Stayed here for two nights recently and will certainly return. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, the breakfasts were excellent, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our stay was enlivened by a fire alarm and smoke in the corridor when another guest decided to light up in a non-smoking room, but even that was dealt with efficiently and charmingly by the staff. The location, directly opposite Temple Meads Station, is absolutely faultless, and although we were afrai... Read more

We had a three night break in the Holiday Inn Express Temple Meads arriving Thursday until Sunday as a couple. We booked the basic room and the location was just great. It was 2 minutes‚?? walk from Bristol‚??s main train station (just across the road) which also has a convenient Stop for the Airport Bus. There is a bus stop less than 50 metres from the hotel at the adjacent pub which has access to regular, inexpensive services to Bristol and surrounding areas. It took us 11-12 minutes to saunt... My wife and I stayed for one night on 15th May 2016 as we were going to the Bristol Hippodrome to see a show. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the harbour side and theatre and is also close to Cabot Circus. Our room was clean and warm and had coffee, tea, kettle, iron, ironing board, TV, telephone and a comfortable bed. There is also a large bathroom and a walk in shower. We paid £45 for the one night bed and breakfast as well as an extra £12 to use the hotel's secure car park. There was ... Read more

We were in Bristol to visit family for a couple of days. We had a very clean and comfortable 6th floor double room. The hotel is not far from the centre of town and from Bedminster, where our family lives. Good views over the picturesque Temple Meads Station! Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Wifi reliable and free. Would recommend as a very good place to stay in Bristol.

This hotel served a purpose but we would have wanted to spend much time here. The staff were friendly but we had problems with our cold water running hot which was never resolved. The room was comfy enough and wasn't any late night noise. The breakfast was standard holiday inn fare.

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. A tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Close proximity to Temple Meads train and bus station. Only 10 minutes on train to Bath. One minor downside is the beds are small and the air conditioner is above the bed so the blast of air can be very cold.

Used this hotel for stay over. The room was large, clean and had everything I needed except a working iron. Bar was well priced and a please tell place to be. Breakfast choice was good only let down by the English option. Surely a bit if bacon isn't much to ask for. A good 8/10.

We booked this as we were meeting someone arriving at Temple Meads in the evening. First impression was good - the rooms were as we had requested, adjacent and at the back of the hotel away from the road noise. The breakfast was very good - even hot food. There is some parking at the rear of the hotel.

Spent one night, we were given a room rear facing which I think took out a lots of the outside city noise. The room was bigger than I expected, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price which made it a much better deal. The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival which gave a great first impression. A good Base for a night out in Bristol. We had wanted to originally stay in Bath but as the hotels were too expensive there we chose this hotel for the convenient location. Indeed it was very convenient, just across the road from Bristol Temple Meads Station. The hotel is ideally located very close to bristol temple meads train station. The room is on the small size, but the bed was comfy enough. The room was clean but I think the bathroom is dated. Staff were polite and both the check in and out was done very swiftly. Breakfast at this hotel is continental but they do scrambled egg and sausages as hot items. Wifi is also included.

I usually avoid these HIE properties because they usually make you go to reception to get an ironing board. Thankfully they've ditched that policy so I had a decent time. Always happy to get a free drink at holiday inn's so I can't complain at that. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet, and had a nice view over bristol. This is much like other Holiday Inn Expresses: functional but not great. Like all of the others, the breakfast may be 'free' but it's pretty poor, unless you like beans, sausage and dry grey scrambled egg. The parking at this place is also a real nuisance. You have to park by the hotel, check in, get a ticket and code, and then re-park in a fairly grotty multi-storey at the back. If you are travelling by train, though, it's really convenient as it's right opposite Bristol Temple Meads station.

Booked hotel as close to Thekla club. Hotel is on main road, and was very noisy, so didn't sleep very well, felt like the window was open. Booking site said hotel had 20 free spaces, 1st come etc. Was not offered this option, was told had to pay £12 to pack in adjacent ncp car park, but there were limited spaces, and when we went there, couldn't park due to no room being available. We had to pay to park elsewhere so BEWARE. The hotel did have ONE DISABLED PARKING BAY, which was taken. The breakf... Read more

Pretty much as other Holiday Express hotels, there are better hotels for less money, nearer the town, breakfast included but pretty basic, car park not as easy as others, overall ok. Last resort hotel for me.

