We stayed one night in the Motown themed room. The room was fabulously funky. Great decor and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, too comfy in fact that we slept through breakfast which was a shame. The staff are so friendly and bar has a great atmosphere. We will definitely return to try out the other rooms. Thanks for a great night ū???

My wife and I stayed at the Pelirocco last night. To be honest as two 50 somethings we didn't think it would be our thing but how wrong we were... We had the Mod room, (see pics), on arrival we were warmly greeted by a charming, friendly young lady who explained everything about the hotel and more. Our room was an eye opener, a Parker (?) coat as a bedspread, a montage of Keith Moon on the wall and Vespas ( or maybe Lambrettas ) as bedside lights, with loads of other lovely touches around the r... Well it is a bar, and a pop up restaurant and a party venue, and of course a rock n roll hotel, so waddya expect? We loved it, even if the Betty Paige room was literally vibrating from the DJ below till midnight. THE DIANA DORS room was even prettier and really quiet. The English breakfast is perfection, as was the Bloody Mary breakfast in bed. And don't get me started on the night cap vodka and berry white hot chocolate with cream. Best night cap ever. This place is the mecca for anybody of any gender, any age . It has the most quirky rooms possible from Lord Vader Quarters ( Star Wars themes) to Do Knit disturb (almost everything is crocheted). The rooms are spotless and the ambience is so laid back it just made my whole stay so relaxing and helped make a difficult working week very bareable. The fully Monty breakfast is well worth a go too.

My second visit....its now my place of choice when I come to Brighton. The bar is quirky and cool and I never tire of the decor. We stayed in the 'Soul Supreme' Room this time and it was lush. The bed was really comfortable and duvet was very good quality ... for those of you that care about that sort of thing. I love the little touches, like the Curly Wurlys and the records available to play in the room.

These photos were among many, we wish we were warned of this. Apart from the uneven floors, which poses a hazard, and dated decor, this hotel is clearly for adults. The posters and costumes and decor suggests that it is for adult entertainment.

What an absolutely fantastic hotel! We stayed in the Pin Up Parlour, a room dedicated to Diana Dors. The decor was great and the finishing touches added to the atmosphere. The bed was very comfy and the Curly Wurlies were the perfect treat. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the cocktails are a must. The bar is very cool and trendy. A good, hearty breakfast certainly helped to soak up the alcohol. We loved our stay and will certainly be returning again soon.

I stayed here with 6 girls last weekend. The rooms were great, the bar was great, the cocktails and breakfast were great... really quirky. Everyone there was really helpful and friendly - nice to be greeted with a smile every time you saw them. It is quite lively/noisy but we enjoyed that and joined in - not necessarily the best choice if you want peace and quiet! 5 mins walk from the pier/lanes and we could see the sea from our window which was great. The Hotel had been recommended to us by our much traveled elder Son and our Daughter in Law.They were certain that we would enjoy spending an evening at the Boutique Hotel as part of a visit to Brighton mainly for a day at the Races. The Hotel was great fun although we couldn't be certain that a couple of old timers like us had ever visited. Clearly, it is geared to a younger generation but none of the staff ever gave us the feeling that we weren't welcome. The staff are all young but very prof... Read more

We stayed in the Diana Dors room and it was fantastic - big and roomy and overlooking Regency Square. Clean, sumptuous and yes very glamorous - we loved it. There is a well stocked bar downstairs, decked out in bright, multi-coloured wallpapers. Break fax was also very good indeed. Eggs Royale is recommended.

Stay here if you want to smile, be passionate, cheeky, risqué or just plain happy. Rooms great fun. (We stayed in Bettie's Boudoir). Scrutinize them and you'll find decorative imperfections but so what...the property is a delightful older building and allowed the odd flaw. Go stay in a modern characterless new 5 or 6 star if you crave that. Stay here and leave with memories! A great breakfast too. Will stay again if only to try another room!

