Stayed for two nights for business. At check-in my HHonrs Diamond status was instantly recognised and I was upgraded to a suite all without having to ask, very nice. The room was very well appointed and extremely comfortable, it also happened to have the best air conditioning that I have experienced in a hotel so top marks for this. Breakfast was of a high standard, although as I find with all Hilton Hotels the lack of Black Pudding with a ??Full English?? breakfast is disappointing. The ho... Read more

This Hotel is well located and has a great rooftop bar to relax in. The room I had on the 6th Floor was comfortable and great value for money. Being a regular of the 5 Star Grange Hotel just around the corner I thought the Doubletree compared reasonably well.

5 day stay. 1st impressions - you're not welcome. Parking protocol bizarre - approach barrier / ask to be let in. No. Go and park car. Then check in. Then we will let you in car park. You then have option to (illegally) reverse back down street to hotel. Or drive round London again. Then check in, and be allowed access to car park. Spoke to manager - was told this was an insurance issue - funny it's not an issue for any other hotel/hilton. As a Diamond Hilton Honors member, there was no benefi... Read more

The Hilton is very well situated for exploring central London and very close to the business sectors. I found the service and the staff to be very friendly and efficient. And although it is not cheep- it is what you would expect for this type of hotel in this area- If you book through a service like Booking.co I find you can get a good saving. On the roof they have the SkyBar which although quite expensive is a real experience and has great views and a good atmosphere

I had the pleasure of staying 1 night at the Doubletree Tower of London in late May. Our check-in was smooth and speedy. At the time of check-in we upgraded to an executive room (newly renovated) and requested they divide the bed into 2 beds each with its own bedding. They took care of that immediately while we enjoyed a late dinner. The room was beautiful. Freshly renovated. Modern, clean. It was a smaller size room compared to North American prices/rooms but for anyone familiar with how smal... Read more

I chose this hotel because of it's location & catered towards the business crowd and offered amenities which I was looking for. My daughter is a Gold Hilton member so we were lucky to be upgrade to a suite as well as having access the Business lounge which provided breakfast and hot & cold appetizers in the evening along with assorted beverages. The business lounge was great to stop in after a long day of sight seeing for a bit of refreshments. The suite consists of a livingroom with sofa and... Read more

We have stayed in this hotel for a few years now and it just seems to keep getting better. If you hit it on a day when its prices are sub £200, I would say you'd be hard pressed to find better value in London. The rooms are a bit small unless you opt for an upgrade, but they are well equipped and quiet. The layout of the breakfast area has been significantly improved by someone recently and whoever they are, they deserve to be congratulated. The staff are always superb - especially our old ... Second time i go to this hotel in London. I liked it also. Good wifi connection in the room. Room was not bad not special it was good. Sky lounge was nice good terrace to drink some thing. The cookie i received was hot. I still dont understand how hot the cookie was. Parking is a bit expensive 1 day 30 Pound. The breakfast also expensive it was nothing special. But the service was good. Subway station nearby was positive. At the reception very helpful.

Great hotel in a nice location in London. We stayed in the Executive Suite, which gives you access to the Executive Lounge. It's certainly worth upgrading to get the benefits that the Lounge offers. The only issue I had with my stay was the size of the room, although the room itself was excellent!

The hotel is very modern in a great location. The rooftop bar is excellent and on a warm sunny day, it is a great place to be. Unfortunately the bar gets very busy of an evening and it is difficult to get a seat outside. There are queues for breakfast, sometimes long, which can be avoided if you pay a supplement for the Lounge. When we checked in, we specifically asked what time food was served until, late evening. We were told that food was served, tapas style in the sky bar until midnight. Thi... Read more

A modern hotel located a minutes walkfrom Tower Hill tube station. Nice big airy reception area and a stunning 12th floor sky lounge bar with amazing views across London landmarks. Note that drinks in that bar cost a lot more than those at the ground floor bar. Located at marble Arch, it has easy access to the metro and the major shopping streets nearby. As you would expect the bedrooms are small but they are clean and well serviced. Staff are helpful and informative on all matters in relation to sightseeing. I checked in about 9.30pm, the check in desk was slow and I was surprised to be asked for my passport , having only travelled from Stoke to London I didn't have my passport which the receptionist seemed bemused by. The hotel is clean and spacious. The rooms are the same. They provide complimentary warm cookies when you arrive and replenish free water and tea once used. The facilities in the room are good, great shower and every room has an iMac to watch TV or use the internet. Breakfast was amazing, the food was great and couldn't fault it. The service was friendly and welcoming. Great location as it is round the corner from Tower Hill tube station. Would happily stay here again and highly recommend.

Great service and location for a business traveler. The only minor drawback in the King Guest room was that there was an iMac serving as a tv, but besides that I can highly recommend the hotel. I would love to come back.

Stayed here for our first vacation in London. The hotel is situated close to the Tower Hill Tube station making all the sites easily accessible. The hotel itself has been recently updated and is done nicely. The staff were amazing. The guest services desk was very helpful with tickets, and even telling us the best times to go to some of the sites. The views from the rooftop bar were amazing! I would stay here again. Was a wonderful experience.

Due to its excellent location, friendly and prompt service, clean rooms and modern style this Double Tree is my top pick when in London! Sure, the rooms are small and the price too high (I usually pay over GBP 300 per night) but I never got disappointed. Tip: don't miss the rooftop bar as it is one of the best in town and truly 'happening' in the summer!

Towards the end of our UK tour we stayed for three nights in this hotel. The hotel facade is nice although the view is blocked by surrounding buildings. The location of this hotel is great and it is within walking distance to the Tower Of London, and with the Tube you can access the whole of London. The breakfast is excellent with wide selection. The room is quite modern I can say. I liked it!

The first thing to comment on is the location, it is very close to Tower Hill tube station so an ideal base for exploring London. The hotel is modern and our standard room was very nice. Tea and coffee facilities, a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was of a good size and the shower impressively powerful and the bed very comfortable. Stayed in two interconnecting rooms. One happened to be an accessible room (even though we did not need or request this). The bed in this room was far too soft. The bathroom was a decent size though. The bed in the other room was fine but the shower room was absolutely tiny! We were on the 2nd floor, although facing into the atrium, so no traffic noise at all. Just the usual inconsiderate guests slamming doors at 1am :) Good choice at breakfast. Friendly staff. Great location for Tower of ... Read more

The alarm bells first rang at check-in, when I was asked to present photo ID. Really? A UK citizen checking into a UK hotel? When did photo ID become a requirement? So I go along with it, and luckily I have my driving licence to hand. Then, that evening I decide to eat in the "Natural Kitchen" restaurant on the ground floor. More alarm bells should have rung when I see the sign saying "If you want to charge the bill to your room, you need your key card, envelope, and photo ID". What the hell? I ... Read more

Third time I have stayed here this year, the rooftop bar is a real winner and it's only a few hundred yards from Tower Gateway tube so DLR from LCY is easy. And you can walk to some City addresses from here. The only real problem is that the rooms are tiny and it's pretty expensive, rarely is there a decent rate with breakfast included.

Standard rooms for a DoubleTree (not too big but very comfortable) and loved the Skylounge on the roof with awesome views and an impressive selection of house cocktails.
