Stayed here for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Knew it was slightly out of the City Centre but right next to a Tram stop (St Pauls). Checked in online and could choose my room, which i was very impressed with. I usually have quite specific requirements for my room and don't like the automated allocation used in other budget chains these days. This chain appears to be pitched more at the 'Premium Economy' end of the spectrum. The room itself was ideal for my purposes, and appeared nice and clea... Read more

I stay regularly in this hotel for work mainly because of the location. The rooms are typically clean and quite practical. The staff are often very polite and helpful, but also quite frequently meet you with ill-disguised annoyance. The worst two things about this hotel though are the breakfast and the room temperature - the former is reliably stale (I didn't know it was possible to cook tasteless eggs!). Regarding the temperature, several times I would wake up in the middle of the night fre... Read more

My stay at the hotel was very good but a bit disappointed with breakfast. The egg and mash room was not prepared well. I mean the mash room was tast less and the sack was like it gone out of date. There was no orange juice for two days...Also the staff members keep on taking my plates and tray which I left on the table to get a drink. The room was nice but the house keeping needs to do more work when it comes to cleaning because in the bathroom you could still see a bit of dirt after they have f... Read more

I was not keen on the area the hotel was located in as it is near a busy road and the area leaves a lot to be desired, I came across dodgy characters which made me feel unsafe as I was walking around the area on my own and this was during the day. The hotel has a tram station behind it which is convenient for travel to the shopping centre and Birmingham new street train station from where I travelled from this was a relatively easy and straight forward journey as the hotel is easy to find once y... So Hampton by Hilton tends to be thought of as the budget Hilton range, but certainly in the UK most of the Hamptons are pretty new and so good value. Constitution Hill is no exception. First of all its not particularly obvious on the road, I drove past it the first time. There is no onsite parking but just behind the hotel is a pay and display which worked just fine. I arrived mid evening on Sunday and was greeted very warmly and welcomed to the hotel. The receptionist immediately apologised ... Read more

For this price - I'd stay somewhere else. The area is dodgy. The food for breakfast is lacking. Dinner - doesn't even exist. There's pizza. Which you can cross the road into Domino's for, and get a better/quicker one.

Okay so the hotel is not on the best street, but felt safe. Right next door to the St. Paul's metro bus, great service and only 7 mins to grand central £2 return every 8 mins. Sunday's 15 mins. The hotel looks new or at least refurbished. Breakfast okay- for the price what can you expect. Decent selection. Beds comfy, good sized room. Would stay here again.

Hotel ok, breakfast was poor. No restaurant, but excellent restaurants around St. Paul's area. Try the Rectory and the Italian. I left my phone charger in the room, and contacted the hotel after I left and asked to pay for the postage, I thought this was rather tight.

We had to stay 1 night in Birmingham and came across this Hotel. Located near the town centre. We had a 2 double bed room which way very nice, clean and quiet. With all required conveniences (TV, WiFi, shower, fridge, ironing possibility in the room, etc.). The breakfast had a good variety of food (even cheese for sandwiches, what I do not often see in UK-hotels. Thank you). We slept very well. So a good night rest. If needed, we will not hesitate to return.

Lovely clean room, really impressed with the comfy bed and bathroom. Nice idea for shampoo etc dispensers (but I would have liked to take mini bottles home!). Probably not brilliant for children as sliding door to bathroom was very heavy but we liked the feature. The hotel is awkward to find as there is no signage indicating you've arrived @ a Hilton hotel from the outside. Car parking is strange as the machine tells you to display two tickets when you only need one up to 8am (maybe the signs could be changed to reflect that!) The hotel itself was quiet, clean and comfortable. Nice decor and comfy bed and good pillows. Feeling refreshed and ready for my business meeting in the city.

on past experience of stay at Hampton by Hilton City North in Birmingham, I booked 6 days in 2 parts but was disappointed on staff services and behavior. rooms, cleanliness, etc were good as expectation. We ate at Syriana a Syrian/Lebanese restaurant which was an excellent expreience andabout a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Hampton by Hilton have raised the bar in delivering high quality at a budget price. I always try stay in a Hampton, top feature is beds are very comfortable, then very clean rooms, and abundant power sockets, and moreover the best value for money hotel accomodation. Hampton by Hilton is a well thought non pretentious concept and is the Gold standard for this type hotel, there is simply no need for expensive hotels.

