Everything as it should be, clean, functional, friendly staff, perfectly acceptable for a short business stay as it is near the railway station. That said the area is totally soulless, packed with roundabouts and office blocks and not somewhere I would pick for leisure. I would head closer to the water where there is a little more atmosphere. It was about a 15 minute walk to find any buzz, we liked the area around the Bristol Old Vic where there were some waterside restaurants (the 3 Burger B... Read more

Nice welcome on arrival, friendly staff, lovely room. Walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads (if traveling by train) and an easy walk to Bristol city centre. Also has parking under the hotel which was ideal. Great breakfast too! Will most definitely stay again.

This was a very last minute one night break for me and the wife, hadn't planned it just booked it on the Accor website. The room was comfortable, bed to die for and the staff and food first rate. Other than having to pay for parking it was a really nice hotel.

Good value business hotel with modern, functional feel. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, free wifi. Bathroom was compact and a bit dated, could use a refresh there to match the rest of the room. Generally a very nice stay with all amenities you expect from a large chain hotel at a reasonable price. Easy walk from the station, 15 minutes walk or so into central Bristol. Area is mainly office parks, not much to do, but also quieter at night as a result. There are some small convenience shops near... Read more

Well situated for city centre nights out, for those visiting from elsewhere. Very clean and tidy, well decorated and maintained. We received excellent service throughout our stay. This hotel tends to attract more of a business/stag/hen type of clientele, but at no point did we experience any unwanted noise or disruptions.

...u get Novotel. Nothing less, nothing more. One night staying, booked a Queen Room (very small tho), which happened to be extremely warm upon my arrival. This should be supposed to be a larger room compared to a Standard, but, nevertheless, I felt like 'squeezed' in. Pretty small compared to other Novotel where I stayed sometimes in other countries. Crew is cool: gentle and helpful. Breakfast: nothing to write home about. Cleanliness: ok (found a couple of hairs in the bathroom, tho). Nothing... Read more

I have stayed in Novotel quiet a few time and have always enjoyed my stay here. Services, attention to detail and hospitality is top notch. Always found reception available and there to help with any queries. Special thanks to Lisa and team for always making my stay enjoyable. Hotel is very central and within walking distance to all major attractions and transport links.

We won a stay at this hotel from a local radio competition in Birmingham. We only stayed one night and it was just fine. We asked the Receptionist for a quiet room at the end of the corridor which was perfect. We heard no noise at all. I asked the Chambermaid if I could swop caffeine free coffee sachets for normal, and she was more than happy. The staff were really nice and friendly. Breakfast was a bit hectic but that was because there were families with children there, The staff kept the... Read more

It's always hard to find fault with Novatel, the locations are always very close to many of the cities main attractions and the value for money is incredibly hard to beat. With this particular Novatel I once again find myself very happy, the room was clean and ready, the reception staff were helpful and knowledgeable and the food was of a particular high standard. I will continue to use Novatel for the forseable future as i have found true value for money.

This is a very nice, clean and modern hotel. The rooms are very big with a good ensuite. The staff were friendly and helpful. It has all the amenities you could need including air conditioning which is useful at this time of year. The bar area is lovely and you can even control the music. The prices are what you would expect in a hotel of this standard and were very nice. Stayed here during late April, I paid £90 for the room at 4pm and had to leave within the hour through poor health, I explained at the front desk the reasons why I had to check out so soon ". The young girl on reception was quite understanding and could clearly see me looking a bit peaky to put it mildly ,I asked her if I could perhaps use the room on a different date which I thought was a reasonable request, she asked a manager who was metres away working on a table behind his laptop. From parking in the secure car-park, to the welcome at Reception by Andreas all staff were friendly, polite and having excellent customer service attitude. Room light and bright with window overlooking the front of the hotel with very effective double-glazing. Bed very comfortable, a surprise to have biscuits with the complimentary tea/coffee facilities and good TV. Breakfast more than adequate with again very pleasant staff/waiting staff Overall very good and certainly would stay again

I booked primarily for the location, and the hotel was actually very nice. Check-in was quick and efficient. The rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed. A colleague and I went to the bar for a coffee and an informal business meeting late in the afternoon and the staff were very accomodating. The meal in the evening was just a burger and a pint (special offer during Euro 2016) and was very good. Breakfast was excellent with a very good selection. I was very pleased with my stay.

We booked this hotel as it was close to the city, check in and the room were fine and we had no noise problems. Drinks prices were what you expect in a hotel, we didn't eat in so cannot comment on the food. My only gripe is paying for parking when you have already paid a high price for the accommodation but would stay again.

Stayed at the Novotel 23 June to 28 June. Located a convenient and easy 10 minute walk from the Bristol Meads Railway Station and 10 minute walk to the centre of Bristol. The hotel is on a bus route and close to eateries and supermarkets. I found the hotel staff very obliging. Had good computer reception. The rooms were quiet even though the hotel is located on one of the main roads into and out of Bristol. I had the buffet breakfast and the buffet selection was good. I like my eggs poached and ... A weekend family event in the summer. Parking easy but very expensive and the spacing a mean anything but a mini and you risk door damage. Rooms clean and comfortable without any real comfort. The water in the room is an expensive price even for hotels. The bar very expensive, restaurant more a canteen than where a nice meal. What is annoying is that the breakfast is a fortune if not booked in advanced. Even for London prices this is a rip off. On top of that £230 for a basic room in the sum... Read more

Breakfast was great (order the porridge it is worth it). Only down side was the bar meal wasn't great for the price paid. Eat out though and this is a very good hotel!

Second time we've stayed at this hotel, bedrooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Hotel is conveniently located, the harbourside, Cabot circus and the train station are within 10-15 mins walk. Breakfast choice is great, only downside is food wasn't replenished quickly enough so was unable to get all the items we wanted in one go for the full English breakfast.

Just spent 3 days at this hotel last week and can't say enough about its location and good value. Hotels to me is all about a good night sleep. No matter the posh reception area if you don't sleep! Here I had both, posh good looking reception area and a good night sleep. What else could I ask for? Room well decorated, with coffee and tea available, nice shower and an overall good stay. Well impressed and willing to return soon. Gym offered as standard.

This hotel is fine if the location suits you, its just quite ordinary. Its near Bristol city centre on a busy road so a bit noisy at night. The room was quite large and had all you needed including a safe, tea tray and extra pillows but it did seem a bit bland. The bathroom was tiny but had a decent size walk-in shower. Breakfast is cheaper if you book the day before rather than decide on the morning. As you would expect its all self-service but it was quite chaotic with things running out ... Read more
