My husband and myself stayed the night before we went on our holiday and left our car with the hotel it was very easy, just filled in a form and left car keys. On way back had to phone a number once we had got our cases and was told where to pick up the car as it was brought to us at the airport then on our way home it was really easy thanks

We do not get a choice where we stay at Gatwick with work and have to stay here. The rooms are clean enough but very small for two people and luggage. The bathrooms are incredibly pokey with no shower head to wash hair and rinse around the bath. We slept well (with earplugs) but doors do slam. It would be good if they did the same as Premier Inn and put quiet signs in corridors. The staff are OK. I said good morning to housekeeping a few time and was ignored! When I originally stayed here for £41 I had a great experience. No such luck the 2nd time. Faults - Unable to understand the chap on the front desk - Requested a quiet room. Allocated room 112 which overlooks what can only be described as an industrial power plant with a noise to match - Thin walls - Crap replacement shift reception staff who attempted to charge me the £10 parking fee twice - Not a onsite Gatwick Airport hotel as advertised - Rubbish wifi

We stayed here the night before a recent holiday and got a deal with APH Parking which was excellent value. We find the rooms to be ok for an overnight stay, tea and coffee making facilities are a bonus and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. We can't comment on the bar or restaurant as we didn't use them but will definitely stay here again before a holiday.

Got a deal at the crowne plaza for eight days parking and a bed for the night for £75. Excellent value for money. They gave us an early morning wake up call and the taxi was waiting for us when we came down in the morning. On the return, the lady on reception even offered us some water for our drive home (130 miles or so). Only reason it doesn't get five stars is the price and quality of the food in the bar. I paid £46 for two dinners and a couple of beers each. And the beer or food wasn't wor... Read more

When I first walked up to the Crowne Plaza Gatwick hotel (walked because I caught a public bus from the airport) I was nervous because the outside of the building looked very old, dated and a bit dusty. But once inside I was impressed with the fresh carpets in the hallway and the updated rooms. I had the executive suite and called down for a much needed toiletry item. Oh well, it never came. Even though there was a sign beside the bed that clearly read "Did you forget something?" The breakfast... Read more

Booked through Holiday Extras as part of a parking/hotel stay before we were due to fly out early next morning. The car park and outside of the hotel are reminiscent of a run down eighties estate. However the public rooms and reception are very smart and well appointed and the staff on reception were efficient. I did make a point of asking if the room we had been allocated was quiet and the receptionist assured me that it was ( I had read in a previous reply to another review that quiet areas we... I stayed here as part of a hotel and parking deal that I booked through Holiday Extras. I wasn't expecting a Club Room, as I had no indication that I had booked one, but I was certainly glad of the upgrade. The room was very spacious, had a huge bed and even a Bose sound system. The CP Gatwick is a comfortable hotel within a short bus ride of the airport and rail connections. It used to have an OK pool but this has been filled in and the area all opened up into a large bar/lounge/restaurant area. While it is nice it is an area in which of course you are encouraged to spend more money rather than access an inclusive facility - namely a pool. I chose the hotel over the many others due to an assumed upgrade and therefore value for money. I did not receive this, nor access... Read more

Stayed in the Crowne Plaza before catching an early flight. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful but the parking was absolutely dreadful!! Rooms were clean and tidy. One thing that always annoys me slightly, particularly because I'm tall and have a back problem, is the shower. A walk-in shower would make this hotel perfect.

PROs: Good value Pleasant staff Clean Close to airport Booked a dbl and a sgl room, but they gave us 2 dbls opp each other - VG. CONs: Needs a make-over, rooms "worn". Breakfast was not too impressive, complaint made to waitress not followed up. Not many parking spaces. My room was situated next to the boiler/aircon plant and was noisy - just bad luck I guess.

Always feel very comfortable at this hotel, and the staff are always very friendly. Two slight gripes this time: 1) the IHG app gave the base price as 60GBP but the cheapest it offered in the end was around a third more expensive than that. 2) Being jet lagged on arriving from LA, was looking forward to a bit of a lie in. But someone started vacuuming in the corridor at the relatively uncivilised time of 8.30 in the morning. I know hotels, particularly those around busy airports, are busy places... Read more

This is the second time I have used this hotel when I have had an early flight the following morning and it does its job. The staff were friendly, parking is reasonable (£10 per night whilst you are away), the early morning call was only 5 minutes late, and the booked taxi was waiting for us when we got down to the lobby. (£10 to the airport, but £16 for an airport taxi when you return unless you can be bothered phoning the same company, negotiating where to meet and hanging around until it a... Read more

To be clear, my Wife and her sisters stayed at this hotel and I am therefore not here to criticise the stay they apparently enjoyed ahead of their holiday to Turkey. I did not stay, merely dropping off. I'll also start by saying that parking signage is perfectly adequate and you would be hard pressed to miss such a large and significant sign board. However, it does seem that more and more private car parks are using the services of operators such as 'Parking Eye'. The days of someone walkin... Read more

The room was comfortable and quiet - we didn't hear any aircraft noise. Staff were helpful and friendly. We'd recommend the hotel as a reasonably priced hotel for a night and parking during your holiday. The only down side is that its a longish walk to the restaurants in Crawley.

As far as Crown Plaza hotels go, this one is not close to others stayed at. BUT, £90 for a room and 2 weeks parking at the Airport for an early morning flight is a bargain. It is clean. It is comfortable. It did the job. Good enough.

Recently stayed for one night before early morning flight to Morocco. Room a little on the small side, but for one night with an early start it was okay. Felt cold and the heating didn't appear to be working. Rang reception and informed that a man would bring a heater, shortly after a young man arrived with an electric heater that he plugged in and informed us that the heating didn't work in any of the rooms because the building needed upgrading and the management wouldn't spend any money on it.... Typical business/off airport hotel. Staff were attentive and very helpful and are the heart of the hotel. Is around 3 miles? from Gatwick but there is a shuttle bus for a small charge. Only negative is the car park, zero lighting - I'm unsure if there's CCTV but they need to look at lighting the car park up

Whilst the hotel in general is good with acceptable level of food served by pleasant staff and the rooms are comfortable hotel management leaves room for improvement. We were a party of 4 using two rooms and had arranged departure for 0545hrs, and one room had no Hot water even after running the water for 10 minutes which necessitated two people running between rooms to have a shower. Reception contacted and was advised a person would attend the room immediately to rectify the situation. No one... Read more

After 8 hours crossing the Atlantic, clearing the airport and collecting the car we were not in any state to drive 350 miles to our home so we booked in to the Crown Plaza Crawley. Check in was smooth with a very friendly staff. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Heating worked well and after a few weeks in the tropics it was needed. An afternoon walk to get the limbs working then a light bar meal and in to bed in the early evening for one of the best nights sleep for a very long time... Read more

We stayed for 1 night before a flight to France. We had a double room with a baby cot requested. The cot was installed for our arrival. The room was clean, bed comfortable and TV on the wall. We didn't have breakfast but arrived late and the bar looked great. Good atmosphere (football was on). We didn't hear any noise at all in our room. The hotel is close to Gatwick so a short drive away. I would stay here again if I had an early flight the next morning.
