Premier inn gets it right most of the time, always well located near a train station and within walking distance to the town centre. The rooms are comfy, although they could put an arm chair in each room to add to comfort. On entry the staff were quite friendly, but the breakfast staff could be a bit more customer friendly. Overall I would always use Premier Inn.

About 20 minutes walk from the central station and very close to the shopping centre and plenty of restaurants. A good view (10 floors) and typically comfortable rooms. An iron is available if you ring reception although the board was a bit lumpy. Free wifi was fine if a little slow. Breakfast was fine (£9 per adult, free for kids). There is a bar & restaurant but we didn't use this. £110 for 2 nights was decent value for Cardiff.

Upon arrival we weren't greeted by any members of staff; they were too busy seeing to a group of other guests. So we made our way to the self-check in booths, which in fairness were easy to use. We made our way to the room which was spacious; the bathroom was clean, the bed was comfy and there was also a spare bed in the room. The view is fantastic; but it's a shame we were overlooking the opposite flats and not an eagle eye view of the city, but overall, it was okay! :)

Well positioned for shopping, restaurants and bars. Train station just over the road, handy for the main station or to go to Cardiff Bay. Friendly staff everywhere. Nice bar area and restaurant, although we didn't eat in the restaurant the food looked good. There is a lot of room to sit and have a Costa coffee in reception area or the bar area. Had a 2 week stay here while working locally and the hotel is up to date and spacious. It's very well maintained, in an excellent central position and offers all the usual premier inn perks. Large in house bar and food. Within short walking distance of many local attractions. Possibly the largest room I've ever had at a premier inn. Only down why have such a tiny tv ?

Stayed overnight with friends after night out. Very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel as it is perfectly situated in the city to be able to eat out. There is no car park at the hotel but there are plenty around. I didn't use the restaurant or bar so can't comment on them. I'd certainly stay here again. We had good impressions of the hotel all around with mixed impressions of the City of CARDIFF itself.. Once at the hotel --after an unnecessarily complicated walk from Cardiff Central train station --we were quite pleased with the lodgings. The walk from the Central Train station should only be 10 to 15 minutes on foot (a fairly direct cross-town route of east to west), but computer map services were routing us through closed shopping malls and closed arcades that looked like traditional roads...
