My partner and I have stayed at this hotel several times The main reason for returning is the staff! They go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They are brilliant! They always make out stay enjoyable, some of the staff who recognise us, always make us feel welcome. The spa facilities are ideal for relaxing and just getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are excited to learn of the refurbishment happening over at the spa, with a new restaurant being built. T... Read more

When a man is tired of the blonde toupee and no longer finds his face funny then it is time to visit the Hilton DoubleTree Cadbury House where for a change no other face than that of Marco Pierre White glares scowls or grimaces from every wall with smugness I have never seen on my travels but I vouchsafe on first setting foot in Cadbury House the sight of a young Marco in his chef‚??s whites strengthens the spine for the grim task of checking in and finding that the room has no wardrobe but neve... We arrived late, about 10:30pm, tired after a long journey. Great welcome, efficient check-in/handover of key (we'd checked in on the app). Lovely room, comfy bed, great bedding, room temp was good and easy to control. We all had a great night's sleep, my son was very comfy on the sofa bed. Great breakfast, particularly nice bacon! Reception staff were quick, efficient and friendly and printed out a map for me. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very usefully placed hotel near Bristol/Portishead. Welcoming staff, excellent breakfast and a modern building in quite grounds, the hotel is built for its location perfectly (right down to having good triple glazing, so you'd never know it was under the Bristol Airport flight path). The layout against a hillside does mean that the floor numbering is distinctly quirky (no two lifts will take you to the same floor with pressing the same number...), and also means that half the rooms h... We've known the Country Club venue for many years having lived in the area, but the hotel wasn't built at the time. Pleased we stayed there. The organisation and the staff were excellent. Good hotel and food. Spa treatments excellent. Only criticism would be the 'spa' is more like a leisure centre than a traditional spa for relaxation purposes but it served its purpose as a meeting place for us. If using facilities as a hotel guest be sure to request a robe in the hotel as its not provided in the spa although towels are available.

However we were SO disappointed with the meal we had in the Marco Pierre White restraunt . The Sirlon steak was did not live up to our expectations it was tough and tastless with a very uninspiring salad. This was such a shame as we all do looking foward to our meal in his restraunt.

At £150 per night for a double room we were expecting boutique luxury, but unfortunately, as the previous review says, this place is dated and overpriced. This is a lovely hotel, we stay here the night before flying out on our holiday and wish we had longer. The room was extremely comfortable and modern with all the facilities would need. Also really quite considering you are near the airport. The pool and spa facilities are excellent, our little boy had loads of fun in the pool. We had eat in the bar just off the reception and had a lovely meal. I would definitely recommend this hotels to others.

This is another Hilton property that originated as a large manor house, set in the countryside with sweeping views of meadows, forests and (in the distance) the Bristol Channel. The hotel is built into a hillside so the floor numbers make no sense at all. For some of the modern rooms you must navigate two separate elevators. But once I arrived at my room I was positively surprised to see the upscale furnishings, luxury bathroom and amenities, and a great view out the front of the hotel into t... Read more

Booked to stay in a twin room with a friend, At 3am we had to call reception and ask them to do something about the room next door as we could hear EVERYTHING that was going on. They had clearly had a night out and brought company back with them. It resulted in us having to be moved but there were no other twin rooms so we had to go into a double and share bed! We had booked this hotel because it was close to Bristol airport. It was a lovely hotel to spend an evening! The grounds are very well kept, including a duck pond and various sitting areas. There was a beautiful view from the bar terrace. Our family room on the third floor had extensive views, and was very good value for a family of three. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. I would definitely come back!

Very nice overnight stop whilst visiting Glastonbury and Bath. Lovely setting and grounds, Very warm welcome from all staff and a clean and comfortable room. Excellent swimming pool with indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, though as this is a separate business it was fairly busy. Very good breakfast with a wide variety of fresh and cooked options. Ate at Bardolino's by the leisure complex which was also very good and reasonably priced.

We have used the facility of staying the night before flying a few times in the past and have had a fabulous experience. Not this time! The hotel was very busy, a hen party, a wedding and many others. We waited to be seated for 10 minutes. Our order was placed and 60 minutes later it was served. My husband had steak, not sure how it was cooked but it wasn't nice. Stupidly I had fish curry, very poor! We think upset tummies were as a result of these, not the way to start a holiday, hey ho!

