Just returned from a family weekend staying here which I can thoroughly recommend. Hotel is clean and rooms spacious. Check in was smooth and professional and I found the lady who we dealt with extremely helpful. The rooms were excellent as was the breakfast. Lovely staff throughout. Will definitely return

Stayed 3 nights for a family funeral. Hotel was very nice and cost £230 pounds per room including breakfast. Clientele seemed to be mostly middle aged and fairly subdued which suited us. Hotel has direct access to Pleasure beach, in fact the roller coaster the "Big One" went right past our window and surprisingly it caused little disturbance when it was running which was late morning to early evening. Now to the matter of the "ghost" lol The bedroom floors are clearly marked and Quiet Zones... Read more

We arrived on Friday afternoon for a two night stay in a Family Four Room for a long weekend. The Hotel is a fair walk from the centre but trams are handy and very regular and it is a pleasant walk to town weather permitting. The room was adequate and overall quiet despite there being a disturbance in the room next door at 1.30am but this was dealt with quickly by Reception. Breakfast is out of the world and a real highlight consisting of Full English, Continental, Pastries and Cereals all fresh... Read more

Great location, good value, right next to pleasure beach! Good rooms for children, a bunk bed with a tv at the end of the bed and a view over the rides. Good bar for evening drinks. We ate fish and chips on the sea front but the restaurant looked very pleasant. Breakfast was busy but very filling and tasty. Wouldn't stop anywhere else in Blackpool ???

Everything about this hotel is first class especially the friendly staff. Everywhere is spotless and the rooms are spacious and very well appointed. When they say tea and coffee in the room they also mean loads of other drinks and plenty of milk. Despite it's location, inside is very quiet and relaxed and the restaurant and room service are fantastic value.

Not our usual destination, however the kids wanted to go during half term. We stayed at the big blue and I must say it surpassed all our expectations, the family room was great for all of us, the bunk beds and TV's were a massive hit with the kids. the hotel staff couldn't do enough for us, so well done all round. We booked a deal for pleasure beach tickets for the Friday and again had a great day, weather was great and the pleasure beach a huge improvement from 10 years ago!

Me and my friend stayed at the Big Blue Hotel for a 2 night stay as we were seeing the Funny Girls show. We were lucky and got a parking space right outside the entrance and even though we were a little early our room was ready to check in. We had booked a twin room with Travel Republic and there was no problem with the booking. The room was clean and had vey thing we needed although there was only one spare plug which was a pain when we needed to charge 2 phones. There were spare pillows and... Read more

Booked into a Deluxe room for one night . First impressions were good , staff friendly and helpful at check in . Room looked very nice as did the resteraunt . We had a lovely day out and enjoyed an excellent meal later in the evening . All good so far . We went to bed and My wife ( a bit tipsy ) went straight to sleep . I however endured a terrible night on what I would describe as a springy worn out bed . In the morning we swapped sides and it became obvious that one side was very different . I... Read more

We stayed here for 1 night in June after finding a deal on groupon. We paid £50 each which gave us one night in the hotel with breakfast and a wristband for the pleasure beach! We arrived at the hotel at about 11pm after a 5 hour drive, and were happy to find the staff friendly and helpful. We went up to our rooms and found they were spacious, clean and perfect for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and huge!! We went down to the bar where we had a cocktail which yes - was pricey but was... Read more

Ok.... Most hotels in Blackpool are pretty grim to say the least, so finding a decent in one with space is probably going to cost you a fair bit. We paid £260 ish for a 2 night stay, we had a ground floor family deluxe room which could interlink with another. Although this interlink was locked. Check in was quick easy and the girl was very polite. Over the 2 nights we had a few interactions with the staff and all were fairly decent. We bought pleasure beach tickets with ease. Brilliantly located, in the quieter end of the resort by the theme park away from all the rowdy bars and night clubs so perfect when you've got kids. Really easy to find and plenty of parking spaces even though we arrived at midday on a Saturday. Reception told us room would not be ready until 3 but we had tickets for the theme park so this did not matter. Check in was quick and efficient, booked a deluxe family room which has a king size bed then a separate area where there are bunk beds so m... Read more

I had a fantastic stay over here with my two young daughters following a day at the pleasure beach. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms clean and nicely done, even with a play station in the kids room. We had dinner in the brasserie which was superb both regarding the food and service. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed here as it was ideal as we came pretty much for pleasure beach only and shopping. Nice room with a view of roller coasters. Was kept up all night with the sound of the extractor fan in bathroom as couldn't switch it off, went down to complain to a guy on reception for him to turn round and say its wind ??. Also my 6 yr old daughter burnt herself on the towel rail..clearly no sign anywhere to say its hot! And all we got was a 'sorry about that' and that was it. £90 for dinner for 4 of us... Read more

Back again to this wonderful hotel at Blackpool our choice time after time. Great for family being joined to the funfair through a private entrance. The rooms are spacious, the staff really friendly, the food is good. Parking is very spacious and we leave our car here, hop on the bus or tram and if the weather is bad order a taxi. We always stay here to watch shows at the Grand or Winter Gardens and is perfect for the grand kids.A taxi to the Tower from here is around £7.60 for four people so I... Read more

I always stay at the Big Blue Hotel when I have business in Blackpool as it is so much more comfortable than the cheap B&B's that are everywhere. This place is nice and modern, big bright, comfortable and clean rooms. Good onsite bar and restaurant. The staff are also always friendly and polite. This hotel costs slightly more than the neighbouring B&B's but from experience the extra money is definitely worth it, you get what you pay for and I have not yet had a pleasant stay in any other accommo... Overall this is a nice hotel. I love how the room caters for a family of 5! Bunk beds for the kids, the location of the hotel is great especially if you plan to visit pleasure beach. Obviously the hotel is pricey. The rooms are nice, the beds and pillows a little hard, bathrooms are ok but looks like they could use a deep cleaning or just tile the whole lot. Wooden skirting boards just get to look grubby. The bar area was nice. The breakfast- you could wait a while to be seated. The food, had it... Read more

Be aware tho if youre a smoker, because they say they have a smoking area BUT if there are people in the restaurant you can't smoke there , whats the point of having a smoking shelter, if you can't use it.
