Excellent location, just off Broad Street. Very nice area lots of restaurants and near to all amenities. Room on the small side and bathroom a little "tired" looking. Room was also very warm as aircon was preset and temp could not be altered. All in all a nice stay though and would stay here again.

This review is based on my stay on 21.5.2016. We arrived around 6.15pm and were a little anxious as the car park was difficult to find and all the roadworks in Birmingham . Our concert open time was from 6.30pm so we were on a tight schedule. As we approached the desk 3 of the 4 receptionists we're dealing with customers and one on the telephone .She acknowledged us with eye contact and ended her call. The lady then told us to wait as she was waiting for her caller to call right back .After waiti... Good points: Excellent location, tidy room. Car park: Not suitable for SUVs, entry key expires in 10 minutes and a new key needs to be obtained from reception each time you exit and return. No lift in the car park and luggage has to be taken up two flights of stairs. Room: The air conditioning was not working and the room was very hot. I reported this to reception and staff came up to the room to confirm this and said that the air conditioning can not be fixed but offered another room which was ... Read more

Reasonably priced. 5 minute walk to Barclaycard arena (NIA), lots of bars and restaurants close by, and only a short walk into the City centre, bullring etc. Parked at Q-Park which is next door. The location of this hotel is great, especially if you're in Birmingham for a night out on Broad Street or at Brindley Place which are both very close by. There's a Spar shop around the corner for those late night snacks. The hotel room itself had a few great points, including the fridge, safe and plenty of storage. There was also facilities for 6 cups of tea which was very welcome! However the room was very warm and the air con made little difference. The bathroom door didn't lock, and it had ... Read more

Once checked in we were told where the bar/restaurant were located, they also offered us a choice where to stay, upper or lower floors. We overlooked a nice laid out square at the front of the hotel . The room it self was laid out well, a wall mounted flat screen, good sized wardrobe with drawers a large work station with high speed internet points. The staff on reception were efficient without being overly friendly. The room was adequate but not the standard I would expect. Also be warned this is the only hotel I've ever Saturday in the UK that doesn't have a bath!! 5 stars for the staff bit 2 stars as a overall rating!!! Not what I expect from a HILTON HOTEL!!!

I felt that the service levels in the in house restaurant, Cafe City, were hit and miss. I had a bad overall experience at this hotel but it could have been due to the room I was given. The hotel itself looks to be in good shape. The rooms are decorated nicely with what feels like 60s furniture. My issue had to do with the bath though. I was given a handicap-accesible room (which is generally ok but the bath setup just didn't work well for me). The shower also did not drain which made it a hassle as I had to shut the water off every few minutes to let the water slowly drain.

I had a short stay here en route between Dublin and Manchester via Birmingham Airport. Check in was fine and quick, the room was pretty standard for a former City Inn property that's been rebadged as a Hilton. My stay would have been fine if it had not been for excessive external noise early in the morning (like 04:30). This sounded like some kind of industrial scale rubbish collection but was hugely loud and also repeated about 30 minutes later. If it hadn't have been for the noise, I'd proba... Read more

A busy hotel that is in a great location for local bars, clubs and restaurants. Walk to the bullring is about 15 minutes. Although the hotel was busy we couldn't fault the service from any of the staff. Breakfast was buffet style and was of reasonable quality with plenty on offer. I would warn future visitors that this hotel can be quite noisy due to its location and proliferation of stag and hen parties but this should not detract too much as it is in a great location.

The room was alright, I had no noise complaints on the 5th floor. The receptionists were very kind and helpful, gave me every information I needed when I asked. In fairness this hotel is okay. BUT I have stayed here many many times with work and the food is never great and the service very very slow. There are usually several items not available and you just end up eating out eventually. There are some really nice places very close by so it isn't a disaster to eat out. It is very clean and it is by no means a bad experience, but the restaurant food and service really lets it down. Bar area is okay but quite small. If its busy you will struggle to ... Read more

We stayed here in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. The check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The room has centrally controlled heating which meant that it was very warm overnight, in fact verging on uncomfortable. Breakfast was very nice. I would usually stay at the Premier Inn on the canal side in Birmingham. However, on this occasion it was fully booked and I needed to be as close to Broad Street as possible. The Hilton Garden Inn looked ideal. My two primary requirements are air conditioning and WiFi (or at least the knowledge I'd get a decent 3G/4G signal). If you are coming in to Birmingham via New Street station, get a taxi and don't try to walk it, because there is a steep and long upward walk from the station to the hotel. Staff were pleasant at check in and offered us a late check out as we are HHonors members, which was very nice! The biggest issue was street noise, despite being on the fifth floor. We were both kept awake from around 1am to 4am by nightclubbers and car horns. Not the hotels fault but better sound insulation would help. The other issue was the bathro... Read more

Stayer here for one night with my husband. The rooms were nice and clean and quite spacious. The lighting is good (for all you ladies wanting to get ready in front of the mirror). The bathroom was clean and nice to use. They have an overflow car park which is only a minutes walk away and it's practically on Broad Street so plenty of bars/clubs/restaurants to walk to and from.

