Does everything you'd expect from the brand. Friendly, clean and efficient. Parking plentiful though at a cost. Pub next door is good for a drink. Breakfast doesn't start until 6:30 so before if an early start for a flight. Only negative was our room was very cold and the air con didn't heat effectively - was a snowy and cold night. We were late arriving and had early flight so didn't get a chance to report it - wasn't too bad once under the duvet :-)

As an IHG Club member I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hotels before. So far I found them good value for money. We booked a room for three adults for 1 night before Christmas to catch an early plane next morning. Staff at check in appeared somewhat bored but we only wanted to stay for the night so wasn't expecting a great service, car park was an extra £7 but hey it's London. Up to that point I wasn't overwhelmed but not annoyed either. That changed when I saw the room. We were three adults... Read more

I've stayed at the hotel 2 or 3 times a year over the past few years, and usually found it to be satisfactory. However, now that I have to pay an extra £7 per night to park my car, I'm afraid my stays are over. More business for Premier Inn!

This was a nice clean hotel, with the rooms very comfortable. You have to pay for parking but other than that it's good value for money. There is a Harvester pub next door (which was handy as we arrived late first night). The breakfast was ok which is in the hotel and there is a small bar to have a last minute drink by reception before going to bed if you want. Town is within walking distance if you want to head off there for a meal. We will stay there again if we are down that way.

Since our last visit there have supposedly been some changes, mainly the introduction of a car parking charge. This time around we felt things weren't as good as our first visit. it was Ok maybe just about average. Room was clean, breakfast wasn't as good as before and we were pleased we only had 1 night here this time.

Have stayed here a number of times and it seems as though they have updated all the rooms, or so the person on reception said. Breakfast is ok and more than adequate. Room was fine. Down side was the introduction of parking charge of £7 per day and when you are paying a higher then average price per room it is a definitely a liberty. When checking in found that they had charged me more for the rooms than the price that was confirmed to me when I booked over the internet (direct with hotel). Guy... Read more

3 star is an amalgam of my first stay (5-star) and second stay (0/1-star). It's an HIX and I'm realistic in my expectations. However, between my first and second stays a parking charge has been introduced. Unfortunately, the website I booked on still claims free parking - presumably not been updated. Second stay didn't post to ihg rewards club (for those who collect the points) and I had to raise a 'missing points request'. IHG HQ posted the stay, but I never got the welcome amenity points - sho... Read more

Arrived to be told there is a £7 parking charge then told the manager i stayed here in October 2016. Then i was told by the manager its been in force since July 2016. Point i was making was why should i pay now when I didn't before. Then placed me in room 328. I told the manageress did you not receive my preferences where i stated over a week ago ground floor. So she changed rooms and again room 108 checked this out no working heating in room. A/C out of order to be told you have to leave the ... Read more

So I paid £65 for a family room so that's alright.. but I wish I had paid a bit more for somewhere else! Room was OK, clean ish and the shower was OK.. breakfast was very limited and the whole place was devoid of any soul! One member of staff trying her best to look after everyone, the place was just depressing! I will not stay again and will opt for a travelodge or premier Inn next time. The kind Lady at check-in diddnt charge me for parking which was nice though..

The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from the centre of Crawley, which, was perfect for me as I prefer to park the car in the hotel and walk. There is a charge for car parking, £14.00. The room are pretty good, clean and tidy with all of the usual requirements, tea and coffee making facilities, shower, soap, towels etc. The breakfast was OK, providing some hot food breakfast, cereals, toast, fruit, tea and coffee. Adjacent to the hotel is the Harvester restaurant, serving food throughout ... Read more
