This is the second time I've stayed here - both times for a conference. Duty manager couldn't have been more helpful when I had an urgent message to send, all staff very friendly and keen. Well fed (if not even overfed!) in the restaurant, and bar staff went out of their way to find my "misplaced" part-used bottle of wine. Happily changed my room when I requested not to look out to the rubbish area, and happily helped with bags in the lack of a lift. There are plenty of rooms on the ground fl... Read more

The room was quite run down in places and also had a damp smell when first walking in, i had to open the windows to let it air. I think that it is over priced and wouldn't advise anyone staying there. You could also hear what was going on in the corridor. Also i had to ring reception a few times before getting a answer. Wasn't impressed by this hotel at all.

Really had a lovely night here. Restaurant was excellent, the room was large, comfortable and quiet with extras including a robe and nice toiletries. Service at both reception and in the restaurant was professional, prompt and unobtrusive. I only stayed here as my original Holiday Inn booking could not be honoured but I shall stay here again and bring kit to use the leisure facilities next time.

We recently stayed at the Bristol Hilton and while it is not bad for a chain hotel, it really stretches the point to maintain it is 4 star accommodation. Positives first: It has a very convenient location if traveling the motorway and not staying in Bristol proper. The service was very polite, professional, and dedicated. The staff in both reception and in the fitness suite were helpful, and were willing to give that little extra on the service front. As noted there is a fitness suite and... Read more

The service in this Hilton is very good, although the check in took an age. Disappointing that even though I mentioned the WIFI cost in my last review, and plenty of other guests have complained about it, they have done nothing about it. I can get on a bus and get free WIFI so why are they still charging £12.99 per night at this Hotel. The parking is over priced at £5.00 per night as are the bar drinks. The room looked like a Hilton room, but the bed was uncomfortable with me able to feel each row of springs which also creaked. And it felt as tired as me. Attended a one day seminar at this hotel - the food was dreadful, the hot water flasks for tea on a table outside the seminar room both ran out mid afternoon, and in spite of registering my car details so I would not have to pay a car park charge, a week later I received a £60 parking charge notice for unauthorised parking. I have used many of the Hilton group hotels and always found then to be of a high standard. This one was no exception. However the rooms are slightly dated but clean and well maintained. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold choices although I have experienced a better range of pastries and hot food at other Hiltons. Service was good and staff polite and courteous.

This hotel is extortionately over priced and not worth the cost I recently paid. The online price did not clearly show or include the £11 breakfast per person and £5 parking each night. I would stay elsewhere as you would save so much money driving to the area

Stayed as part of an organised weekend tour break. When we arrived it can only be described as frantic as there was a wedding on and two coach loads of guests arriving including us. However, after a few minutes wait the express type checkin was up and running and we went to our room which was located on the ground floor. The room itself was ok and clean which was the main thing. Our evening meal was buffet style and again was ok but the desserts were good. Despite being on the ground floor we h... Read more

We stayed for one night at the Hilton Bristol recently. Our room was fine, well furnished and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and they were very good. Service from all the staff members we interacted with was fine. The hotel was busy but we still received very good service. My only reason for not giving a 5* rating is that the hotel decor in the public areas looks a little tired.

Not really a fan of Hilton, I think they are quite old fashioned and grubby in little parts. The staff are polite but you can tell they don't want to be. I certainly wouldn't have an event here. Nothing special in the slightest.

Stayed for a family weekend treat. It really is just a businessmen's hotel, stuck in a business park. Staff were helpful, but could not overcome a hotel that was poorly kept. Our room the extractor fan didn't work, the toilet didnt flush properly, the extra sofa bed was the most uncomfortable thing - it was better lying on the floor! Positives: - King size bed was very comfy and the room had a bath making our stay with a toddler very comfortable and practical. - Check in staff were very helpful, and gave our son a little pirate activity pack to keep him occupied. - Lounge area and bar facilities were very nice. - Overnight parking was fairly cheap compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Negatives - Room does not include WiFi, can only be used free of charge in the lounge. Although it didn't bother us as we were travell... Read more

We stayed at this hotel on 24-09-16 and this was my first booking withHilton hotels and this is my first bad review. We arrived and thankfully there was no queue as it took nearly 5 mins to process my reservation! We were then charged £5 to park overnight, this hotel was 10 miles outside the city centre! We put our bags in the room and the centre piece was a bottle of water with a price tag of £3-95 around the neck of it! The room was clean and decorated to a high standard. We went to t... Read more

Negatives: Noisy plumbing like a waste shredder on the toilet and not sound proof doors so can hear everyone in corridor. Have to pay for car parking. Restaurant - service really really slow..... And food not that great. No biscuits in the room like you get in other hotels. Bottled water in the room was £3.95, again free in other hotels. Overa... Read more

I have stayed in many Hilton hotels, both in the UK and the USA. This is, by far, the worst Hilton. Yes, it is clean, but it is not up to the Hilton brand. It has 2 levels but no lift for baggage. I saw many guest ps struggling with luggage up the stairs. Car parking is £25, and its in an industrial estate. Very sub optimal. Breakfast adequate, but more attuned to a 2 star hotel. This is, in my option, not deserving of the Hilton Brand. Could, and should do much better.

Stayed here when visiting the university. Pros: staff were really brilliant, polite and helpful (especially young chap supervising breakfast), breakfast is good, fairly reasonable rates, free parking with honours, gym and pool onsite. Cons: location wise it's £25 taxi into Bristol so factor that in on price, beds were pretty poor/squeaky/old, breakfast restaurant was very busy/had to queue. Bristol seems a popular city to visit particularly towards Christmas, and good value accommodation can be hard to find, hence why we plumped for staying here.
