This is a good hotel but seems to be pretty well run. The staff are nice, but they are not as attentive as other hotels we have stayed at during our trip in Ireland. The rooms are very clean. It is not a good location if you're planning to spend much time in the heart of the city.

We were a party of 21 on a bowling tour to Belfast from South Devon. We found such warmth and hospitality there; the Wellington Park was no exception. The rooms were spacious with different configurations - some more modern than others. My hanging space could have been better and the bulb in desk lamp was missing; limescale around bath taps and plughole; nothing too serious though. The food and staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Location was excellent - very near the Botanica... Read more

I stayed here on business for one night with colleagues. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but very hot during the night (during May) and you couldn't open the windows much. There's no air conditioning. I found the temperature control on the shower almost impossible to get right between boiling and cold! The bar staff were pleasant, but the waiting staff in the restaurant for breakfast were poor. I stood waiting to give my room number at the desk, and while many of them saw me, nobody ca... Read more

Nice hotel and clean. Very well staffed and very polite servers in bar and restaurant who are a credit to the owners. Food is OK certainly wouldn't be returning considering the many other quality restaurants near by. Hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Irish Breakfast was delicious a part from the milk we were given for coffee and cereal which was a few day out of date (which we consumed in coffee before noticing in cereal) this was quickly rectified with fresher milk being brought to us.

Used the hotel a few times over six months or so for work. Got upgraded once, but even the standard rooms that were booked normally through work were absolutely fine, clean, everything you need. Breakfast good and plentiful. Staff available, polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned home after spending 10 nights at the above hotel. The hotel was an ideal location for us with some great places to visit on your doorstep. Our room was a good size at the rear of the hotel and a high standard of cleanliness was maintained throughout our stay. During our stay the weather was very warm and at times the room became very hot, as we were able to fully open the bedroom window this solved the problem. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide choice of ... Read more

We stayed here 10 years ago. Not much had changed. We booked a mid week twin room for which you get bed and breakfast and evening meal in the Wellie Bar and Grill. We were a little early arriving but our room was ready which was a bonus. The room was large with a King Size bed and a single bed. However, there was only one chair was not very convenient for 2 people. The bathroom was quite small. The fitments looked a bit dated and could do with replacing. The shower was over the bath but... While this hotel appears to have been quite nice at one time, it is currently undergoing some reconstruction. The rooms look like they are in the midst of some changes; was a little strange to enter a dark hallway before the motion detection lights would engage. We spent 2 nights here and the first night was very uncomfortable; room was closed up tight, was very warm and with no fan or air conditioning, it took awhile for the stuffiness to abate. The conference area was hosting a party of so... Read more

It's been two year since I last visited this hotel, and it was better than I remembered it. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with a pleasant bathroom. The only downside is the boring view over the carpark, and my room was a bit too hot and I had to open the window. The breakfast is always good, with an ample selection, with poached eggs (if you ask). This hotel is very convenient for the University, and is a pleasant place to stay.

A friend and I stayed here for one night in a twin room. The room and bathroom were clean with tea making facilities. However the beds were so uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress and whenever you turned in the small single bed the mattress and base of the bed made a lot of noise. Very difficult to sleep. On checkout we were not asked how was our stay so we mentioned that the mattresses needed to be replaced. He did not express any concern. Breakfast buffet in the mornin... Read more

Stayed one night at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room a decent size. The breakfast is really good. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the dirt on the kettle in the room for making hot drinks - it was caked in filth. The curtains also had dirt on them and the showeroom had dirt on the back of the door. Apart from that, all the staff were pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed the atmosphere despite work going on out the front.

We had lunch in the Bar area with our granddaughter who wanted to see the Mummy in the nearby Ulster Museum. Bar staff both attentive and friendly. Bucket of spicy Chicken Wings, Chicken sandwich and KIds fish fingers washed down with water an a glass of wine. Had our visit to the Mummy and returned to pay £2 for parking on production of lunch receipt. Great option for an area where parkin spaces are like hen's teeth.

Does what it says on the tin. Clean well equipped rooms although alittle tired decor and very helpful staff. I wasn't impressed with the work men digging up the road at 6am outside my window on my first night stay. Better the second night. Would use again for business trips not leisure. Restaurant didn't have an extensive menu but was sufficient. Close to amenities and other restaurants

For business it seems a bit shy, but giving the good location and comfortable bed, it would be worth to use for leisure trips. The parking facility is very useful as well, it gives the option to walk down to the local areas, which are normally busy for parking.

This isn't a bad place to stay. It's a convenient location just south of Belfast in the Queens quarter. It's a 15min walk to the centre. Average rooms with the usual facilities. The lobby has plenty of comfortable seating and a reasonably priced bar. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We noticed several locals arriving Sunday booking in for lunch, so we can only assume the lunch is just as good as the breakfast. Would stay again if we were in the area.

We booked into the "Wellie" because the two Dunmurry hotels - the Beechlawn House and the Balmoral were fully booked for a wedding. Our difficulty in finding the hotel was down to the deficiencies of my operation of the GPS which sent us to the Malone golf club instead of Malone road, but that was sorted by a kind gentleman from the club who guided us to our destination.
