We booked online, really based on location. It's just off the m32 and still a reasonable drive distance into Bristol. The price was good value for a family room, which was nicely set up with a settee bed and double bed. The bathroom was spacious and clean with nice deep bath and toiletries. As soon as we arrived the children loved it. It is spacious and modern and clean. There is even a little bridge inside with fish swimming underneath. And a nice garden with play area. Drinks and fruit are ava... Read more

This is our second visit here within the last 9 months. Very nice hotel, very clean and the staff members are friendly and helpful. They had a wide range of food for breakfast and although the bacon and sausages were a little bland I couldn't fault any thing else. We will definitely stay here again when we are next visiting our daughter.

When we arrived early to check in, we were asked if we would like to join the points club which then enabled a free upgrade to an executive suite, 2 free bottles of water and free usage of the hotel gym! We also were given a later check out time for the following day which we didn't need but was a fab extra bonus. Room was lovely and clean, had a great nights sleep after a busy day around Bristol and the staff that checked us in and out were wonderful. Couldn't fault our stay at all.

This hotel was a nightmare to find if you are not coming straight off the motorway. We were travelling from Bath direction and the sat nav directed us to a spot miles away from the hotel which is sited on a very long road (and no number given in the address and no proper directions). We finally stopped at the Premier Inn (which was easy to spot) and used their wifi and kind staff to direct us to where we wanted to go. We ended up wishing we had checked in there The room was average but the bed ... Read more

Ideal location to access transport routes to the rest of the UK. Rooms, sporting and dining facilities provide good value for money. If you want to dine out there is a small Retail Park within walking distance, or a short train journey/drive will take you into the city itself.

Wow! This was not my father's Holiday Inn. Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, welcoming function space, delicious breakfast included (seriously, one of the best ever.) Almost everything about this hotel was first rate. The only exception (as it seems to be in EVERY hotel) is the wifi. International visitors rely heavily upon dependable internet access. Executive level rooms are meant to come with a premium wifi, and no one ever seems to want to grant tr... Read more

Not a particularly pleasant stay for business purposes. Threadbare carpets on the stairs. Room was basic and hot and the air conditioning didn't appear to make much difference. With the window open it was very noisy, but too warm to sleep with it closed. I went to the gym for the two nights I was there, its very very small, with machines cramped against each other. Again very hot and smelt particularly unpleasant. Breakfast staff were polite, but I queued both mornings to be seated.

Our twin room was a good standard. We booked the stopover rate for 1 night as we were attending an event locally. This was good value for money as breakfast was included. We used the sauna & pool which although small were not too busy in the evening. We also ate at Sampans and found the food excellent but beware of over-ordering the portions are very generous, go easy on the starters if you want to make it to dessert - we didn't!

Excellent value for money, polite and friendly staff, convenient, clean and a tasty and varied breakfast, what more could you want! If I were to criticise I would say our evening meal was slightly too expensive and the service was initially rather slow. The meal was well presented and of good quality though.

Service was excellent, breakfast was brilliant only slightly disappointed with no bacon on the breakfast menu- have stayed there several times and never disappointed. Hoping to stay there again end of July. Car was parked directly outside hotel which is a bonus. Last year when it was my birthday the hotel even smuggled my son and his family into room in the hotel so that we had no idea they were there. They go that extra bit to make sure that your stay is comfortable and at a fair price

Booked this hotel to meet up with family. Its in an ideal location just off the M32, only a short drive into Bristol, but far enough away for the peaceful surroundings. The front desk were as ever friendly and efficient, markedly better than a few other hotels in the area I have used in the last 12 months. The room was quiet, and the aircon did the trick. They charge for wifi, unless you are a member (which I am), but because I hadn't got my card, there was a real performance, while they tried to verify & give me my precious free wifi!! Stayed here in first week of September as was visiting friends in Bristol. Hotel has plenty of parking space , great grounds with lots of green trees and grass. There is a play area for kids on the grounds . The staff were very nice and friendly from the reception staff to the breakfast team. Didn't have time to us the swimming pool and Sauna as was only staying one night. However the rooms were cosy with new deco in the Executive rooms which all of us were upgraded to on arrival . Second time I have stayed here , it is by far the best Holiday Inn I have stayed in . We used it to break up the journey from hell which is trying to get to Cornwall in less than 10 hours from London in August. Room clean and able with a excellent view of the grounds. Seating/Bar area is spacious and clean and the friendly staff made sure I could watch my football team on one of the TV's in my own little area so as not to put anyone else through my own personal torture. This sort of friendliness... Read more

Myself and my family stayed here on the way back from one of our many visits to Cornwall. We arrived late and from the outside I thought the Check in was really easy an friendly. We had a standard room which was very clean with a comfortable bed. My only problem was that the room was quite small and on our next visit I would book a larger room. Breakfast was good and the staff were excellent at sorting out food for one of our party who has several food intolerances .

The hotel itself needs re decorating , it's tired, the pictures are far better than the actual place, the executive rooms are very basic with a chair! The bathrooms are tired and scruffy. We ate at the sampans restraurant and we ordered the Peking duck to start which was ok but the duck was way too dry, then I ordered chicken and chilli on Asian herbs , in reality what I got was very dry chicken in soy soup with peppers mushrooms and onions! The hotel is quite basic and certainly not luxury however the rooms are clean, you have everything you need and the staff are helpful. Convenient for business however probably not somewhere I'd choose to stay for a personal trip- not a convenient location from Bristol city centre and not a lot around the hotel. The food is good but service can be a bit slow when the restaurant gets busy. Breakfast was excellent.

This is not the best Holiday Inn you could ever visit. It is a little soulless and lacking in atmosphere. Check in was slow , check out was lacking in interaction. The evening meal was only average , Calamari...deep fried, greasy and not hot served on an ultimately naf piece of slate!!!! Main course was fine, prices fine. Breakfast buffet style and nothing to say.....just food. The dining area really does need breaking up into sections to give it all a smaller feel rather than a half acre of... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for a relaxing weekend with a few drinks. The staff are extremely friendly especially the front desk staff. The hotel was fully booked and that weekend a festival was going ahead close by, we were worried of the noise from the rooms but didn't hear anything. Not sure if that's LUCK or the rooms are just quiet. Cannot comment on the food, didn't eat in the hotel but we had a few beers with snack while watching the footy. Executive room -all in VG order. Well equipped , met expectations. However when arriving for breakfast the staff appeared to be having difficulty in coping with a very busy dining room. No milk or bowls for cereals with quite a lengthy wait for them to be replenished. Bread ran out and not replaced along with having to wait for some " full English breakfast" ingredients to be replaced. What would have been a very good breakfast spoiled because of the wait.

I have been at the Holiday Inn now for two and a half weeks, found the place to be at a very high standard. the staff to be very approachable and offer all round very good experience. I think one of the highlights of my stay in the breakfast the morning staff are very very nice and very approachable and make you feel very welcome one in particular called Poppy. I think it's probably one of the best selections and nicest breakfast that I've had in a long time but do not tell my mother
