Ruby was so helpful and pleasant makes checking in each week a pleasure. Even organised my own closet for my suits whilst I'm not staying at the hotel. Brilliant. The hotel itself is comfortable and the facilities are certainly adequate. Marcos restaurant is pleasant and the food is usually of a good standard. The bar food benefits from being prepared by the restaurant kitchen.

Stayed for one night for business. Very nice welcome from Ruby on the front desk who helped me gain a room with airport views. Also a nice upgrade to a queen room due to the possibility of noise from a party/conference being held in the hotel. Comfortable, clean stay.

recent business trip. Rooms etc were fine but hotel is let down by the restaurant. Servi e was incredibly so despite the apparent addquate numbers of staff. There didnt seem to be anyone in overall control, a 2 course dinner took over 2 1/2 hrs to complete forgotten drinks orders etc didnt help. My ceaser salad was disappointing, a colleagues steak over seasoned resulted in the offer of a reduction in the bill which then took 1/2 hr to process. We stayed here the night before flying from the airport. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are quiet and comfortable which is all a person needs. Try and get a room on the side of the building facing away from the airport and further away from the lifts so you don't get lots of people walking past. The only let down is the price of the drinks and food. £9 for a pint of bass ale and a white wine spritzer is extortionate.

Great stop over , thanks to Ruby who upgraded my room to a suite after some much needed rest after a long haul flight. Room was perfect and bed was super comfy, the room also had a shower and bath with all toiletries provided. I ordered breakfast to my room it arrived quickly and it was cheap. I will definitely stay here again .

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children age 6 and 12 ). I stay at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport quite a lot, so it would be easy to find fault. However, over the past few months a dramatic change has taken place with extensive work carried out from Reception through to the Bar. There have been additions of relaxation and work areas with the addition of both general and powered USB sockets and with final completion of the whole project I have to say it is a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Food was really good and breakfast was available over a wide range of times - there was even a notice telling you how to avoid crowds at breakfast - I had no problem at all finding a table at about 08.00 The hotel is close to the airport and so not the quietest place you will ever come across. A nice touch was complimentary earplugs!

Stayed recently for 2 nights on business .hotel rooms look recently refurbished as is the bar area so good there. Food menu in bar ok but when you pay £20 for a steak in a bar you expect more than the steak, lovely by the way ,fries and a handful of rocket, could try a little harder there! Perhaps there was a surcharge for serving it on a slate..a little pretentious me thinks Breakfast offered a good selection. However will stay again great location for my business purposes.