The new Birmingham tram goes from directly outside the mainline railway station (New Street) to the hotel via the "Saint Pauls" stop. It's less than a one minute walk from the tram station, so this hotel is very convenient if you arrive in Birmingham by train from elsewhere in the UK. Exactly as the title says. If walking to the location later at night there is little around and it feels somewhat remote. I don't think they had room service and unsure if evening meals are offered. I went to dominos just next door as little other option. Room was nice, iron and hairdryer in room. Comfy bed. Breakfast buffer full English/cereals etc. I stay in Birmingham on a regular basis and think I would go back to staying somewhere more central and compromise a little on qua... Read more

Stayed on a stop over travelling south. The hotel is not too far off the M5 and gets you past the M6/M5 interchange, so good news if travelling south. Rooms are clean, modern and good quality. Food wise I opted for dominos (next door), noticed there is also a wine shop next door, so not too far to go for take aways. Check in staff were nice and helpful however they were not aware of hilton honours benefits etc. and it looks like the hotel don't recognise that side of it... hence only a 4/5. Gre... Read more

Arrived at the hotel quiet late and checked in. Friendly staff which was nice! We asked re a quick bite to eat when we got there and settled for a pizza in the bar. It isn't a luxury hotel but you get what you pay for and this hotel is defiantly value for money. The beds were very comfortable too. Not sure I would return to this particular hotel due to the location.

We hooped on the midland metro to St Paul's and was overjoyed at the hotel being smack band outside it, literally a 30 second walk to reception. Warm welcome, modern inside, easy check in and when opening the door was pleasantly surprised at our room. Spacious, modern, very smart and well equipped. Shower/bathroom facilities great, iron and hairdryer provided too. Sleep quality excellent. Would definitely return :-)

I have stayed here twice in the last few months. Both stays have been fantastic and the hotel has been faultless. Don't be put off by the location. Although slightly out of the way the location is still close to the city centre. Would recommend as an alternative hotel if the Hampton on Broad Street is full.

Everything great. Location, staff, room breakfast, 12 noon checkout. No problems. Buffet breakfast included and very good. Remarkably quiet for near centre of city. Spacious shower. Tram stop nearby and short walk to museums etc. Lots of restaurants in vicinity.

I wasn't sure how my stay was going to be, this being a budget hotel. However - I had a great stay. The man on reception who greeted me was bursting with positivity and enthusiasm. My room was clean and modern. The shower was powerful and hot. I loved having mugs (not tiny cups) in the room with a kettle. The TV worked perfectly. The room is small but that was fine for me. I had a cosy and relaxing stay. This hotel is obviously new. I hope the management retain its bright, clean and modern look ... Read more

Never ever ever would I stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. Absolutely lovely looking with very smart and clean bedrooms and bathrooms but as for the way it is ran and the staff that work there... absolutely disgraceful. I visited this hotel with a group of my friends. It was my friends birthday so we were being a bit noisy. The security guards came and knocked on the door to "give us a warning" for the noise... totally understandable. However they didn't give us a ... Read more

Absolute disgrace. Went for a friends birthday and instead of being asked to make less noise which we would quite happily have done we received a barrage of abuse from two male security guards who told us to leave the hotel immediately with no opportunity to go back to the room to collect our belongings. When we asked if we could collect the belongings of one member of the group who had a heart condition and epilepsy for which she needed medication we were told 'it's not our problem, we don't ca... Everything positive that other reviewers have said about standard of room and friendliness of staff I agree with. Cannot fault for the price. However we had virtually no sleep due to noise of other guests. We chose this hotel as our 20 year old son could share a room with us, many other budget hotels only allow up to 16 year olds to share. This is the problem, the hotel attracts families but also large groups celebrating hen parties, birthdays etc... We were repeatedly woken up by load drunken g... Read more

I've not stayed at a Hampton hotel before. It may be Hilton's budget brand but it beats some normal Hiltons I've stayed at. Room was great - lots of mirrors to give a spacious feel, very quiet and air conditioned. Clever hotel design with central light well to give light and airy rooms whilst avoiding traffic noise by putting corridor against the main road. Great breakfast, not quite Premier Inn standard, but fantastic considering it is included in the room price. Hotel is just outside city cent... Read more

Hampton inns are not flash hotels, but they tick all the boxes. Clean room with good facilities, good breakfast & reception.