Modern hotel in a good position for city centre and Barclaycard Arena. Secure nearby parking was an asset at reasonable rates. Staff service excellent. Modern decor including a lovely bar and restaurant.

Here for a couple of nights stay for a conference. Really pleasant staff on reception and on the bar. Nice clean room. Good location for bars and restaurants. Downside? Bar a bit soulless, even for a hotel bar. Aircon/heating setting in rooms very confusing. But overall a nice experience. Clean. Friendly and convenient.

What more do you need to know about the hotel other than the fact that at breakfast they have a waffle iron and you can make your own fresh waffles and then stack bacon on top and cover it in maple syrup! But seriously, was here for a few nights on business and it was a pleasant experience. Sadly no sweets/biscuits in the room, but the waffles made up for it.

The general demeanour and attitude of the obviously overworked staff is very poor. The parking in the basement is some of the worst and most inconvenient I have ever used. Not appalling but there are many better hotels. Oh and don't bother with the usual platitudes about using you next time - I won't.

All the staff in the hotel were eager to help, friendly responsive and professional. The room was quiet and the windows opened. It was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. I was very happy with my stay

Good location to barclays areana. Close to bars and restaurants. I would add that this hotel is more of a no frills experience, as its a hilton garden you can't expect the larger beds you find in the standard hilton hotels. Also no slippers or robes ( if you like that kinda thing) and no breakfast in bed. The rooms are a bit sparse on decor but clean and functional. No bath in our room which was £221 for the one night and was NOT a standard room ( overpriced I'm afraid but it's location of h... Read more

We spent last weekend at this hotel, it was the start of the German Christmas market and we were meeting up with friends. We found this hotel brilliantly situated right in the centre of Birmingham, we had a lovely welcome shown to our room, which was lovely and clean on the first floor. We were able to park our car in there underground car park for the weekend, costing just £13 much cheaper then other car parks. We would use this hotel again.

Could not fault this hotel in any way. Modern clean well equipped rooms, everything that you require. Very friendly and helpful staff and excellent value for money. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide choice. Will definitely return at a later date.

Stayed here several times- its ideal for the ICC and central Birmingham but nothing to write home about. Comfortable - cleanish and good service but nothing special. I actually was given a disabled room last time - plenty of access all over the place - the bathroom wasnt great though and the sink was tiny. Still not sure why they gave me that room...

Lets start with the positives. Breakfast was great, good range and good service. Location is a 2 minute walk from the ICC. Car parking is very convenient and the price is reasonable. Now for the negatives. First room had a few issues so our room was moved, I did not request the move, but the reception staff suggested it. Second room was much bigger. Unfortunately it seemed to be right above the bar area as the music was extremely loud. Myself, my wife or our little baby were unable to sle... Read more

Great location for Brindleyplace restaurants and only a short taxi ride to the City Centre. Parking is limited but plenty of parking just next door in the Brindleyplace car park. We only had breakfast at the hotel but that was excellent and the service was very good too.

I've probably stayed here twenty times in the past two years. The staff is excellent. The rooms are clean but get a lot of use, with business groups in and and out every day. This place is all about the location!!!

This is our 3rd time of staying here, we stayed here before The Hilton Group took over! and we came back as we had an enjoyable stay! We won't be staying here again, no room service,( we were to told by one receptionist that it finished at 10pm! But told the following morning a different receptionist that it wasn't available due to a private function! Which we had gathered ourselves!) We were woken at 3am and 4am by rude guests which have no thought other than themselves with laughing walking to... Read more

Basic room, decent bed, two sockets at pillow side (hurray!), basic amenities, very small bathroom, good size desk. Location: 5 minute walk to NIA and Sainsbury's around the corner. Very noisy on a Saturday night though, the noise (heavy bass and drum) of whatever party was going on downstairs travelled easily to our third floor. Understaffed at front desk at busy check in times on a Saturday and thus also in the morning on the Sunday. It's basically Hilton's budget version, but it was £195 ... Read more

The Hilton Garden Inn at Brindley Place is in an excellent location. Although close to Broad Street it is in a quiet location and right in Brindley Place by the canals with a great selection of bars and restaurants and just a 3 minute walk to the Barclaycard Arena. It has it's own car park but if that is full there is a multi-storey car park just round the corner, literally about 200 yards away. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with comfortable beds and room to move around. The bathroom... Read more
