It's the little touches that really make the difference. A coffee machine in the room as well as a kettle. A good selection of teas and lovely biscuits. A fridge with complimentary proper fresh milk and a bottle of water. Venetian blinds as well as curtains to block out the light. Spa treatments that actually last the full session time, rather than spent filling out forms. Above all, staff who are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only complaint we had was the air con in the restaur... Read more

Very nice rooms and great Spa facilities. Restaurant can be busy and on the expensive side. The hotel is located within a business park so don't expect shops close by. There is a a sister lodge directly opposite where you can find a cash machine.

I used the Aztec Hotel as a venue for one of my training courses. The room was excellent; late, bright and with a good supply of coffee and biscuits. The conference centre and staff are the best I have encountered and nothing is too much trouble. I will use this venue again.

Having picked this hotel due to proximity my clients HQ, arrived around 1800 checked in immediately the entrance and public areas were really modern and in keeping , my room was allocated on the 3rd it seemed really dated, dark and in need of a revamp , the bathroom looked tired to the point it looked dirty , I enquired then at reception thinking it was a "classic" type room and checked to see if any other ones were available so to make sure I book an upgrade next time I visit ! Stayed for one night with family for the Mamma Mia tribute night. Food, entertainment, hotel and spa facilities were all fantastic and brilliant value for money. Will look to return for another event in the future. Couldn't find any negatives!

Have stayed here a couple of times with my family and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. The rooms are extremely spacious and clean, the spa is very relaxed and caters for every need. On both occasions we have eaten at the hotel restaurant and the food is very good. I would recommend the chef's table to anyone either for a starter or a main. Breakfast is also excellent. The biggest credit to the hotel however is the staff. Last year I visited with my 9 month old and this year with a ... Read more

Travelling on business I had made a reservation at the Aztec Hotel and Spa in Bristol. What a lovely, lovely hotel. Room/bed were very clean and comfortable. I wish I had the time to take in all the extras (spa/pool-in an environment that allows you to distress and feel revived)! That's how I felt and I did not have time to partake. I was very late to dinner ~2130, but you would have thought I was the first person of the day to arrive. The food was very good and the service was excellent. ... Read more

This hotel does excel in every respect . Surroundings, rooms etc are great . A great breakfast but the best assets are the staff . They were genuinely very helpful and nice . There was a minor technical hitch ref room rate and breakfast which they dealt with brilliantly. Well done to the staff and the guys behind the scenes making this very good operation work

Booked an overnight stay for my husband's birthday. As always we go straight for this hotel as it is a lovely friendly clean hotel with a fantastic pool and spa. We find the staff's attitude and willingness to please second to none. On this particular trip we were so impressed with Jason (in the restaurant) nothing was too much trouble and we felt most welcome- what a top guy ! Looking forward to booking up again.

We stayed here for my sister's hen do on the 'girl's night out' package. They could not have been more helpful, both in the run up to our stay (something I definitely appreciated as the organiser of the group!) and whilst we were there. Whilst there the team were attentive without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The facilities were great and the food amazing!! We had an amazing time and I'll certainly be returning next time I need somewhere to stay in Bristol...

Had a working lunch and was very impressed by the layout and bar area. Menu and food was excellent, service too, however having ordered fish & chips I asked twice to both waitresses for vinegar. Sadly it didn't arrive by the time I finished. Fish & Chips for me aren't the same without salt and vinegar. Hopefully next time.

I stay at the Aztec Spa regularly and it is perfect. The staff are friendly and efficient, it is clean and beautifully presented throughout including the pool and gym. I would def. recommend the buffet starter and the steak is great as are all the main meals I've tried. Great breakfast. At Aztec Spa team really will look after you !

My son got married at this hotel on 18th june 2016.The hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly and nothing seems to much trouble for them. My only complaint is there are no ramps to get to the bar and restaurant, my wife has an illness that she is dependant on her walker and wheelchair, i asked staff about this and they said if you want to use a ramp they have a mobile one and if you ring them they will get a ramp for you. i am surprised to hear that this hotel was refurbished about a... My husband booked this hotel as a treat as we were visiting Cribbs Causeway for a day out shopping. As it was my birthday he reserved the premier suite. On arrival we reconfirmed what was included in the rate as the online information is a little ambiguous to say the least ( parking is not included no matter what rate you pay ! ) There were a few niggles - the room was set up for single occupancy ( presume most of their midweek occupancy come from this type of business) however, since we had b... I've been stopping here for 4 years+, there has been some recent refurbishment, but more work is needed. The last 2 times I've been I've had a scolding hot shower that could be turned down, and last night the room had a really badly rusted bath (see picture) with cracked tiles. This really isn't good for a hotel of this price...or any hotel for that matter, and these are things that housekeeping should be reporting, not customers.

