Check in was really nice and fast. Hotel is in nice area, calm and green. Not far from center 20 min by foot. Room is quiet large, very convenient, fast wifi and very convenient. But room was a bit cold specially bathroom, and hotel in general need some renovation, specially the exterior facade. It was not possible to print flight ticket from reception, a bit pity when you paid 57£ for one single night, that they charge 30 cents for printing...... Pity it s last opinion i ll remember from this ... Read more

We came with friend to stay and celebrate New Year's Eve. The staff were very helpful and hard working. Our only disappointment was the bedroom, which was small and somewhat outdated. The room however was clean . Our 3 course meal was excellent and washed down with an inclusive glass of bubbly. The evening was rounded off with entertainment and dancing to a very enjoyable duo. Overall the package was good value, only to be let down a little by the accomodation.

I travel to Belfast frequently on business and thought I would try this one out as it was close to my morning meeting....wish I had not. I went for a superior double room, but it was not superior in any way.... extremely dated room, and a bathroom that was very poorly put together. For example the basin tap only function on extremes, cold or scalding hot. The loo paper is dispensed in a plastic box (like you get in a cheap nightclub) but worst, it is housed next to the bath so water obviously ... Read more

We spent a lovely, relaxing few days here after Christmas. The staff are very helpful and the location is great. The tour bus operators will collect you from reception and the museum is a five minute walk away. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast varied and plentiful. The carpet in the foyer has seen better days but for good old fashioned, value for money, hospitality, The Welly is hard to beat.

My family booked a five course carvery for Boxing Day. Really good value for £19.50 per person. Food was very nice. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere in the restaurant with plenty of people there for the carvery. There was also entertainment in the bar area afterwards. He played from 5-7 and then returned again after 9. Really good singer with a repertoire of songs. Really enjoyable day.

I stayed here overnight the reception went well, I had arrived early and I was informed I could get into my room early in an hours time , I went for a walk and my room was ready when I returned. I was on the first floor in a nice big room, flat screen telly, free wifi, good storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, comfy bed but the bathroom and particularly the shower needs some updating. The shower head looked cheap, was leaking and it was difficult to get the temp... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for a night so I could have an interview at the US embassy the next morning. I pre booked a taxi to take me to the embassy first thing in the morning through the hotel which was late. Hannah the receptionist rang the taxi company several times to ask where it was and every time they said it will arrive in a few minutes which it didn't so while waiting outside Hannah took it upon herself to get a member of staff to take me to the embassy so I wasn't late for my appointment f... I was here as one of the organisers of a 5 day conference. First of all let me say the conference staff are the best I've ever come across. Lindsey the conference manager was always willing to accommodate our changes and Bert - well Bert was a God send. He was just amazing ensuring our rooms were ready each day, supplying all of our IT needs and keeping us stocked up with tea, coffee and biscuits. Now to the bedrooms - large triple, comfortable, warm rooms. Everything you needed was available.... Read more

I spent a night in the hotel for work and I have to say that it has the most professional and welcoming staff! The service was great and the bar serves a reasonably priced dinner menu. However, my room was less than average, the bed was uncomfortable and the heat was either too hot or freezing I'm not sure what setting it was working from? The room itself was on the third floor and I couldn't sleep AT ALL with the loud noise from the hotels boiler system outside. It was awful having to get up at... Read more

This hotel (facilities) has something which interested us, when stayed just one night during our Ireland trip. It's located at near University, told as in the heart of city Belfast. Even it has several levels, large terrace area, combined into neighbor buildings (incl other restaurants etc) it has kept easy to go also for those who use wheel chairs etc. Staff was very polite, arranged your wishes, taxis etc. Unfortunately in our room was some problem with bathroom (today only shower), water was ...