Having stayed at the Pelirocco a year ago we were keen to go back again. We stayed in the same room (No.18 - The Nookie room) Last time the mattress was on its last legs and a year later its not been replaced. Given the price for the room and the recent refurbishment I would have expected the mattress to have been changed. Not a good nights sleep and won't be back again.

Clean room and good facilities. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Each room is different in character we were in cuckoo room on top floor with view across Regancy Square. Room had a bath but no shower. Comfortable bed. Lift only fits on person with luggage so either take it in turns or get fit and take stairs!

Stayed 2 nights mid week back in May in Kraken's Lair and wow, what a suite. It's in the basement, it's dark, it's quirky - but that's exactly what we wanted. Massive round bed with a huge mirror above and a dancing pole in the bedroom. Huge bathroom with the most fabulous double shower heads over a big bath. It's described as the room for a dirty weekend so don't book this if you're a prude! There is no view, although it does have an enclosed courtyard all for you at the rear. It's in a fab loc... I stayed in the rough trade room and loved it, I could live in it! It's was very quiet despite a party in the bar. All the fittings and linens are high quality. The staff are friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect, just up from the new 360 ride. It is quirky though, if you don't like having your senses assaulted on all sides it's maybe not for you.

went here for just one night last weekend and had a great time. the hotel is basically opposite the new i360 if that is something you're interested in, and a 5 minute walk from the Churchill shopping centre/town centre. we stayed in the Pretty Vacant room, obviously Sex Pistols inspired, and it was seriously cute. everything was clean, no complaints! only thing i would say is that the bathroom was very small, and could really do with an update but the shower was decent and all amenities were av... A brilliant hotel. Every room was different. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the top floor but there is a lift. Clean and tidy room. Things could be looking a little tied but just added to the feel. Breakfast was great. Full English lovely quality. Definitely worth a try, very unusual and unique. If I returned would have a room on a lower floor which would then not have the eves and a larger bathroom

My partner Samantha and l has two nights in the oh-so-audacious Hotel Pelirocco recently.. the fun themed rooms, the amazing artwork and memorabilia that adorned every wall and corner and the uber cool bar and live music spot simply hit the spot! The breakfast on the first morning was truly fab with locally sourced produce, cooked to perfection, our only gripe was the breakfast the second day didn't live up to the first.. otherwise, a truly memorable stay, worth the extra few quid, there is an ... We chose this hotel mainly because of its position, partly because we needed a 3- bedded room & well.....because it looked different! We had 2 nights in the Dolly Parton room which overlooked the square. We could see the sea & were a short walk from a good choice of restaurants & the shops. The decor is fabulous in all the public areas & our room was great. The attention to detail is amazing. It does help if you're fit & don't mind stairs. As mentioned in other reviews, the lift takes 2 people ... Read more

We spent one night at the Pelirocco to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is great, full of character and very quirky. We stayed in the GB room, which was lovely and had its own record player so we listened to some vinyls whilst getting ready in the evening. The only downside of the GB room is that is located at the back of the hotel overlooking the rear of other buildings. We had to have the window open as it was a hot night so there was some noise until the early hours of the mornin... Read more

This hotel is very probably the most quirky and unusual place I‚??ve ever stayed. It‚??s certainly not one for the easily offended or any shrinking violets, not least when you consider that one of the offerings on the ‚??services‚?? card in the room is for a box including vibrating love toys! I found the place thanks to the reviews on here putting it fairly high in the list and then, when I checked online, I discovered they had a room dedicated to Dolly Parton. Sold. Stayed here for 2 nights with my bro and fellow trip advisor member Brisphil. It's easy to find as the new i360 attraction is at the front of the square where it's situated. Car parking is a big issue in Brighton, however there is a large underground car park under the square, so that was handy. As it's a small hotel you get a front door key, handy if your having a big night on the town as we were! We stayed in Lord Vader's Quarters, its been along time since I negotiated from a top bunk, but i... Read more

