We're not disappointed, we went for a 3 night golf break(2 couples). Hotel rooms were small, cosy, very clean and comfy. Plenty of hot water, big beds. Golf course had lovely holes and a hidden valley near a church in good condition, a dry course given the weather so far. Breakfast was buffet style, not a huge choice if you don't want cooked breakfast. At times there was a wait for food trays to be replenished (eggs or sausages ) , only one waitress Kelly who was very busy but friendly and was ... Read more

My wife and I have just returned from a much needed break at this location. To say that it was just the tonic we needed would be the correct description. From the initial reception to leaving we were looked after very well.Room was comfortable and clean and the bed was the highlight.Unfortunately the let down was the size of the TV but that did not matter. The food in the restaraunts was great and pleeeeese do not miss the breakfast. We will return.

Group of 18 couples for golfing break enjoyed the course, accommodation and friendly welcome. Good bar to talk over the ifs and how it should have been. And every shot seemed much better by the end of the night! Well worth revisiting. A mixture of some challenging holes and some long with water to keep you focused and interested. Very well maintained and in a peaceful setting. Tested low and high handicappers so something for everyone.

My wife and I stayed in May 2016 and we cannot fault the experience. The staff were very friendly, nice large room. The room was spotless. Great breakfast and the evening meal was excellent and good value. I cannot think of anything that would improve the experience. Although I do not play golf I could see it was a popular spot with locals and non locals alike. Thank you.

This hotel rates amongst the best I have ever visited. The staff are friendly but efficient as nothing is too much trouble for them. My room was sparklingly clean and had a balcony overlooking the course had seats and a table to allow you to take in the view. The food was excellent with a wide choice on the menu plus a specials board, and the breakfast buffet has everything you could ask for. The price of the food and beverages was very reasonable. The golf course is spectacular and interesting... Read more

Stayed here recently and the service and quality of evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was not quite so good but overall the stay was excellent value for money.Room was on the small side but the view made up for that

This is a excellent hotel with attached golf course. Despite the recent bad weather the golf course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was good (just over 3 hours). The hotel room was a good size and was comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent, although breakfast was a little disorganised.

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights just to get away. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food very good, large portions, breakfast very good. Great location, great for golf and for sight seeing. Hotel needs a bit of modernisation but rooms very clean. No air conditioning so rooms very hot. Well worth a visit. Great value for money.

Come here most Sunday's for a roast and it's brilliant! The meats are always cooked well and of a good quality. Plenty of veg to choose from. Very good service. Only quibble is that the parsnips are always hard and undercooked! Good price. The evening meals are also very good! Cottage pie being one of my favourites! Very good steak as well!

We stayed here for two nights end of June 2016. We had a lovely stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable and about £75 bed and breakfast. Evening meals were available in the bar or in the restaurant. We had a huge family room just for the two of us. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet which was lovely. Would recommend this hotel as a great bargain for the price we paid which included breakfast.

Me and the Wife had a night in the hotel and a round of golf and it was superb, helpful staff on arrival, lovely spacious room, comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast. The golf course was in top condition too. Will definitely be returning to this venue....

We got an amazing deal in a superior room with balcony overlooking the golf course. The "huge" bed was so comfortable and everything so very clean, bathroom a little tired but spotless. Great breakfast too!

A friendly Hotel / Golf club house, very clean and tidy, staff are very polite and helpful. Very nice food served both in the restaurant and bar meals, generous portions, the breakfast is fantastic with local produce used. The bar area is very clean, with a good selection of beers which are well looked after. The rooms are clean and comfortable, I have stayed here on several occasions and always have had a good experience, will be back again soon

This hotel was going to be a surprise for my wife top 100 golf course and hotel. Course was very very good but the hotel was let down with the rooms. Long thin room very basic and a smallest TV up one end need a telescope to see it. Curtains were too small and let all the morning light in. Try to do something nice and was let down. For a hotel of this class they must spend a little money. Reading other reviews we must have had a bum deal because we don't play golf.

Super-friendly, efficient & excellent customer service in the restaurant and at reception. We had a lovely room. It's a shame that the restaurant is completely devoid of atmosphere, in the bland, canteen style of so many golf hotels. Bowood Park Hotel deserves a better restaurant than this, in keeping with the lovely location and views.

We stayed here at Easter this year, and decided to book a weeks holiday in July, as I had a birthday to celebrate and our son who lives in Cornwall was 40 years old the day after. The hotel staff were amazing. They made our son's special 40th birthday night, a very memorable one, and one, none of us will forget. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere electric, and everyone that looked after us, were 1st class. I would love to mention a few members of staff, who made our week feel like h... Read more

We visited on a Sunday afternoon as a stop over on our way to our main holiday destination in St Ives. The checkin was smooth with a really lovely welcome from the gent on reception. We got to our rooms and yes we thought it was a bit tired looking but it was clean, beds extremely comfortable after a really long day travelling from Manchester. We had dinner in the bar area and were offered to switch to the quieter restaurant area if the bar got too noisy for us. The staff were very apologetic... Read more

Stayed here at the weekend for golf over 2 days. Golf course is really good and presented very nicely. The accommodation and food is excellent value, breakfast could perhaps be better quality but overall an excellent stay.
