We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and found the staff very friendly especially Lyndsey, she recognized us. (which was nice) We stayed there as our grandson was in hospital so we were there about every 2 months and she asked about him. The bus stop is right outside and you can park your car and use the bus. The beds are very comfortable and the room we stay in is 204 which we have specifically asked for as is it quiet.

Wifi was frustrating I had to spend most of the week in coffee shops to complete my work as it kept dropping out. Also the shower was not use at all I had to go to the gym to shower as it was a joke!!. Stay away.

the room was big, and the welcome tray stocked with coffee, sugar etc, but what a shame that this hotel has been allowed to get so run down, peeling wall paper on the walls in the bedroom and landings, sockets hanging off the walls, our window wouldn't close, our bath had massive chips in it , the carpets are threadbare in places, and the reception staff left a lot to be desired im afraid to say, handy carpark and location was only 30 mins brisk walk to and from the centre of brighton this hot... Stayed here for wildlife festival! Booked in advance but still cost loads for what it was, not in Brighton centre so fairly expensive bearing in mind location. Quick train journey to Brighton centre if desired, very close to station & cheap. Very basic hotel with a lot of things abit broken including dodgy plugs that don't work! Furnishing is very out of date!! Didn't eat here but don't know where you would as there wasn't much about outside the hotel. Stayed out of convenience for festival, sta... Read more

Front of house petty rude on arrival. Room OK, shower good. I chose this hotel specifically because it has on site parking. On my second night my vehicle was robbed on site of about four hundred and fifty pounds worth of my possessions. Hotel not sympathetic, reluctant initially to call police. Turns out there's no cctv, and checks to verify vehicles present are not carried out against guest records. One typical reaction made available was that if cctv were to be installed another twenty pounds ... Read more

Stayed for one night only very tired looking hotel in need of refurbishment. Large room an clean beds shower adequate but in need of update. No lift so not suitable for disabled people. Not too far from city centre and bus stops immediately in front of hotel. Breakfast Ok but we're not offered coffe or toast refills. All staff very pleasant. Hotel has own parking which is a plus in Brighton.

I was a little concerned about staying at this hotel after reading the other reviews here, but I can say that this hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable with the added benefit of a large free car park (a rarity in Brighton). Staff are pleasant, rooms are large, bathrooms clean but basic. Definitely a hotel for the business traveller rather than holiday makers.

Booked at short notice for reasonable price. The good : staff friendly, not too far from attractions, good price, large rooms, lots of space, fresh towels and comfy bed. Reasonably clean. The bad: very outdated and could do with refurb but didn't bother me too much as I wasn't expecting too much for the price I paid, shower had hardly any water pressure, room got quite stuffy. Was much better than expected and overall a pleasant stay.

This hotel is in need of an up date as it looks tiered and in need of a fresh coat of paint . We only stopped for one night which was comfortable. The breakfast was Ok not brilliant . We ate out in the evening so cannot comment on the menu . There is not a lift so is not really suitable for disabled persons . It is more of a conference type of hotel or for business sales people.

We stayed 2nts here. Beds were comfortable, room adequate in size, bath and over bath shower. Our room was quiet and cooler as it was at the back of the hotel facing the garden. A bit of a rabbit warren, but it is an old building. We ate at a pub 5min walk away but there is a restaurant on site. Free on site parking- this was why we chose this hotel as most hotels in Brighton only have public car parking at extra cost. Bathroom amenities were very minimal as in any 2-3 star hotels.