The staff were really welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the kraken lair which was good fun, but perhaps needs a bit more of a luxury touch to it. Slightly overpriced, no complimentary toiletries and no mini bar just a fridge. Breakfast was good and was nice that it was delivered to the room, however 1 morning if l attempted to eat the toast I would have cracked my teeth. Nice location to bars and restaurants and central Brighton not far, along with just being up the road from the British air... Read more

With hotels being so bland, the Pelirocco was a breath of fresh air. Warm welcoming staff and really lovely rooms finished with a personal touch. Our room had a vinyl record player with the great Nat King Cole all ready to sooth our souls.... unforgettable ;0) Massive king size bed and a new en suite bathroom also won us over. We'd recommend a stay....enjoy

Stayed for one night in a single room ( knitted room) . Room small & bathroom minuscule but adequate for on night. It was a Friday night and it was very noisy with a club nearby but you have to expect that in Brighton. Late bar (3am). Very reasonable price and great breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff.

What a fantastic, unique, friendly, vibrant place the Pelirocco is. I stayed in the Diana Dors Room which was as fabulous as the Queen of Glamour herself. Breakfast was served by friendly, really welcoming staff and indeed everyone I had dealings with at the hotel was lovely. I highly recommend this gorgeous oasis of punky glam.

The key issues for me in staying in a hotel is a good quality, comfortable mattress, a good bathroom, and the quietness/darkness required to sleep. There were issues with all of these in The Bowery Room. The mattress really needs replacing as there is a very saggy section and the springs can be felt generally across the mattress. The water pressure for the shower in The Bowery Room is so low that it makes the shower essentially unusable. I had to take a bath instead. The blinds are yellow and ar... Read more

We stayed at the Pelirocco for two nights in early October. The hotel is situated in a lovely square right opposite the promenade and very close to the British Airways i360 attraction which is well worth a visit too. From the minute you step into the hallway you are surrounded by everything quirky and the public toilet for the bar is amazing. The decor in the hotel is fantastic. Just climbing the stairs is a treat as the walls are full of interesting artwork, photos and vinyl record sleeves. We were given a voucher for one night here by my son and his GF. When I looked at the website I thought it wouldn't be my kind of place-how wrong I was! The location is brilliant-1 minute and you are on the beach, right by the new i360 viewing pod/ride. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. Our room was the soul supreme room, more than adequate for our one night stay. Breakfast was hot and tasty with a great selection. Cannot fault it.

Amazing hotel, such a cool design with incredible attention to detail. We stayed in two different rooms - the Bowery and the Soul Supreme - and they were brilliant. Customer service was excellent, the right amount of attention and care - any questions or issues were dealt with immediately but the staff were never overbearing. We felt like we were staying at very attentive friends rather than a hotel (which are often soulless). The breakfast was of high quality (as was the bar!) and we weren't ev... Read more

I stayed here for one night back in the summer for a bit of a weekend away with my girlfriend. The hotel itself is in a little square just off the seafront, and just a short walk away from all the main areas, so a great location. The main selling point for this place though is the decoration. All the rooms are themed, we were staying in a Soviet Russia themed room and it was not only a fun place to stay, but just a really nice room overall. I was struck with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the great full english breakfast. I think that because it was such a fun and quirky hotel, that i was not really expecting the hotel to be as good as it was, but I was wrong, comfy bed, lovely shower, great themed room, a really fab place to stay, and the staff were lovely. The location is great practically on the seafront and a short walk to the pier and city centre. The rooms are themed to taste, could have done with a larger bathroom and a bath but room itself was large although had no wardrobe or drawers. Artwork adorns almost every inch of the walls and is fun to look at as you make your way up or down the staircase. The cooked breakfast was very good with quality ingredients especially the sausages.

Hotel Pelirocco was recommended by a close friend, so when I booked it for my Birthday stay in Brighton, I think my expectations were higher than normal. The décor of the hotel is exactly as expected. However the condition could be seen as a tired regency hotel. We stayed in 'Bettie's Boudoir' room. which for the price paid, was a fairly decent room, with a new bathroom fit out.