I really don't understand the doubletree brand, are they premium or are they budget? The decor, historical building and the inclusion of a Marco Pierre White restaurant suggest they are premium but the service and the masses of Essex girls at the four weddings in two nights suggest it is a bit budget. Staff were as disinterested as you would expect given the sheer number of wedding guests; two weddings per night! Spent 2 hours in the pool hot tub area which was nice and clean before going to the spa area for a full body massage me and my man. Again the laddies where lovey and the treatment was most enjoyable. This review records our visit on 28/10 as it happened and is bona fide. Arrived at a hotel with great presence & surroundings. I dropped off my wife & son at the hotel's drop off point and went to park the car. I was advised that they were warmly received and provided the excellent cookies. Our first room was overlooking the overflow car park and, in a good day, may have had views to the west coast. Two issues on arrival: 1. We had booked a family room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed for h... Read more

Having had a rough start to the year I felt like needed to get away and came across this hotel online. We were originally going to do the Spa break but instead we decided to book the Loft Suite room for a bit of luxury and go down to the spa separately if there was availability. We arrived at the hotel around 14:40pm and even though check in time wasn't until 3 this wasn't a problem! We requested breakfast in bed for the morning and this was arranged. Nice touch to be welcomed with a warm cookie... Read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights at a weekend and was very impressed. The room was very clean and included tea and coffee making facilities, free toiletries and a TV with Freeview. The only slight odd feature was a window from the bedroom area into the bathroom without a blind or anything. The wifi is free and worked quite well. The spa is also free for hotel guests and was clean and enjoyable. Of course, you have to pay for the treatments but you can use the pool, steam room and sauna for fre... Read more

How do you choose a hotel? Like most people, you look at the pictures, read reviews and allow reputations (Marco Pierre White in this instance) to twist your arm. We booked the loft suite (room 505) at £285 per night with breakfast being an additional £10 each. We also booked dinner in the MPW restaurant for 7:15pm. Unfortunately, I now wished we hadn't. I'm not a professional moaner, I just like to get what I paid for. Simple! Dinner was a sad affair... stressed staff, unhappy diners (a ... Read more

Very well appointed room with an ultra modern bathroom albeit no bath. Plenty of parking and excellent check in. Superb location with outstanding grounds. Certainly recommend. Did not take breakfast but visited the Italian restaurant which is located in the leisure block which is adjacent to the hotel which was excellent.

We booked a girlie weekend away to have a spa weekend & picked Cadbury House. Driving up the long drive way to view the picturesque hotel was wonderful, very scenic and stunning! We were greeted by friendly staff we took our bags & explained when we could check in & how to get to the spa. We made our way down to the spa which was outside of the hotel down the driveway. When we got to the spa we realised straight away it was open to anyone, it was a bit like a leisure centre, the staff at rece... Read more

The rooms are good but we had a leaky gutter which kept us up all night . Also the vegetarian options are not good for dinner or breakfast. Possible it is my fault for going to a steak house. Staff good though

A hotel set in extensive grounds which are lovely. There is an old part of the hotel and modern part which fits well. Large rooms. Lovely breakfast. Did not eat in restaurant but had room service which was good. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed in this Double Tree for two nights during a recent trip. I had originally just planned one night but decided to stay on in the region and this hotel had served me well during the first night so I booked again on the same day. Unfortunately, the hotel tried to charge me some £70 pound more for the second night although the girl on the phone couldn't give an adequate reason why. Ironically, someone I had met in a business situation that same day was related to the hotel manager and so t... Read more

Stayed here last weekend for my Boyfriends birthday, I booked the hotel with the intentions to use the spa facilities etc but we ended up spending a lot of time outside of the hotel so didn't manage to use them. For the facilities we did use I was still happy with the price, the room was large and modern yet simplistic and clean. The staff were attentive and the breakfast included in the price was of good quality and they had an average range of products available. I loved that you could have ... Read more

Stayed here before, so as a returning guest, it must be ok! Dinner is good, a little pricey perhaps, but you generally get what you pay for. Breakfast is very good. Lovely location, good pool and garden to walk in.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at this hotel especially Marios as I have an intolerance to wheat,he goes that extra mile to make sure the dishes I've chosen doesn't contain wheat. Kaya,Roy and Gloria too are so friendly and helpful, along with all the reception staff and house keeping that do a brilliant job. I try and come to this hotel every month to relax . I would recommend this hotel and the spa facilities to anyone. Once again Thank you, to you all for making my tri... Read more

This was our third visit to the hotel. I have HHonors Diamond status. Warm welcome but no offer of cookie (has this finished?) and no reference to an upgrade, even to say that one was not possible due to the hotel being busy etc. Late checkout at 2pm was agreed. Nice Deluxe Family room but not that large. Some stains on the sofa. TV did not work properly so I called reception, No answer. After an hour, I went to reception, where we discovered that the phone line did not work either. Two ... Read more
