Although it is not located in the city center, it only takes 10 minutes walking to it. The hotel is up-to-date or modern, the rooms have all you may need ??besides, were really comfortable?? and the bathroom has shampoo and shower gel. There's a bar near the lobby where you have breakfast in the morning. They also have parking lot ??this is one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. The staff, in general, were really kind... So it's a good option for the price you pay.

Perfect location for me as I did not want to be in the middle of bath town centre.A 5 -10 minute walk takes you into Bath. The friendly helpful staff will do their utmost to help in any way they can. Healthy breakfast is always on hand after a comfortable nights sleep in the recently refurbished rooms. I will definetly be returning to this lovely hotel.

Stayed 1 night when visiting my daughter. We asked if a quiet room (other side of hotel from roads) was available, and were giving a third floor room if we didn't mind using the stairs as the lift wasn't working. No problem for us, and our room overlooked the neighbouring school field - completely quiet on the weekend, and this made it much more relaxed-feeling. It was lovely to open the curtains to green space. Clean, very well-designed room making best use of available space. Great locati... Read more

HI express was nice but the elevator was broke and we don't do stairs well. Check in was easy but my Spire membership was not recognized so I had to come back down the stairs and speak to another Deskclerk Room was clean and had USB chargers for both of us. Breakfast was plentiful. I wish they would Brew coffee. We would stay again if elevator was working.

Stayed for 3 nights with our 2 teenage daughters in a std room with sofa bed. Whilst the room was a squeeze for 4 of us, it would have been more than ample for 2. A very comfortable bed and large shower room and nice decor. Breakfast was busy but gave a reasonable choice. The ten minute walk into town was worth it for the free parking we enjoyed. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

I have just spent 2 nights in this modern hotel, located on the outer ring of Bath city centre - my experience was extremely pleasant. You can walk into Bath city centre in under 10 minutes. The hotel has comprehensive facilities, (except a safe in the room), excellent wifi connection (free), extensive buffet breakfast, a bar, quiet rooms, comfy beds and very helpful, friendly staff. We loved our stay for the bank holiday weekend. Beds were comfortable, location was perfect, bar was open until 1am, breakfast was good, and most importantly...the staff was amazing!! The only negative thing I can say is that our beds were made every day, which is wonderful, but we expected clean sheets each time, only to fold back the duvet and see my socks still in the bed. Why make the bed if you're not going to thoroughly clean it? Also, we stayed for 3 nights and left dirty towels on the fl... Read more

This hotel is ideally placed for a visit to Bath. There is ample car parking and it is a short and a fairly pleasant walk to the town centre. We had an inauspicious start to our visit. We had endured an arduous journey after a visit to France and the first problem I had was I clattered the underside of my car on a ridiculous speed bump on the right hand side of the hotel. The paint, chips and scores on this obstacle indicate that I was not the first to hit it. With my car empty of people an... Read more

The Bath Holiday Inn Express is a modern air conditioned hotel, the staff are pleasant and very efficient. My room was very clean, it was supplied with an iron and ironing board- perfect for post flight crease elimination. Breakfast was quite extensive, though I do prefer my bacon properly cooked and not flaccid. The sausages were excellent as was the provision of both Marmite and Nutella, a five star candidate in my book. So, why only four out of five? I consider it to be very overpriced £266.... Read more

We got there at the right time and had a leisurely breakfast but it got busier later towards the end of breakfast time. The only downside was the mattress was too firm so had a p... Read more

What a great brithday treat .2days in bath and this HI made it special . Staff could not do enough for you .Rooms were excellent and I could not find fault with anything . Bath is a nightmare for parking so we left the car in the secure car park and walked into the centre of bath , just 10/15 mins .When we return to Bath we will not hesitate in staying at this HI again .

