big thank you to Helen, the chef who always makes an effort to come out to talk to us.

I don't understand how anyone could not give the Regent anything other than a fantastic review everyone from the very active and caring owner Simon downwards offer so much genuine customer focus. I work or did work for a Major Oil Company and have lost count of the number of Hotels I have stopped in but the Regent one of the best why ?. I had my retirement party at the Regent last Saturday we took 22 rooms and had 120 guests. The party was organised by the Hospitality Manager Jennifer and nothi... Read more

Stayed here overnight for yet another taekwondo competition lol Efficient checkin, and our twin room was a good size, very clean, the beds very comfortable. Had a lovely view of the small park across the road. Good size bathroom with bath and power shower, with toiletries provided and nice clean towels. Tea & coffee and a trouser press. We ate in the restaurant for dinner which I shall review separately but it was good and tasty :D Buffet breakfast was included which included continental op... Read more

Close to centre, shops and rail, but just off the main road so peaceful. This is a modern, immaculately clean hotel and very comfortable for business or pleasure. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food in the restaurant is amazing. The chef is so passionate about her menu that she frequents the dining area for feedback. I stay in many hotels and would have no hesitation at coming here again.

We stayed recently for our wedding anniversary and couldn't have had a nicer evening. The food is excellent and the rooms are really comfortable. Being central I didn't even need my car. Close to the railway too. We were also able to walk into the town centre for a drink which was nice too. A huge thanks to Simon for helping us whilst booking

We were staying in Doncaster to visit family, main reason we picked this hotel was that it had its own parking, although is was small car park and it was a case of first come first served,we hadn't planned on using the car all weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that we were only a 2 mins walk from the town and restaurants, however far enough away not to have to worry about the noise from the nightlife. Would definatle stay again and also recommend to others.

I booked my end of year staff event through the hotel using one of their package deals that included room, DJ, food and a free room & bottle of bubbly for the organiser. I can only say if you're thinking about this, book it! The staff literally go out of their way to help you in any way possible (which included having to change the package twice due to a change in numbers), the food was really tasty and plenty of it, the DJ accommodating to any sing requests, reasonable drink prices and walking ... I can not thank Jen , Stuart , Michelle and all the other staff member's ( unfortunately i don't know all your names ) for making the party a success with the attention to detail plus making all the guests feel welcomed. I have had numerous messages from friends and family saying the venue was great and the hot buffet food was very tasty, some have even said it was the best buffet... Read more

The staff are so professional and helpful. We arrived in red hot temperatures and in the middle of a power outage! Staff brought us a fan and ice! Reception even called us to offer advice on the best table for dinner as there was a large party dining. Cant get better service than that! Dinner was great. Full Yorkshire breakfast was g... Looked lovely from website. Attended a meeting here but the conference room was a function room split down the middle. It was a big cold room which we had to walk through guests eating their breakfast to get to. On arrival the car park was full and there was no visible disabled parking. When I called reception to see where the disable parking was I was told there wasn't any. The place was generally just a bit shabby looking and could be really lovely with some TLC

The location of the hotel is great if you are traveling without a car. The town centre is just a short walk away from the hotel. Parking is limited, so not so good if you are driving. The rooms are clean but there are no added amenities and no in room safe. The rooms overlooking the park are lovely, the rooms at the back of the hotel are small and extremely noisy. What a smashing hotel this is. Great location for the town centre and just away from the noisy weekend revellers in town. All staff really friendly, happy and helpful. Bar prices were reasonable and the one bar snack we had very tasty as were the mornings full English breakfasts. I am Gluten Free and they always have something super for me to eat, always great coffee too. I have visited for New years, for charity events, just for lunch and other parties - can not rate this place high enough 10* out of 5 !
