See a lot of this recently - the communal areas are quite snazzy but the rooms are plain tired. This was exactly the case with this place. Stayed here on Tuesday evening. Staff good, place clean, room just dull and dated. Shower rail looked like it had been pulled off the wall at least twice. Two annoyances - have to pay for parking (grr) and I asked for a wakeup call at 7am - they called me at 5am.... Did the job

We had a number of work colleagues stay over and we used the bar area for a meeting. The rooms we had where very nice and breakfast was great. The staff are very helpful and genuine. Very nice and simple to reach by car. We should have booked a room formally for our meeting as the bar area plays (very nice) background music, but this is not needed for calls and meetings.

Staff were lovely and very welcoming. However the afternoon tea was poor. The coffee and tea were weak, the sandwiches were ok but nothing special. The scones were really nice but we did have to share a small pot of whipped cream, a bit stingey really. The major let down was the small slices of cake that were a poor type of mass produced sponge sandwich, the type you would never buy, don't they have a pastry chef? We asked for another scone as a substitute for the cakes, they obliged. My friend... Read more

Stayed for one night for leisure, room was clean and quiet but to say it was on the Hilton Honours floor it was very dated, as regular customers of the Hilton group you would think they would put you in the best possible room and not the oldest. Staff were very good though very professional and friendly.

We visited on a bank holiday Monday and it was very quiet, clearly a hotel more for business than leisure. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. Check in staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast was great. All in all, pretty good. I still don't understand the parking charge though, it's not in or near the city and it's not as if it's easily accessible any other way than car, parking should be included

We stayed at this hotel as we were taking our granddaughter away for a break to visit the Black County Museum and Cadbury's, Chocolate World. The hotel was as expected of Hilton quality, with the rooms spacious and with all the facilities you need for a weekend. As we are Hilton Honors members and booked through their website we had free wi fi in the room as well. Only problem was the restaurant, as it was Easter, and the hotel thought they would be quiet, they were short staffed. Service at the... Read more

This hotel is clearly seen better days. The first room was one of the older ones and the have switched off most of the aircon on the 3rd floor which meant that your sleeping in a stuffy box. Luckily the hotel was quiet and i got moved however the "newer" room was still not up to the hilton standards. You're paying for the name as the quality of the rooms is really the same standard as travel lodges.

Very good leisure facilities the pool was very busy with children in the afternoon, but we came back later and had the pool to our self's, there is a large retail park across the road use your car not very pedestrian friendly.