We wanted to visit Bristol and Bath and this hotel is ideally situated for both, being close to Cribbs Causeway and with quick access to the M4. I found this hotel had a Summer Treat Offer - £300 for 2 nights including breakfast and dinner each night to the value of £35 a head and a bottle of house champagne. I thought the reviews here looked very good and they were right. It was my birthday and I was touched to find macarons and a note from the hotel when we arrived; also a glass of champa... Read more

Used the Aztec West this week end for our Natiuonal Ral;lay, three nights accommodation for up to 140 people. The staff are very Proffessional in all areas of the hotel. The facilities are first rate as is the service in the restaurant. The rooms are all furnished to a high standard. Very good value for money. Everything works in this hotel, the staff go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after. IT is a pleasure to do business with the Aztec West.

Rooms and location are fine and as good as most 4 star hotels but be warned that there are hidden charges for parking (who arrives in a place like this on foot?) & for payment by credit card (who doesn't use these nowadays?). Also no hot water this morning so i asked them to knock something off the bill but they refused! I'll be challenging any credit card transaction that they try and put through!!

I have been staying in the area over a 4 month period and this is one of my favourite hotels in Bristol! The service and staff has always been top notch, food is great (although a little pricey) and the gym/spa facilities are excellent for a hotel. If you book early and specify which room you would like, you can one of their nicer rear side pond facing ones. On the rare occasion something did come up, I simply spoke with reception and the staff dealt with it promptly. Would definitely recomme... Read more

This hotel is conveniently placed just off the motorway. Parking is easy although there is a charge. Check in was quick and easy and staff pleasant. I requested a quiet room but was given one overlooking the busy road. However, the soundproofing was pretty good and I could only really hear the odd siren. Room service was quick and the food was good. The room was clean and a reasonable size but... the bed consisted of two singles pushed together. Both single mattresses had seen better days and ... Stood at check in for about 10 minutes as only one lady on her own and a queue of people waiting. Room was lovely (could do with better lighting!) but room service was limited and expensive! Swimming pool looked lovely but unfortunately didn't have time to use it. I would stay again if I needed to be in this location but would eat beforehand

We stayed in a premier twin fantastic room loved the EsPA goodies an the fully stocked mini bar. Everything was to a very high standard an great attention to detail but I think for the price it is what you would expect. We did have an issue at the hotel but this was resolved by Tierney very well an to a high standard. We did have room service menu very limited but very yummy food. We were given complimentary breakfast which was lovely however not worth £15.25 each in my opinion. I would stay ag... Read more

Stayed here on a business trip and was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The outside pretty much looks like a bog standard hotel but the interior is smart, welcoming and certainly not like your average Hilton or Marriot chain hotel. The staff were excellent throughout our stay and the food was good. It is not great for wheelchair access as the hotel is spread out on a number of levels. But if that isn't an issue for you then I would recommend it as a good stopover off the M5.

Stayed as a family just for one night. The room felt a bit dark and dated, a few stains etc around. We were quite compact within the room although I appreciate there were 4 of us. Pool area not as clean as I would have thought.

Fantastic friendly welcome from the check-in desk, breakfast was served by equally helpful and friendly staff. The room was a little tired but there were signs around informing of a refurb underway working around the hotel. The room was well stocked with a fridge with fresh milk (none of this uht nonsense) and filter coffee in the room. I will be recommending this hotel to colleagues and will request it myself when working in the area next

Decided to cut our journey to Cornwall (from Manchester) in half and found this restaurant a few days before we set off. It's a great hotel and I really recommend it!! We got in a little late and was received by the receptionist with a great smile and felt very welcomed. Our two children also got milk and cookies a few minutes later delivered to our room even though it was after the cut off time. Great night sleep, and a fantastic breakfast - lots of choice and really cooked well. Wished we ha... Read more