We stayed for one night en route to Edinburgh as we had to get an early train from Bath. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre if you don't have heavy cases, although we got a taxi for about £6 or £7 from the train station. It is on a busy road but we didn't hear the traffic noise from our room. Check in was friendly and efficient and our room was lovely- really clean and recently refurbished. I was very pleasantly surprised. The bathroom facilities were good too, with ... Read more

Stayed in this hotel with a group of 8 of us for a weekend in Bath. It was perfect, very clean place excellent rooms that had a high Standard of furniture and good flat screen TV, great shower and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. The place looks brand new! Best of all ample free parking which is an absolute rarity in Bath. It's very near the centre it's actually about an 8 minute walk as you go through the retail park opposite which brings you out about 2 minutes from Bath centre. Breakfast was s... Read more

Recently stayed here overnight whilst visiting Bath. The hotel is clean throughout and very modern, The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although not situated directly in the centre of Bath, it is only a short 5/10 minute walk away. We always prefer to stay just outside of city centres for a little more peace and quiet. Free parking is a huge bonus when it comes to staying in Bath, which this hotel provides. There is a Sainsbury's just over the road as are one or two local restaurants. The ... Read more

There are some pretty shonky hotels in Bath, with sash windows overlooking main-roads providing no noise exclusion or insulation, but this is not one of them. The room was comfortable and almost silent. It's not a great location for the city, but perfectly walkable. I also resent paying that much money for what is a budget hotel, but this is Bath where supply and demand for hotel rooms keeps the prices high.

This is the fourth Holiday Inn express my wife and I stayed in, on this trip. It ranks as last in terms of satisfaction with the room. First, it was a very tiny room. I can deal with that, I know you sacrifice space for $$ with the Express brand. The room was clean. But, this room was just beat up. Yes it had modern amenities, but little things, like a light that mysteriously turned on and off randomly. A tiny cubby with just a short bar to hang your clothes, collapsed when we put clothes on th... Read more

Accommodation very good, clean and comfortable. We had a room next to the lift on 2nd floor and were worried about noise from the lift, but heard nothing. Very quiet. Our friends opposite though had noisy neighbours who troubled them a bit and woke them up very early. Breakfast was fine, more than we expected and service good. Parking was a real bonus although lucky to get a spot. We loved the natty door arrangement in the bathroom meaning the loo was private if someone else was in the bathr... Read more

Arrived early on a Sunday so parking not a problem but did notice later in the day that people were double parked. Hotel lovely and clean and very spacious bedroom. Breakfast - food lovely but very chaotic. Long queue for a table and although staff working very hard to clear tables quickly there just wasn't enough room for everyone. Hotel is in a good location with an easy 10 min walk into the centre of Bath. Would definitely visit again.

This is the second time inside a month we came back to this Holiday Inn Express, which was our first experience with this chain. The room was clean and fitted a Queen as well as a double size sofa bed, which were both extremely comfortable. Quiet room which impressed me as it was nearest reception. Air conditioner a little over-zealous, but can be switched off. I can't praise the staff highly enough, and they are are the reason we came back here. Great location for exploring bath. Staff extremely friendly. Rooms are very clean and contain everything you need. Breakfast was better than I expected. The mint room Indian restaurant opposite was exceptional. Best to leave cat in car park and explore bath on foot. Receptionist the gave free map and showed us how to where we were and way into bath which was 10-15 minute walk. I can't fault the hotel and look forward to staying there again in near future.

We stayed for one night at the hotel. I've stayed at a few express hotels and have to say was very impressed with this one. They do mention that they have limited parking at the hotel but whilst busy we did find a space easily. The business room was modern, clean and warm with a good sized shower and a pretty comfortable king size bed. They also supply shower gels and hand soaps which was handy. The room did also have a/c + heating. The good sized tv had a load of channels which was also great. ... Read more

The room was excellent, very clean and well equipped. The only issue with the stay was the rather basic cooked breakfast options, but not a deal breaker by any stretch. I'd get there a little early as the car park was rather packed after check in. The centre of Bath is about a 10-15 minute walk. Or about £6-9 in a taxi.

We chose this hotel for a two night break. For a "budget" hotel, it is terrific and exceeded our expectations. It has the significant benefit, (for a hotel just 10 minutes walk from Bath City Centre) of a large carpark. This initially was a key to us deciding to stay. Our reception was efficient, welcoming and friendly. The room; clean, warm, comfortable and well designed. My wife and I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Bath for one night on one of our regular theatre trips.
