Stayed at my second Hilton property this week, this time in Dartford. Location great for the area I needed to be in and good for Bluewater Shopping Centre if you need a bit of retail therapy. Decent size car park with a £3 overnight charge which is reasonable. Modern reception and check in was efficient, given a room on 5th floor. Lift took an age to get there, had to check the floor counter to realise I was actually moving. Room was decent size, decoration a little tired and could do with ... Read more

The check in staff are friendly. The bar staff not so much. The rooms are tired and the windows don't open and are so filthy you can barely see out of them. The beds comfortable enough and the wifi is fine. The price of a Costa Coffee downstairs exceeds the price of a service station. Top tip, there's a Costa around the corner at normal prices. The gym is good and the pool looked good, the staff in there were friendly. Parking is good and I got a space even late at night. (not free though) no ... Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are reasonably comfortable but the bathroom was tired, lots of cracked tiles and generally a bit scruffy. The main body of the hotel is quite run down and the bar area is not exactly well laid out or comfortable. The staff, although not rude, were curt and not particularly helpful unless asked. Because I stayed as part of a large group, we had buffet style food in the evenings. although there was a lot of food, it was awful. Bland, tasteless and lots of obvi... Read more

Very average. Beds are like sleeping on cardboard (and I'm not exaggerating!). There were 8 of us stay here and we all said the same thing at breakfast. Rooms are very clean, but old looking now. Wouldn't stay again, definitely not worth the money.

Heater was not working, staff did not repair it, just gave me a noisy radiator and reception did not upgrade me to a room with a working heater. Two sleepless nights and the promise I will not use this Hilton anymore. Letter of complaint was sent and totally ignored by Hilton. I'm afraid the brand is losing a lot of credibility with such poor services

Had a night here as a stop off on our way northwards. To be fair we only stayed here as on a last minute booking it was reasonably priced. Staff here were great, easy check in and off to our room. I'm guessing as it was our first time at a Hilton hotel we had high expections, the photos on the booking site made the rooms look amazing. In reality ours was a replica of a Premier Inn room but without the comfy bed. We had a particularly creaky and not that comfortable bed. Also a large gap under t... Read more

Stayed here a couple of times due to close proximity to Brands Hatch. Our room was spacious, everything was clean and worked well but generally a bit dark and dated lacking any colour or character. The hotel is good and the personnel offer a very helpful service. The only downside of this hotel is that while the location is close to London and in Kent, it is in an isolated area and unless you have a car, you either have to get a taxi each time to go out or stay in. There are no restaurants, bars or shop sin the immediate vicinity.

I booked this hotel, hoping it would be in a quiet location, to be able to relax a weekend. It wasn't. During our stay there was a wedding going on, on itself not an issue, if it was not for guest lying around in the hallways, even if they didn't have a room. Have stayed here before and is great for what we need as it is close to my family and are out most of the time. We will stay again but its not the kind of place i would consider luxury or for a relaxing weekend as coming from the area I know there is better but for us budget and conveniance i... Read more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in ! Big rip in net curtain, big gash in bath . No bottled water in room , had 2 mugs 1st night then only 1 the 2nd night until we complained. No hotel information pack so didn't know when dinner or breakfast was. No numbers on phone so didn't know how to contact reception or room service . Stayed 2 nights & had to reactivate our room key as it logs you out !

Overall not a bad Hotel however they are currently going through a period of refurbishment which really should have been made clear prior to our visit. The pool and Gym area were not in use the night we stayed which was disappointing and also the bar was closed. Upon asking for two separate beds we were told they could make up the sofa bed for one of us, well unfortunately this sofa bed was not fit to be deemed a bed! I have never had a more uncomfortable nights sleep in my life. Truly unworth... Read more

Don't know what all these bad reviews are. We stayed last Oct when going to Brands for BSB and so booked again this year then started to see all the bad reviews. Alot of public areas now refurbed (dining room looks like still to be done). Corridors on our floor all preped to be redone so doesn;t look great but it's not a problem. We were on 5th floor - room was fine not dirty and didn't see any 'stains' as others have said. Yes it's looking a bit old but nothing wrong with anything and I guess a... Read more

notified upon check in the hotel was undergoing refurb, main bar was closed first evening of our stay, pool closed for full duration. Strong smell of paint, lobby was untidy, contractors kept us awake most of the first night working on the bar refit. Upon reporting the problem we were given 2 drinks vouchers and not even offered the chance to move rooms. On the whole a poor show from HIlton Hotel.

