I don't normally leave reviews but I have to for this hotel. It was a couple of weeks ago now when I found myself in an absolute nightmare of a situation. Basically, I had missed my flight and was at the Belfast Bus Station wondering what to do. This was at about 10pm at night and so I went to the Travelodge to see if they had any rooms at all because it is very nearby. The idiot that I am had also lost my bank card. When I got there I asked for a room but said I don't have any way of paying oth... Read more

Hotel was perfectly fine, but our room had a smell of smoking! Receptionist very helpful and we were immediately allocated another room. This one overlooked the main street, so was noisy at night, as is opposite a very nice bar. Be aware of these things when booking.

Don't bother!! Location ok everything else down hill from there! Double room only one plug in the whole room!! Now surely most people have a phone each that needs charging overnight?? In serious need of a make over!!! On the third floor boiling hot even tho radiator isn't on! Very disappointed to say the least!! Wouldn't be so bothered if it was actually cheap!

Stayed in a room on the third floor; the room was so hot that it was almost impossible to sleep. The window (see attached photo) only opened very slightly so there was no means of cooling the room down, no air con either. I had the most uncomfortable night's sleep I have ever experienced at a hotel - even budget hostels I have stayed at in the past were better. To make matters worse at about 4am there was a group of screaming and giggling girls running up and down the corridor outside our room... Read more

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was really rather good. Unfortunately these are the only good points. The room was small, with a small desk, plastic chair and a small open wardrobe. All the furniture has seen better days. There is a small wall-mounted TV and a kettle. The carpet was in awful condition with ground-in dirt. I spoke to someone else who was staying at the hotel, asking them what they thought of it - and their first comment was on the state of their car... Read more

I had quite a comfortable stay here. The hotel is in a perfect location for seeing as much of Belfast as possible within walking distance. It's also across the street from a Michelin star restaurant, Love Fish and Meat Locker (both excellent) and a really terrific cocktail bar! Carpet in room was very tired although bathroom and bed seemed to have been updated. Room as very hot with windows shut and although I was given a fan the positioning of the power sockets meant the fan had no relevance. The hotel is being upgraded at the moment. 10/2016 and my room was not quite complete ( bathroom door needed painting and floor edge seal missing -very minor) but it was still excellent. Everything clean and tidy and working well. Modern shower room. Beds ultra comfortable. Very quiet as not on a main street. Lifts to all floors. Reception staff a delight and very helpful.

If, like me, you grew up during a time when Belfast was rarely out of the news and for all the wrong reasons, you may feel a wee bit apprehensive about booking a trip to this beautiful city. Don't! It is, without a shadow of a doubt one of the friendliest cities we have been to. It has an almost small-town feel about it; everyone says hello or good morning, nothing is too much trouble for cafe or shop workers and the places to eat are out of this world. We stayed in a Travelodge that couldn't ha... Read more

If you call a 12'x9' room with a small double bed and two small singles jammed in, a family room then THIS is the hotel for you. The corridor resembles a prison row. The bathroom is small and the dirty ceiling tiles set this cell off perfectly.

Stayed for one night and believe me it was enough. Went to check out and was asked was it myself and my friends making the noise last night? When I said it wasn't us the guy on reception said it was us, I was disgusted with his attitude and certainly won't be back.

A very clean and welcoming hotel with very clean and tidy rooms. If you have a small budget this is the place to stay in the centre of the city.Staff were friendly and full of knowledge of the things to do in the city.

Stayed here for 4 nights and was extremely pleased with the hotel. It's in a great location for city centre, great value for money as provided everything needed for a very comfortable stay for a short break away with my partner. Will be good to see once refurb is complete.

This is a low budget hotel, however it is in the middle of renovation and rooms are in some dis repair. They still use old fashion keys and I found they stick. I hope they move to a card key after renovations.

Having stayed in many Premier Inns, I decided to try a Travel Lodge but was disappointed at the quality of the rooms and breakfast. It did not come up to the same Quality as Premier Inns, yet the price was very similar.

A very central travelodge, close to everything. The room was clean, but currently being updated. The staff were really friendly and helped with advising of places to eat. I think it will be a good place to stay when it is re-furbished.

