The hotel is very wel located, a short walking distance from the city centre, and with a great view over sea. The rooms are good, and the facilities excellent. A nice bar and good breakfast buffet. So, good value for money.

We pre-booked this hotel before travelling having checked reviews on Trip advisor. The hotel was grand and although we hadn't booked a sea view our room was at the side of the hotel and we were able to see the sea (through the dirty windows). We managed to check out the leisure facilities (after check out) on our last day and it was a great way to relax after a busy long weekend in Blackpool. The only complaint was the wait for breakfast each morning although the hotel do advise you when the bus... Read more

Stayed here one night B&B before flying on holiday from Manchester. Never slept all night as our room was at the back of the hotel backing on to a fairly busy road. As there was no double glazing,we were kept awake most of the night with cars passing. Also,we had no air conditioning but there was some kind of aircon unit right outside our window which kept kicking in every so often. Also thought the breakfast was of very poor quality.

We arrived slightly early when we arrived the hotel had no knowledge of a booking made a few weeks ago. This was soon sorted by Adam on reception. He also double checked the spa booking made at the same time. Our room was comfy and clean. It was also quite. We received a call to confirm our bookings for spa treatments. My husband had a back and shoulder massage and I had a facial. The therapist was lovely and polite.Only drawback to the leisure and spa area are the stairs, which I struggled with. In ... Read more

Although it was heavy rains and icy cold outside, inside hotel atmosphere made up for it. Services was great and welcoming, staff were friendly and even let us leave later than the time stated. A regal classic look and very comfortable beds with a good size tv and bathroom had great space, very clean and shower was like a therapy.

Just got back from a wonderful night away with my best friend , when she said we were going to Blackpool I was slightly dubious as I've had many bad experiences but I have to say everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff were lovely, the food was lovely, our room was very comfortable as were the beds and pillows , i stayed in room 123 and I will definitely be back with my family, thank you Imperial for a lovely weekend.

The view from the room was scafolding, which although was not pleasant was unavoidable. The decor was disgraceful, the response from the hotel poor. Use a premier inn.Paint was flaking of sills, yellowed paint where door knobs were replaced. Worn carpet. Absolutely shocking.

Great hotel, friendly staff, good food, large rooms, good facilities. But needs air con in the rooms. It was like sleeping in a sauna. check in was efficient, and got into my room before the stated 3pm time. Slight confusion on my party size, but this was due to Booking.com getting it wrong. It was quickly resolved. Staff were excellent, and made my 7 year old daughter feel special and important

We arrived early and our room was not ready. This wasn't a problem as it was clear from our booking that check now is from 3pm. However we did all the paperwork so we just had to pick up our room key when we got back. The hotel is lovely. Downsides were the bar was very hot and also for those that smoke there wasn't a covered area for them to go apart from the steps of the hotel. Our room was a little hot despite the lashing rain outside (there was only a small window to try and let some air i... Read more

Had another fantastic 5 night stay at the Imperial Blackpool this Whitsun half term made all the better by the weather. The hotel does show signs of ware in places but this is an old hotel so this is par for the course. The lobby area and Palm Court restaurant have been newly refurbished with updated décor and furniture. The staff were, as usual, helpful and friendly. We stayed in 409 which is on the top floor with a sea view. The room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room even with a... Read more

Stayed in room 348. Adequate size and very clean. Dismal view of hotel pipes and gbbings. Over heated. Plenty of hot water in bathroom but room rather a strange shape which necessitated squeezing past the length of the bath to get to the toilet. Reception was very slow on checking in with only one receptionist and a long queue. Good food and polite, cheerful staff in restaurant. World championship pool completion on so very busy.

Just returned from a fabulous stay at the Imperial at Blackpool. Evening Meal was lovely, staff were excellent, really helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotlessly clean. We took our own fan but still didn't help much The main halls where the championship were held lacked air con and were unbelievably hot For such a class venue to lack working air con is a mystery Such a shame for such a great place to stay

A grand hotel but with the common touch. Attentive local and knowledgeable staff of course - this is Lancashire. It's apparently a 4 star hotel but I question the frequency of that grading. The building is looking in dire need of a refresh and the same can be said of the staff. They just don't seem to like the hospitality industry. Unhappy and pretty much all complaining. On arrival, we all know first impressions count. Check in was a queue and a disorganised one at that. From previous reviews it may be that we were particularly unlucky with our room (345) The room itself was ok but the bathroom was disgusting. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, either buffet or menu choices, but the carvery was overcooked and overpriced. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful and the bar was pleasant to sit in at the end of the day. I would only return if a much better room was available.

We couldn't have picked a better place. The staff were attentive without being overly so and the food was fabulous. Evening meal very good, l Would willingly pay £23.50 for 3 courses. Breakfast buffet very good food hot which you don.t normally get with a buffet, choice was good at both meals. Spacious public areas and landings all very positive; bedroom was small-ish and slightly dated, but otherwise clean and comfortable with tea facilities, TV and a decent shower. We had a fab time at the Imperial this past weekend. The location is within walking distance to the tower and North pier, but if you dont fancy the walk or are heading to the pleasure each, just jump on the tram right outside the hotel. Staff were very nice and professional, room was nice and clean, and breakfast was excellent. The building is a throwback to the 19th century in grand style, but carefully updated without losing any of its character. Will be staying with you next time.
