This is the 8th consecutive year that we have filled this hotel, and that includes not just the main function room, but the bedrooms too. 10 out of 10 to the chef, and the events team for all of their hard work. Recommended DJ was also very good. Well done Karen!

We stayed here for 2 nights recently. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and this continued through the rest of our stay. We did not see one unhappy face throughout the stay. Service excellent and carried out with a smile. We will definitely return to the Ashford International again, especially as it is situated in easy reach of t... Read more

Few people using this hotel are likely to stay for long. It's conveniently located for the road network (less so for the railway station, which is a taxi ride away) and does what you'd expect of a business/conference/wedding location. The restaurant is good and there's a bar offering lighter bites if you don't want to go the whole hog/expense. The rooms are quiet and the bed comfy. If, like us, you were passing through or waiting to be collected, it does the job.

As a regular visitor of q hotel spa breaks we were looking forward to a relaxing break. The spa was busy but as usual treatments were fab. The room was ok and comfortable. Dinner - well we waited 45 minutes for our starter, as did everyone. No explanation or excuses. When we finally got our desserts I was surprised to find a snail in my mint garnish! The excuse the duty manager gave me was its home grown mint and they do t wash it to save the flavour!!!!!!! We were then offered coffees which to... Read more

They must have changed chefs since the "good food" reviews were written. My companion and I actually sent dinner back one night: the "vegetable stir fry" was nothing but cooked noodles w no veggies. There were other disappointments too, both in the food and in general. For example, the toilet didn't always work, the room darkening curtains didn't fit the Windows very well, the room decor was Las Vegas electric rather than restful. In all, disappointing.

Checked into this hotel for overnight stay bed and breakfast over the May bank holiday weekend. Reception staff were polite, professional and very helpful. We stayed in one of the standard double rooms and the bed was very comfortable. Room was clean, modern and spacious with seating area for chairs and small table, perfect for our breakfast the following morning. The only thing missing in the room was a fridge.

Our party consisted of Granny, Mum, Dad and four children aged 8, 5 and 3 and 3. We stayed for two nights and found it very child friendly: Activity Packs for Under-12s, Children's Splash times in the swimming pool and a Children's Play Room with toys. We had two interconnecting rooms for Mum, Dad and the children. Granny had a double room next door. The carpet etc was a little tired but no issues, all was clean and fine. Location - very close to M20 so easy for both tunnel and Dover Port. Nearby cinema and restaurants etc which we used in the afternoon before. Spa/Pool - this is just ok, the jacuzzi is very small and not hot, the pool is ok and does have a lane section without children... Read more

This hotel offers fine dining as well as facilities for conferences, meetings or staff get togethers. The hotel presents itself well and had a bar which is open until the early hours. The hotel is located next to a sainsburys supermarket which is very handy should you have forgotten something for your stay. The rooms are modern, but you can easily hear people walking through the corridors which can be disruptive to your sleep! (Hence the lower score!). I have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate o... I've visited this hotel on numerous occasions as a day visitor and today after a shopping trip I took my Mum there for afternoon tea. We sat in the lobby area which is a very wide concourse that runs the length of the building furnished with extremely comfortable chairs, tables, sofas etc. broken up into separate areas with the clever use of screens and sculptures, decorated in a contemporary luxury style. The food was delicious and extremely plentiful and the value for money was excellent. The ... Read more

Currently holidaying in France my friend and I, at the start of our journey decided to drive to Ashford and spend a night close to the tunnel! Having stayed at the Ashford International on a previous trip and knowing dogs were permitted I booked a twin room. Located on the ground floor - great easy access for the dogs! Our room was clean and functional. We drank and ate in the bar and breakfast was included in the price so we ensured we had a good start to our day! Good things - location f... Read more

Had to cancel a spa break due to a bereavement in the family, but was told flat out we could not cancel or amend the booking because it was a spa package, not only would we lose our deposit but the full amount was still payable. On top of everything else I was just shocked with the poor customer service and the company's greed. As the booking was from June its hard enough to plan ahead, so be careful when booking with Qhotels.

We have stayed here twice on our way to Disneyland Paris. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly enough and the food is pleasant. Only 10 mins by car to Ashford International, perfect! We had a few issues on moving our booking, from a rude customer service person, but this was dealt with and we were told that by way of an apology there would be age appropriate gifts in the room for our children. These weren't there. Slightly disappointing, but not enough to ruin our stay. This is the hotel we wo... Read more

We stayed for one Saturday night. Check in was efficient and courteous. Room was acceptable but housekeeping could have done a better job in terms of removing some of the dust! Everything in the room worked. Buffet breakfast in the morning was reasonable but lacked my obligatory grapefruit juice to start the day. Check out was smooth. Would we stay again - yes when in the area.

