Stayed here for two nights recently and will certainly return. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, the breakfasts were excellent, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our stay was enlivened by a fire alarm and smoke in the corridor when another guest decided to light up in a non-smoking room, but even that was dealt with efficiently and charmingly by the staff. The location, directly opposite Temple Meads Station, is absolutely faultless, and although we were afrai... Read more

We had a three night break in the Holiday Inn Express Temple Meads arriving Thursday until Sunday as a couple. We booked the basic room and the location was just great. It was 2 minutes‚?? walk from Bristol‚??s main train station (just across the road) which also has a convenient Stop for the Airport Bus. There is a bus stop less than 50 metres from the hotel at the adjacent pub which has access to regular, inexpensive services to Bristol and surrounding areas. It took us 11-12 minutes to saunt... My wife and I stayed for one night on 15th May 2016 as we were going to the Bristol Hippodrome to see a show. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the harbour side and theatre and is also close to Cabot Circus. Our room was clean and warm and had coffee, tea, kettle, iron, ironing board, TV, telephone and a comfortable bed. There is also a large bathroom and a walk in shower. We paid £45 for the one night bed and breakfast as well as an extra £12 to use the hotel's secure car park. There was ... Read more

We were in Bristol to visit family for a couple of days. We had a very clean and comfortable 6th floor double room. The hotel is not far from the centre of town and from Bedminster, where our family lives. Good views over the picturesque Temple Meads Station! Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Wifi reliable and free. Would recommend as a very good place to stay in Bristol.

This hotel served a purpose but we would have wanted to spend much time here. The staff were friendly but we had problems with our cold water running hot which was never resolved. The room was comfy enough and wasn't any late night noise. The breakfast was standard holiday inn fare.

We stayed here for 2 nights, it is a hotel for proximity to the city Carparking is easy as well Breakfast was a bit crazy as it is a small area for the hotel its size, however we all managed to get fed There are some very nice restaurants in the city area, so the walk into town is very pleasant

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. A tasty breakfast with plenty of choice. Close proximity to Temple Meads train and bus station. Only 10 minutes on train to Bath. One minor downside is the beds are small and the air conditioner is above the bed so the blast of air can be very cold.

Used this hotel for stay over. The room was large, clean and had everything I needed except a working iron. Bar was well priced and a please tell place to be. Breakfast choice was good only let down by the English option. Surely a bit if bacon isn't much to ask for. A good 8/10.

A few of us stayed here and all the rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and friendly. This is not a 5* hotel and you don't expect much but the basics which are delivered well. Breakfast buffet not bad either, would happily stay here again.

We booked this as we were meeting someone arriving at Temple Meads in the evening. First impression was good - the rooms were as we had requested, adjacent and at the back of the hotel away from the road noise. The breakfast was very good - even hot food. There is some parking at the rear of the hotel.

Spent one night, we were given a room rear facing which I think took out a lots of the outside city noise. The room was bigger than I expected, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price which made it a much better deal. The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival which gave a great first impression. A good Base for a night out in Bristol. Will definitely stay again

Stayed here for just one night. Didn't spend much time in hotel so cannot say a lot. First rate location if you're arriving by train. Room was absolutely fine and was clean. Didn't rise early enough for breakfast so cannot comment. Has a bar which is a plus and staff were all really friendly.

We had wanted to originally stay in Bath but as the hotels were too expensive there we chose this hotel for the convenient location. Indeed it was very convenient, just across the road from Bristol Temple Meads Station. The room was very spacious which was good and even though the hotel was facing the main road, it didn't seem to be very noisy. There were also no noise outside in the corridor too. I would have preferred the lighting to be brighter as there were no ceiling lights. One other thi... Read more

An enjoyable sort 2 night business stay, the location was ideal just a short walk to our business venue. We were warmly greeted by a bubbly and humorous young Italian lady receptionist who enthusiastically booked us in , ( just the sort of person that a business wants front of house) she enquired what type of room l would like and I opted for a quite room (515) on the fifth floor, which suited me very well. The room was certainly adequate and was very clean and modern with a desk and plenty o... Read more

I stayed here for a couple a nights as I was attending a gig nearby. It was very difficult to find the car park - I was not provided with clear instructions prior to checking in. I ended up in a car park in Temple Mead station - which worked out a bit cheaper than the cost of the hotel car park and it was only a couple of minutes walk away. The welcome from the person on the desk was very warm, and I was given a useful map of the local area. The room itself was nothing special, but spotlessl... Read more

I checked into this hotel late on an evening after 7 hours travelling. Was greeted by a wonderfully friendly Emanual. Very friendly and helpful. Credit to the hotel. The room is well maintained and actually was not as noisey as expected. I slept well and I'm a "light sleeper". Rooms are a good size. Shower good. WiFi is good. It did everything I needed. The hotel is ideally located very close to bristol temple meads train station. The room is on the small size, but the bed was comfy enough. The room was clean but I think the bathroom is dated. Staff were polite and both the check in and out was done very swiftly. Breakfast at this hotel is continental but they do scrambled egg and sausages as hot items. Wifi is also included.

We were in Bristol on a short weekend break. The staff were very friendly and helpful in advising us on places to visit and transport options. The bed was very comfortable. This Hotel is located opposite Temple Mead station which is fantastic if you are making a trip across to Bath. The bus into the City Centre is also opposite the hotel. Would certainly be back when we visit Bristol again.

The Holiday Inn is straight across the road from Temple Meads Station so you have very easy access to trains , buses , taxis etc when you want to go somewhere of a considerable distance ! The streets are signed quite well so easy to walk 20 minutes to Cabot Circus for shopping or other attractions! Motel accommodation is very comfortable. Buffet breakfast offers a good choice of food! Whilst this could be considered a bland corporate offering, it was good to go somewhere where the presentation and decoration of the rooms was modern and in good condition, there was a working air con unit (no issues here with listed status) and the room was clean and tidy. Food was not quite as good as there was no evening meals and breakfast was adequate. I cannot comment on parking but it is extremely convenient for Bristol Temple Meads Station

Room and bathroom clean and air conditioned , not noisy even though on second floor above busy street (double glazing did its work). Car parking was £12 per day. Good value for a double room - paid around £80 per night. Only gripe was the grey and probably reconstituted muck that masqueraded as scrambled eggs , runny beans and low grade sausages that were offered as part of the complimentary breakfast!

Stayed at this hotel whilst attending Bristol University Open Day. The uni runs free buses from the station opposite and this was an ideal location, minutes away. We were able to leave our car in the car park over night and through until our early evening departure. This came as an extra cost but well worth it. The hotel was very good and breakfast was great, although not a massive selection of hot food. Clean, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Would recommend.

Stayed for one night only and the place was perfectly adequate if you just need somewhere to put your head down. Arrived at 10pm and left 12 hours later. HI Express properties vary according to factors such as - is it a new property? Is it a conversion? The franchise operating the hotel can influence the quality level. I would say this was at the better end of the scale based on stays at three other HI Express properties. It is well located if you need to be in this end of the city - its ... Read more
