The Holland House hotel is about a ten minute walk from most of the Bristol night life, The Hotel rooms were more than adequate with comfortable beds, the one drawback was the buffet meal (could have been a bit more adventurous) though the breakfast more than made up for it (apart from the tea), overall not a bad place to stay

Easy parking, ample space. Very large and well-appointed room with a king sized bed. Super breakfast, hot, with plenty of choice. Well located, just short walk across the river to the city centre. Lovely staff, smiling and helpful. Would certainly love to visit again!

Stayed here on business with a group of colleagues. Rooms are lovely and a nice size. As usual air con took a while to suss out a good room temperature but worked out fine. Hotel in good location for city, restaurants, pubs etc lots of choice. The breakfast very nice, plus you could order hot things off menu all included in price. Even eggs royale, which I had and very nice. Lots of choice on the breakfast buffet too. Also has a lovely, pool, gym & spa. Staff very friendly and service good. ... Read more

Great stay and spa treatment. Dee and Georgina who carried out our treatments where very friendly and professsional we both felt so relaxed after wards, we very much like that you can relax before and after wards in the relaxation lounge with complementary drinks. Our room was clean and spacious. We could of done with more tea coffee and buscuits in the room. Our evening meal was great as always, as this was our 5th stay here.

We were a party of 13, staying 2 nights, booked into 5 rooms in this large hotel centrally located within 10 mins walk of the main shops, bars, restaurants and night clubs. Undoubtedly the staff from top to bottom are the major plus for the hotel, well trained, courteous, with a nothing is too much trouble attitude. The rooms were clean, modern, with comfortable beds. Everyone in our party found plenty to their liking from the buffet breakfast buffet, and we were well catered for on my wife's c... Read more

The hotel from outside looks pretty run down but the inside has a modern feel. The check-in process was easy and the staff were polite and friendly. Room was spacious and had everything that you would expect from a budget hotel, the bed was comfortable and had a large shower. Dinner wasn't fantastic but it was edible, the Thai Green Curry was slight watery and you got little rice. Breakfast was standard, hot and cold buffet style. I would stay again.

The look from the outside and surrounding area was not the best but the staff and inside were very pleasant. Booked a couples together wknd that included evening meal a treatment and breakfast, great value, the hotel is no more than 10 minutes walk to bars and restaurants, pre-booked treatment prior to arrival, (recommended) if they ask in the spa reception if you want to wear a gown before you go up don't do it!!! you look a right tool in the "relaxation room" that could resemble an airport dep... I booked the Mercure because it had a car park and I needed parking. I knew there was a cost attached to this parking and I was happy to pay that cost. However, on arrival I was hit with a major problem - there were no spaces in the car park, no spaces in ANY nearby public car park, nothing down the side streets and not even anywhere to stop in front of the hotel and unload the car. At 8 months pregnant on a dark winter evening, with a small child and heavy luggage in the car, the best the staff... Read more

My daughter booked for us to stay one night and have a little pre-christmas relaxation. The hotel is not that attractive from outside but as soon as you enter you are pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel spotless and comfortable, our room was large and clean. We booked a treatment for the following day within an hour of arriving. We hadn't included breakfast in our booking as it was around £16 each online, however, when booking in, we were offered it for £10 each, ... Read more
