We came here for our christmas do. We decided to book a room as well as it was going to be messy. We were greeted by friendly staff at reception and whizzed through check in. We were given a warm cookie as well which was a nice touch. The room was comfy enough, nice and clean with all the usual amenities. We used the pool and steam room which was fine. You get given a towel at the pool so don't take your room one. The party package included an open bar. Despite the rowdyness of some of our team... Read more

The man on spa reception was polite and very helpful. The spa itself is quite small and basic but it does the job. The spa was quite busy so it was difficult to use sauna/steam room/hot tub and there were a lot of kids in the pool. The showers in the pool area only seem to do scolding hot or freezing cold. The prices at the bar were extortionate, cost me nearly £4 for a Diet Coke. It was an ok day out but I probably wouldn't return.

Great place to stay. Helpful friendly staff. Even if you don't stay it's worth a visit to the restaurant to see the pottery kiln. If arriving in Bristol by bus catch a cab to the hotel....it's a long walk with luggage.

Overall I had a good stay here. All the staff were very friendly and we had a nice relaxing stay whilst visiting family. The couple of things that let the stay down were the food in the lounge bar was not great, I had the half roast chicken which was fine. Ordered a side of peri peri which when it arrived was definitely not peri peri. When I mentioned it to the waiter he checked with the chefs and they assured me it was!! Everyone nowadays knows what peri peri is, if you've run out don't try and... Read more

I booked afternoon tea at this hotel as I was able to use a 241 afternoon tea voucher. We were about 30mins late (booked for Saturday at 3pm) but on arrival we were greeted and seated promptly by friendly staff. The lounge area where we were sat was very peaceful and comfortable. I was pleased that it was only an additional £5 to add prosecco to the afternoon tea which also came with a choice of tea. All the teas were Twinings which I'm not a massive fan of but we chose the Assam which was love... Read more

First time I have stayed at a Double Tree by Hilton and I was really impressed. The rooms were modern, spotless, the beds really comfy with the best pillows I've ever found in a hotel (I'm very fussy about pillows!) and the bathrooms were pretty luxurious. The choice of tv channels was on a card which was useful and there were plenty of them. The room (I just had the lowest spec) was large with a small round table and chair as well as a large vanity unit with a big padded chair and there was sti... Read more

A couple of small issues. But not enough to put me off of returning to this hotel. The staff were very professional and friendly. The communal area was adequate. The food was excellent and plenty of it.