Stayed here for a night after a company conference. The hotel is easy to find and well placed. All the staff I came across were polite and efficient. We had dinner in the evening, which despite it being served up to about 60 of us, was the best quality food I'd had in these circumstances. The starter of beetroot and goats cheese was perfect, followed by a nice bit of steak and a lovely pudding. The room was comfortable (yes the colours are dated now) but clean and welcoming, nice to have a showe... Read more

I stayed here for just over a week for work in the area. The Hotel is located just off of junction 9 on the M20 and is easy to find. The Hotel check in is fast and friendly. The car parking is more than adequate for the hotel an always has plenty of spaces. The rooms are really nicely decorated an the atmosphere is relaxing, the beds are huge for doubles and so nice to sleep on. The bathroom is equally nicely set out and the shower is really powerful which is great. The food is of a high st... Read more

This is a modern hotel with a Spa and Treatment Rooms. On booking I let them know that this was a special birthday celebration for two friends. We were upgraded to a larger room (the hotel was fairly quiet). There was no fuss or fanfare made by reception and we didn't know until we put the key card in the door! Was a great surprise. The room was clean and spacious. Wi Fi is free across the hotel, however it was not working while we were there which was very frustrating.

Let me say at the outset that this is not a bad review of this hotel it is a bad review of weddings in hotels. My heart generally sinks now when I arrive at a Reception and there is a wedding party flooding into the lobby - cars usually parked without thought and queued up at the entrance. Now this is not because I dislike weddings (I??ve had two myself) it??s just that the Wedding Party now takes over the hotel. Also I regret to say that some weddings do not always show up some of the weddi... Read more

Stay at this hotel for 4 weeks on business, everyday there was a drama, most of the staff are rude and very unhelpful. One of my staff members notice his van had the side door pulled out like a tin can at 7am, when he report it to the hotel manager, they basic said it had nothing to do with them and we need to call the police, which in my views is disgusting, where's the help and customer service, they instanced we pay for extra charges add to our bill before we left, they were more bothered abo... I stayed here years ago and my room was full of ants so I was really dubious about staying again. Worked booked the room so had no option to stay but was pleasently suprised. Only couple of downsides for me were the wifi dropped off quite a bit and I found the lunchtime buffet limited. Also I saw signs for joining the hotel loyalty scheme but was never asked to join so will probably stick to hotels where I am a member.

Booked a one night break for myself, aunty and cousin. On arrival the lady at reception was very friendly. Our room was nice could have been just a little bit bigger as there was 3 of us. We had the option of either 1x60min or 2x30min spa treatments each included in our package. The treatment area in the spa was very tranquil. The treatments were very nice and relaxing. The pool area wasn't that busy but there was swimming lessons taking place in the pool. The sauna and steam room were great bu... Read more

Went there to spend the last couple of days before going back to the continent. Check in was done very quickly and the room was very nice. The hotel had had an upgrade, but they had forgotten the carpets in the hallways. The breakfast was nice and the check out easy. As a hotel, it was ok albeit a bit pricey

On the 4th of September we stayed at the Ashford International Hotel on their Wine and Dine Package. We cannot speak too highly of our experience. The reception was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and modern. The restaurant was relaxed with a good menu, and the buffet breakfast was really good. We have stayed at many ' chain' hotels but our experience at the Ashford International was the best. Peter Christian

I have stayed at the Ashford International many times throughout the last 2 years and find the rooms comfortable with nice amenities, especially for those without transportation. We were looked after from start to finish . The actual ceremony was really nice , well organised by staff. The hotel itself was very modern and a great wedding venue . After photos in the hotel we were taken to the reception room and it looked beautifully laid out , the food was really nice and they went out of there way for my fussy 10 Year old . All in all a really nice enjoyable day at the hotel and everybody enjoyed themselves . Highly recommend

We stayed for four nights as part of a coach holiday and while it has four star facilities the service for the evening meals was not worth one star. We were asked to be seated for 6:45 and the meals were ordered in the morning. However it still took 55 minutes for our starter to arrive. The whole three course meal took 2 hours and 35 minutes and we left without our coffee. The third night did improve but not by much. The last night was very good but we were the only group in and there was little... Read more
