Stayed here for 3 nights for jazz festival. Very central location for music venues. Reception staff always welcoming and friendly. Shower in room very big and excellent water pressure and heat. Bed creaked but very comfortable with good pillows. Room very clean. Breakfast good but only sausages available with beans and scrambled egg. Would have liked more variety. A few issues with noisy groups of men coming back late at night and drinking lager at breakfast. Had to buy ear plugs but they worke... Read more

For a one night stay in Cheltenham you can't go wrong with the Holiday Inn Express. A swift check in with lovely staff. A comfy bed and good breakfast. It's a bit shabby around the edges but it was clean. The hotel doesn't have parking but has two car parks on its doorstep which are literally across the road. It's so close to restaurants and the high street it's ideal for a short walk into town and the local attractions.

On business and staff friendly . Rooms comfortable. Had to go next door for food at Harvester. Bad thing had to pay £5 a day parking in a hotel ???. Is near GCHQ at Cheltenham and close to M5. Overall hotel is 3 out of 5 due to parking cost and food not on site.

I think I was expecting more as its a Holiday Inn but it did feel more like a Travelodge. The location is great, easy to walk into the centre and close to the cinema. The thing that really let it down was the breakfast. There was mouldy bread to make toast with which when I pointed it out to the waitress, she just removed the mouldy slice without another word. I knew the choice was limited from reading previous reviews but the sausages tasted dire and the orange juice tasted like that cheap cart... Read more

My partner & I booked this hotel for a one night stay over the bank holiday as it is a great location for the town centre & the price was great which included breakfast. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us lots of information about the hotel & the places around the town which may be of interest. We were given a list of places we could eat at the Brewery complex across the road where we would get discount for being a hotel guest. There isn't parking at the hotel but there is an... Read more

The hotel is next door to a national car park and they give you 25% reduction on the parking so it comes out to about 11 pounds a night. The rooms are nice, have free wifi, a really nice buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. Lucy from the reception gave us tips on where to go in the area

The hotel is centrally located with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It is a typical Holiday Inn Express hotel, fairly new with very clean facilities. There is a car park next door with a 25% discount for guests. Best of all for us was free use of the upscale Fitness First health club a few minutes walk from the hotel, so much better than a "fitness room". The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was better than expected. Excellent value in Cheltenham.

I stayed at this hotel at the weekend it's a no frills very clean hotel ideally situated on the outskirts ( 3 min walk) to the town centre . Breakfast is average with the only hot choice being sausages, beans and scrambled egg. There's selection of fruits , yoghurts cereals as well. I over heard a fellow customer asking for a poached egg where she was told " they don't do extras ".... Pity it just needs bacon ,tomatoes and hash browns to improve the variety . We stayed here for a wedding. The room itself was fairly clean but had a funny smell to it. What was the worst about our stay was the breakfast! It was terrible! It was lukewarm and didn't taste nice at all. When we mentioned it to a staff member they shrugged and said we get that a lot. Way overpriced for what you get!

Love this hotel as it is so convenient for Cheltenham. Just wish they had more irons and ironing boards. I really don't want to iron a shirt in a conference room and when I have to I'd be much happier if the iron actually worked. Gin helped take the edge off the hassle but not a great experience!

Room was fine, double glazed windows to keep out noise. Not too far from city center My dissatisfaction was 1- no bacon at breakfast, 2- scrabbled egg tasted of plastic, ( made from powered egg ??),3-sausages looked uncooked, not nice and 4- found green mold on the brown bread, luckily before I toasted it.

My room was booked well in advance by my employer, yet still cost nearly £150, B&B rate. The staff were efficient and friendly and the hotel is fairly close to the town centre, though not in a very pleasant area. My room was a little bit small, but had all the facilities you'd expect (including free wi-fi), but felt very clinical. We chose this hotel because of the Holiday Inn reputation. This hotel however is a bit soulless and is only suitable for quick visits or if you don't require space to chill out. Rooms are small so is the lounge. Breakfast is included in the price but if you come late you get nothing.

My company stayed here during the RIAT airshow which was a 40 minute drive. One of the best benefits of the hotel is the use of the gym which is a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was ok, but not outstanding. There is only 1 or 2 iron/ironing boards in the hotel and you have to wait until the previous person returns the iron. Have never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express before so was not sure what to expect. Check in was easy and speedy. The room appeared on the small side and the bathroom design was a little strange in that on opening the door the toilet was not visible, but behind the open door. No issues with it though. It was very busy but the staff worked hard to keep fresh food coming out and keep tables clean. Overall, very good for an overnight stop. Beware the "Bumblebee" - the Vintage Inn next door. Filthy dirty. Rude, lazy staff. Food - cold, horrible.

The holiday inn express Cheltenham central is located in the new brewery district, an area that was formerly a little tired and certainly not the glamorous end of town. The brewery development is changing that with new hotels still being built, a multiplex cinema, micro brewery and a selection of restaurants including many of the chains such as nandos.