This property is undergoing renovation work at the moment and the place is a mess. I am a Diamond HHonors VIP and was shocked at the state of the floor I was on (Floor 5). Despite having a standard requirement to be near an elevator my room was as far away as possible opposite a fire exit where the door was wedged open (a fire door!) There was an empty beer can on the floor next to the elevator, no wallpaper on the walls and a smell of decorating materials everywhere. Surely a floor should be cl... Read more

We decided last minute to get away and we needed a hotel on the outskirts of London. We have stayed here before a few years ago, it is easy to get too and the staff are always pleasant everywhere is clean and tidy I would just say that the rooms are very dated and have not changed at all in a long time. But worth staying here as it does offer good value for money.

We stayed here for our wedding night celebration and stayed in a very large suite. Excellent accommodation, service and amenities. Food from room service was good value for money although very large portions. Breakfast in room was arranged and came as requested and in the time requested. All in all an excellent stay.

No bath robes in the room which were included in the package. When we finally got through to the Hotel reception they did arrange for them to be bought up, when we finally received them they were just dumped into our hands. No apologies or anything. Trying to get through to reception on 3 separate occasions, having to wait 45 minutes each time for them to answer the phone and in the end we had to use our mobile phone to contact the hotel to order room service. The hotel reception tried to charge... Read more

Location is fantastic as it near the M25 easy access to London and the Kent coast. Although near the motorway, the hotel is relatively quiet. The general atmosphere is very clean and a bit rural. The breakfast is lovely and staff are very friendly. The room was reasonably large but the only downside was the bed was not very comfortable.

Have just returned from a stay here for 2 nights. Plus points are good food, clean environment, friendly staff. However the bed was soo uncomfortable, woke with backache and hip pain both nights. The shower was too powerful and flooded the bathroom and also bath was blocking up. Some people also experienced noise and serious disturbance from other guests.

Stayed for one night for Birthday dinner and shopping at nearby Bluewater shopping centre, really nice reception area and bar, lovely welcome from Receptionist too. Rooms a good size and clean and well equiped. Breakfast was excellent, staff really helpful. I think it was the Chef who overheard me looking for butter, I sat down, he actually came to find me to give me the butter.

I booked a SUITE. Not a room but a suite. The whole hotel is shabby but the suite actually smelt of something distasteful as soon as I opened the door. The few bits of furniture were all grubby and the table surfaces scratched. The 'coffee table' had smashed corners. The bath had a large piece of the enamel missing. No fridge. No water. Dirty carpet in the room, filty carpet in the lift. If this is what the suites are like I shudder at the thought of what the kitchen could be like. I left wit... Read more

The Hotel a room was lovely. No fault there at all. Unfortunately we used the Gym. This was dirty especially the Steam Room Floor. When we mentioned it they said it had been cleaned in the morning. Shame it was now about 6.30pm and filthy. When room key refused to work nobody on Reception so had to shout. Not impressed and if possible will avoid in future.

Nice modern hotel (shortly to become a Doubletree I believe). Stayed here a few times now and never been disappointed with the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms or the facilities. Huge room, great breakfast choice. My one and only gripe is the price of the food. Far too expensive to eat at the restaurant.

Only stayed for one night, but the lobby, room, bar and restaurant were top quality. Large room, HUGE bed. Comfy sofa too, which is something I miss as I am on the road a lot. Only negative I have, and its the same for all hotels, is they use the little pots of milk in the room rather than real milk. Will try and use this hotel again for all visits to the area

Stayed here after going Christmas shopping with my girlfriend, given a room but the bed felt like you was sleeping on a board. We went to the reception and asked if all mattresses were like this they give us a key to another room to check, the mattress was much better. So we was able to change the room very good night's sleep the breakfast was very good lots to choose from. All in all a very pleasant stay at the Hilton would stay again.