Very central location within easy walking distance of centre of Belfast. Comfortable but small room with very comfortable beds. Was a bit noisy in the evening with traffic and people leaving nearby pubs and clubs, but not to extent that it prevented sleep. Bathroom had bath and over bath shower, plenty of towels and shower gel/soap dispensers. Again smallish space but adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful and reception staffed 24/7. Simple - we needed a reasonable, safe, clean hotel to stay at while in Belfast for an Irish dance competition. One week. Wanted the option of breakfast. Exactly what we needed, we got. Clean rooms. Quiet. Did have loud neighbors one night; staff took care of it. Hot shower. Friendly helpful staff when we needed parking info, directions, or recommendations. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Bare bones, but what else do you need?

Fantastic location, couldn't be better. Staff friendly and helpful too. However, we found dirty socks in our bedroom and the bathroom was dirty (toilet had not been cleaned, or in fact flushed!). Staff removed the socks after reporting the issue and gave us their apologies. Disappointed as the room was £120 for one night, and now I realise I could have stayed somewhere cleaner and, in my opinion, better.

Very happy with stay .... Reception staff very helpful and friendly.. Room was clean and comfortable..... We didn't use food facilities... We didn't realise there was any on site...we were late arriving and we were rushing to go to concert so we hadn't much time to find out... And staff were trying to get us a taxi so we probably had them flustered that they forgot to tell us....

We had planned to attend an event in Belfast and needed to stay in the city for 5 days. When we went to book almost everywhere was full up, this was the only place available for a decent price and if I could go back in time I would of paid a hell of a lot more to book a better hotel. Having stayed at travelodges before I didn't look at reviews as I expected a certain basic standard but boy was I wrong ! The hotel is extremely tired and dated, pipe work is exposed and the walls are paper thin !... Read more

Generally room was okay for a budget hotel. Disappointed that heating in room was not working on arrival and took a few hours to be resolved. Hotel was clean but shabby maintenance in areas e.g doors, main door handle, general. ( For the room) Main doors bang when shutting.

The hotel was very unclean - dirty ceilings, marks on the walls, dirty carpet, dirty toilet, dirty mirrors. The reception area was very outdated and unwelcoming. I was barely spoken to upon checking out. The noise was ridiculous - I even heard the people in the room above me using the toilet on several occasions! Then there was noise from the corridor and from a bar near the hotel. Also nowhere in the room to store belongings - only a small area to hang clothes (not helpful when you have stuff t... Read more

This hotel is typical of the brand with the exception of the welcome. The staff are friendly, helpful and never too busy to help. The room was clean and fresh, although as I was at the back of the hotel the view could have been better. However that aside it was a pleasant, quiet stay.

I loved the location. The cost was reasonable and the hotel was very suitable for a short break. The twin room was small but attractive. The only drawback was the lack of a hairdryer. The restaurant was satisfactory. I had a fish dish on the first evening which was very good but needed a side dish which was not clear. On the second evening the portion size was adequate but the duck, which was very plentiful, was a bit tough.

booked this hotel last minute for one night via booking.com. price for twin room on sunday was £54 that was as good as it gets. As other guests have stated, there is a building site right across the road and we also had one opposite our room and in the hallway. The hotel is being refurbished which they fail to inform you of on the website. Had no sleep and ended up being forced out of room despite having a 12pm check out. This hotel is in need of an upgrade. Everything is in sickly baby blue. The rooms are unbearably hot without an option to change. My bathroom had nails banged into every space and hadn't been painted in years - sealant placed over every crack and the walls plastered with years of abuse covered over with a lick of paint. Whilst clean, everything feels horrible out of date. Noise is a big problem. At the weekends, the din of late night drinkers spills in from the drinking crowd on the streets, and... Read more

It was difficult to find a reasonably priced hotel in Belfast so close to Christmas. I managed to gey a room here via Trivago, later finding out my booking had been made via a 3rd party company based in Palma, Mallorca. I double checked with the hotel a few weeks before the stay and they confirmed straight away that my booking had came through. The hotel was fine - comfortable beds, friendly staff, great location.
