I visited this hotel between 12th and 14th January 2017. Booked through Booking .com as could not find a direct phone number. We arrived mid afternoon and was given a sea facing room. Was informed the room should have been more but would not be charged. The room 114 directly in front of the lift. It is called the Donkey room. Admittedly it was blowing a gsle that first night was most uncomfortable. Whistling rattling and sounds like fighting cats. Sure you can't help the weather but next morni... Read more

Booked this hotel as it was on the sea front and had car parking. We were there to see my partner's granddaughter dancing at the ballroom dancing competion at the Winter Gardens. We booked a Superior Room to get a sea front view. We paid in full at reception and we were allocated room109. On approaching the room we noticed that the adjacent corridor was quite cold. On entering the room the cold was very apparent with a luke warm radiator. Tried calling reception but no reply so I went back ... Read more

Having stayed at the Carlton a couple of times some years ago, we decided to book this hotel again for our recent 2 night 'twixtmas' break. We were most impressed by the improvements which have been made since our last visit ! We were warmly welcomed and provided with a pleasant front facing room (306). This was of an adequate size, with a nice bathroom (bath and shower). The weather was very cold during our stay, but the whole hotel was very well heated throughout. The hotel has a pleasant ... We visited the hotel after deciding on a last minute out of season visit to Blackpool. The hotel is located past North Shore at the quieter end of Blackpool. There is plenty of parking available outside of the hotel which is a welcome surprise for some hotels in Blackpool. We were greeted upon arrival & checked in by a friendly gentleman who explained clearly all the services & meal times in the hotel. The hotel was very quiet so it was difficult to experience the bar facilities in full swing.... Read more

I'd booked another hotel in Blackpool for New Year at it was great, but we went for a drink in Carlton to see if bar had been done as last time we stayed here if was being renovated. What a great job, the bar area, restaurant etc all been done & look fantastic, we've put a deposit down for May to stay here. Thanks to bar staff during the day, made to feel special.

Stayed 2 nights for business but had my partner staying with me, needed to upgrade our room to double room with sea view (£10) for that reason. Reasonably priced in mid range compare to some of the near ones (ie Hilton) with better rooms than the very cheap ones. Hotel was nice and rooms clean and tidy. Bathrooms clean but may need a bit of an upgrade, figuring out shower setting was a bit of a challenge. Breakfast ok but mushroom were tinned and tasted funny so would not recommend. There is a ... We stayed overnight and had a double room facing towards to the sea front. Hotel was lovely & clean. Staff were really lovely. It has its own free car park which is a bonus. Great location - about 15 mins walk to the town. Only down side was our room was really tiny - we were on top of each other. But not the end of the world. We would probably use this hotel again.

The only reason for giving this hotel a 4 star and not a 5 star was because of the size of the room in comparison to the prize we paid. Expect a little more to the room but still enjoyed it. Breakfast was amazing would stay again if they had bigger rooms for the same price.

Hotel ideally placed on Sea front. Lovely views while eating excellent breakfast or evening meal. Food enjoyable and good quality. Hotel clean with single, double and family rooms but the ones I saw were all small with same size hanging space in each room, open bedside table with shelf. Only one drawer for hairdryer. Very little floor space for sitting watching TV in room . In shower room/bathroom the sink was tiny in single room, no towel rail in mine. Hardly anywhere to place toiletries in eit... Read more
