Stayed last night in a single room. Reasonable size comfy and clean. Good fitness centre and pool area. Breakfast not worth the extra money with blast cooked sausage / bacon over cooked on one side and undercooked on the other. Lukewarm beans and bitter orange juice. Fruit and mushrooms not replenished quick enough or maybe I was just unlucky. In short get a deal on the room and get breakfast elsewhere.

A charming hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff are friendly and the premium room is certainly worth the upgrade cost. No air con though but they do supply a fan. Resteraunt was ok for dinner but breakfast was lovely. There is a pub next door that was nice so if you don't fancy the hotel food, you can always take a short stroll to the pub instead.

The most frustrating part of a business trip to a hotel that advertises free wifi is when the signal does not reach your room. In a location with poor mobile phone signal you would think some effort would have been taken to resolve the issue but unfortunately not. Staff were good in the bar but I would not recommend the food as it is very average for the price you pay. You are far better off going to a local pub who are not looking to take advantage of their guests. Unfortunately it was not the ... Read more

I Just stayed one night, the staff were very friendly and service was good, the spa, gym and facilities are great as is the setting on the lake, the room was large, clean and comfortable, breakfast is buffet, with a good selection of cold and hot food. check out was painful ! as there was about 8 people waiting to checkout and only one girl serving, took over 15 minutes

The hotel itself is all round poor .. the only good parts were the brilliant treatments in the limited spa and the bar & lounge was very well served .. the food there was 10 times better than the restaurant .. the bar staff were pleasant & helpful .. polite & courteous .. only exception was to be able to hear wages & contracts being discussed by a rather loud 'boss' .. surely an office in private would be better .. The prices in the bar are extortionate .. be prepared .. My single room was tir... Read more

I attended with friends for a spa weekend. The room was nice and clean on arrival although we were not able to access the rooms prior to entering the spa. We were told to goto the spa and ask for our gowns there as ours were in the rooms. At the spa they struggled to find any gowns and we were all given creased hard gowns which were pulled out of a black bag. We went into the spa with an average pool and small jacuzzi. The four loungers were dirty and not pleasant to sit on. The whole area was i... Read more

Booked a bank holiday weekend break in the spa town of Cheltenham. The Cheltenham Park Hotel is set in Charlton Kings on the South East outskirts of Cheltenham. The booking process was almost disastrous. It took two emails and three phone calls to make the booking. When we arrived, it was apparent that they had mucked up our spa treatments. The front desk appeared disinterested so we had to attend to the corrections ourselves. The room was well prepared with bathrobes, slippers and chocolates. ... Read more

Found the hotel to be spotlessly clean, helpful staff and a great location. Even though the hotel was very busy there was plenty of space for everybody, one slight criticism breakfast time was a bit disorganized, had to wait a while for cups and saucers, apart from that absolutely perfect.

There was no bath robs, water etc. We had to call the reception & tell them. Also we ordered the Daily Mail which we did no receive. We booked a 2 night package that included an evening meal on one night. The welcome from staff was friendly, there appeared to be plenty of parking available. Room was OK, the hotel took note of our request to be close to the restaurant. Room had sufficient space, shower worked as expected. Evening meal was good, plenty of choice though several options had an additional cost. Perhaps a few more options without the supplement would be better. My husband and I had booked this hotel with a Groupon deal. It included 2 nights, one nights dinner with wine and a choice of beauty treatment. We upgraded to have a premium room, which included bathrobes, water and truffles. Having spent 5 hours getting to Cheltenham, upon arrival the lobby was packed full with tourists all waiting to be processed. I don't think there were enough staff behind the desk - there was ONE girl dealing with upwards of 50 people all queuing to check in - very, very frustrating and not a great start. This place looks pretty; next to a little stream; wooded grounds; imposing frontage. Entrance Hall/Reception was very large country house and marble-y. Lovely Receptionist told us all we needed to know - including where to find the Health Spa at which we had pre-booked a massage session for that early evening. This hotel was great for what we were looking for. They allowed us and our two dogs to stay for the weekend. The room was clean and tidy and the view of the pond was nice. The included breakfast buffet was very good and the service was nice. The Cheltenham Park Hotel is a nice old grand hotel, located on the outskirts of Chelthenham and within 30 minute drive to surrounding towns and attractions.
