We love this hotel but this was our first time back since the new reception had been refurbished and as expected we was not dissapointed. I had informed the hotel it was my partners birthday and they had left a birthday card for her as well as complimentary robes and slippers. We stayed in a recently refurbished executive room which is very modern with tasteful decor and some very nice touches with the lighting and controls in the bathroom for the bath and shower. All the staff as usual are very... Read more

I booked to stay here for my Mums 60th birthday with my two sisters as a girls spa and dining stay. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The lady at concierge had only been in the job 6 weeks and she was brilliant at her job - very welcoming, informative, enthusiastic and probably one of the nicest check ins we have ever experienced (it's such a shame we didn't get her name, but she was blonde, probably in her 50s and was on the desk the afternoon of Thursday 19th May). We stayed here to celebrate both our birthdays, we were slightly worried as there were two weddings on during our stay, but they had put us well away so we were not at all disturbed. The room was beautiful, very spacious with all the mod cons. The staff were lovely, especially in the brasserie restaurant. Breakfast was fab, probably the best we have had in a very long time. Location is great to get to Chester, about 10 minute drive. Could not fault the hotel, we loved our visit and will definit... Read more

My Husband and I visited the Grosvenor Pulford from Friday 20th May to Sunday 22nd May for my 30th birthday. The hotel is lovely, set in lovely grounds and is very well presented. The staff were excellent and cannot be faulted. Due to a dodgey sat nav we managed to take a wrong turning on the way there and ended up in Chester centre but a very patient staff member managed to talk us through how to get there. I had originally made the booking for a standard double room but my Husband called th... Read more

My son and his fiancée got married on 20th may. My husband and I had the most fabulous stay at your hotel and the staff you employ certainly know the meaning of hospitality. From the reception, to the restaurant, the bar and pub food it was all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. As for a wedding venue you couldn't have asked for more, again the staff were there for anything that we asked for with efficiency and eagerness I have never witnessed before. Thank you for making the day so sp... Read more

Fantastic staff, perfect setting, good food and drink in either the hotel or the bar, very friendly staff, clean and if you are looking for somewhere to stay when visiting Chester this is perfect. No problems booking in, the room(exec double) was clean, bed firm, heating OK, over looking the breakfast room, the bar has a great selection of food and drink at reasonable cost, spa was again clean and the pool is a good size for a hotel and spa. Hotel not to bad for noise, breakfast quality high wit... Read more

Excellent food at Nelson's bar on most occasions I have been here. There have been a couple of mishaps which have been quickly rectified and the service is always brilliant. Generous portion sizes never fail to impress and they are always happy to let me take a doggy bag home. The burgers and onion rings are second to none!

We had a deluxe room, and wow loads of room. The en-suite was massive. Unfortunately didn't get an opportunity to explore the gardens as a wedding was being held, however the areas of the Hotel we were able to explore were very clean and The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely one to remember for another visit

Stayed overnight and enjoyed a great meal. Scallops then Salmon and asked for the Salmon to be pink inside but it was well done. No major drama as the meal was very tasty. Was asked if it could be swapped/replaced but I declined, too hungry!! Staff were superb and the room first class. Recommended.

Just for one night: dinner bed and breakfast, but every aspect so very good. Receptionist: delightful. Standard double room: faultless. Food and service at my birthday dinner: memorable. Breakfast; absolutely perfect. My wife and I were only able to spend one night away from home for my 70th birthday and we chose Chester because we have never visited the place but heard such good things about it. A two-hour drive for one night is not a good plan but so happy that we made the decision. So many g... Read more

We stayed here for one night to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary - great location, nice breakfast and really helpful staff. The pool is beautiful and we could not have asked for more! The hotel is about 15 minutes outside Chester and we went to Chester Zoo the day after and it was really handy.

Stayed with my family as part of a shopping weekend. From the start of our stay staff were friendly and helpful. I checked we had 2 quiet rooms as several reviews mentioned noise and indeed on checking out there was a guest complaining of excessive noise but we had no such issues luckily. We ate at Ciro's Brasserie- lovely food and good service. Breakfast was fresh and delicious too.

I have just returned from a one night stay at the Grosvenor Pulford hotel and we had a wonderful time. There was three of us and we had room 37, it was lovely. Two floors and a spiral staircase in the middle of the room. We dined at the Circos italian restaurant and had lovely food. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The only negative issue I have is that one member of the bar staff was quite rude. After our meal we went for some drinks in the bar and you had to show your room card which is... Read more

Although this hotel is a very beautiful hotel my partner and I were very disappointed with what we had an as an executive room. We visited the hotel with friends for 2 nights and had both booked an executive double room. The comparison between the 2 rooms was enormous. Our friends room was very modern and beautifully decorated whereas ours (Room 35) was very plain and dated. We were also put in a room that was in what originally been roof space and which had Velux windows and with the downpo... Read more

This hotel is a fantastic setting for a venue such as a wedding. On main road but has lovely gardens and spa facilities. There was a wedding taking place while we stayed there which was fine except for the noise at night from the disco. This is explained when you book and is on the website however please be warned if you are in need of sleep before midnight this will be unlikely. We stayed at the Grosvenor Pulford for one night to attend an event nearby. The hotel is easy to find and has a large car park. There is a new reception to the right hand side of the hotel which wasn't immediately obvious so we entered through the main porch at the front and through the bar. Clearly we weren't the first to do this as a barman quickly pointed us in the right direction! Spent some time in the pool which was lovely and then evening meal in the restaurant which was again lovely. Then had a drink in the bar which is cosy with sofa's in, room nice and slept well. The smell throw the hotel is lovely and the pool and greens surrounding are all beautiful. Breakfast was nice. Food In the connecting pub was also very good. Meals and portions where worth every penny. Would visit here again.
