Usual Holiday Inn Express hotel, good value. Rooms a little small and the bed was probably in need of a new mattress as it felt a bit lumpy. But still had an average nights sleep. The room was clean and the shower was excellent. The staff are very friendly, which is not always the case at Holiday Inns, so that was a nice surprise. Breakfast was average, the servery was a little cramped and got a bit congested. There is a Harvester restaurant very nearby if lunch or dinner is needed. Be advised... Read more

This was a disaster for us. Our room was cold and we hardly slept all night as it backed onto a main road and the double glazing ( it if is in fact DG) didn't work. The pillows were synthetic and two were like concrete and two were soft. We didn't appreciate this and I had the concrete ones. Breakfast was a joke. No cutlery. A member of hotel staff telling us in broken English that they forgot to cook sausages and the scrambled eggs rubbery. The same server then turned up with a bag of croissant... Read more

This is not the usual hotel i stay in, generally I stay in hotels as part of a holiday or for city breaks, but the flight was early and the tarins were late so I decided to book at This Holiday Inn Express. The reception was very professional and the staff were very friendly and helpful (Thank you Katie Kitapci). The room was much bigger than I had expected and the bed was huge. Tea and coffee facilities (I needed more milk and asked at reception and was given eight more!) The bathroom and show... Read more

I stay in this hotel very regularly on business. The staff are very friendly, rooms clean and beds comfy. The wifi is ok and overall the hotel is good - the one issue is breakfast. Now you know what you're going to get with a Holiday Inn Express breakfast: sausages, scrambled egg and beans. However at this hotel you rarely get that as there is only 1 member of staff on and they cannot keep up. This time there were only 4 old sausages left, dirty crockery left on most tables and no fruit juice as... Read more

I stayed here for business when the normal Hotel I use in Crawley was full stayed here one night then moved to my normal one. The rooms are very newly re- furbished and pleasant but would be on the small side for couples or families (also mentioned by other reviews). I thought I would have to pay for parking but was glad to hear that corporate bookers don't get charged parking. This seems unfair as many others have complained about the £7 parking charge - I think that the hotel is far enou... Read more

I stayed here for work in June and found the facilities ok and the room comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and again, it was alright - croissants and coffee! The bathroom was nice and my room was spacious, and included a desk and a sofa. When I checked in, a gentleman greeted me and he was very helpful and prompt. However, one of the female members of staff on reception was very abrupt, and I got the impression she really didn't want to work in the service industry and found her ... Read more

My husband & I stayed overnight 22.1.2017. We stayed here before so we knew the rooms would be lovely & clean & the beds had firm mattresses which is brilliant for my back & we knew we would be getting a good night's sleep They have obviously made alot of changes not for the better. Parking is charged @ £7 overnight. I queried this & was told this was added back in july last year. We checked into our room which had been newly decorated but as I sat on the bed it was so soft & springy it felt l... Read more

Does everything you'd expect from the brand. Friendly, clean and efficient. Parking plentiful though at a cost. Pub next door is good for a drink. Breakfast doesn't start until 6:30 so before if an early start for a flight. Only negative was our room was very cold and the air con didn't heat effectively - was a snowy and cold night. We were late arriving and had early flight so didn't get a chance to report it - wasn't too bad once under the duvet :-)

As an IHG Club member I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hotels before. So far I found them good value for money. We booked a room for three adults for 1 night before Christmas to catch an early plane next morning. Staff at check in appeared somewhat bored but we only wanted to stay for the night so wasn't expecting a great service, car park was an extra £7 but hey it's London. Up to that point I wasn't overwhelmed but not annoyed either. That changed when I saw the room. We were three adults... Read more

I've stayed at the hotel 2 or 3 times a year over the past few years, and usually found it to be satisfactory. However, now that I have to pay an extra £7 per night to park my car, I'm afraid my stays are over. More business for Premier Inn!