We normally stay here if we visit Bristol since you can leave your car locked up in a secure car park at the hotel. The car park is chargeable at the hotel desk. Takes about 30 minutes to walk into the City or dock area.

The hotel is fine, as is the location. Staff are very good, it's just the parking arrangement, it's such a pain. You need to park up round the back, then get an access code, then go back to your car, then go through the gates, and then grad your case through the gates, and get buzzed in! Not ideal, maybe a better was in the future to assist travellers!

Situated 100yds from the main station in Bristol the location couldn't be better. The hotel is better than many HI EX press Inns. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even at the front on a busy road it was a very quiet room. BUT my biggest gripe with Holiday Inns is the lighting in the room....never bright enough. also breakfasts. ....can't anyone teach them how to scramble eggs properly...even on a mass scale. They were awful. Also offered a room where the sof a had been made into a bed...even th... Read more

We chose this hotel because one of us has mobility problems and it was directly opposite the railway station in Bristol. There was also lift access to the reception area, avoiding a short flight of steps. The road between the hotel and the railway station is very noisy (the main route for ambulances with sirens and lights on their way to the local hospital), so try to get a room at the slightly less noisy back of the hotel. Unfortunately, the toilet in our room was broken and wouldn't flush. A ... Read more

Between the budget to mid-range hotel this is excellently situated close to the mainline station and harbour. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff helpful, and effecient and the the included in the price breakfast is of a good standard. Unless you are looking for a higher end hotel the Holiday Inn Express is very good value

My other half and I stayed here for one evening, we had a night out planned and so it's ideally across the road from the train station. The location is very good and the hotel was standard holiday inn. It was clean, the pillows were comfy, the bathroom was clean. The staff were extremely helpful and really nice and our stay was very pleasant. Thanks for a nice eve.

The hotel is just outside Bristol Temple Meads station, about a 4-5 min walk. It is not exactly a new property but it is well maintained and refurbished. Decent size room, got twin beds instead of preferred double. Comfortable, well heated room so no complaints there. Breakfast was the usual as well. The hotel is within walking distance of some nice restaurants around the quays, so step out to explore. My only complaint was the lack of any pressure on the shower.

I always travel late in the day when on business so staying at the hotel literally 2 minutes from Temple Meads was ideal. All of the city centre is pretty much accessible within a 10 minute walk. The continental breakfast is also good and included in the price

Excellent location, opposite the road from the train station and a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Clean rooms and comfortable beds! Strange noises in rooms though (pipes?), if you're a light sleeper.

I chose to stay here for one night on business as I could not get a room at the Hilton within my expense budget. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with my choice. I rang the hotel prior to driving to check how to access the car park. There's a narrow street off the main road that's easy to miss. You need to park at the rear, check in and you will be given the code to the secure parking area. Park the car and then head to your room. I bit tedious but good to know the car is safe. I left it t... Read more

Basic, but good enough for a night before a flight. Close to the city and the train station. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is adequate. Walking distance (10 min) to the main attractions. Compared to others, good value for money.

Stayed here for a catch up with a friend. It's only a couple of minutes walk from Temple Meads station. The twin room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was busy (it's served in the small lobby area) but there was the usual choice of pastries, fruit, cereal and some hot choices. Staff are friendly. It's a decent place to stay if you don't want to spend too much and want to be walking distance of the station, old town and harbourside.

flew into Bristol airport and caught the very frequent coach service into central Bristol. the stop for Temple Meads railway station is 200 yards from the Holiday Inn. the hotel is also about half a mile from the main shopping precincts and also the river walks and amenities. well placed indeed. A regular bus service runs past the front door to all areas of the city and surrounding places of interest including the city tour bus that also goes to the docks and "bridge". my room was excellent and ... Being in the cenr - just opposite Temple Meads railway station - there is a lot of traffic noise - even my room at the back on 6th floor was not quiet - but the location is great and rooms comfortable - goop shower/TV and firm large bed. Staff efficient and helpful - I had to ask for very loud music in the breafast room to be turned down and they obliged without issue. Breakfast basic but filling and the coffeee is good.

Travelled by train, and after a 5 hour journey was very pleased to see the hotel right opposite the station, very quick check in pleasant helpful smiley staff and into my room. Nice bight room, very clean, with the most comfortable bed and quilt. Tea making facilities, and a nice modern bathroom. The breakfast was very tasty and filling, just what you need to start a day off. We'll placed to visit the harbour and shopping ce... Read more
