You get what you pay for - was really cheap, but the room we stayed in was as if it had been furnished in the 70s and was falling to bits. It was clean but wallpaper was peeling off, sockets coming out of wall, carpets threadbare etc. But very clean and fine if you want a cheap place to lay your head. Pool is tiny at around 12m length. Staff very friendly. Breakfast fine, good selection. Just don't expect the Hilton experience in terms of room decor!

Room on 2nd floor, not recommend. Extremely hot with a fan that was very noisy. Opened Windows to find previous guest cigarette buts, cobwebs & black mess. Bed the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. Family room a good size but woken up by various groups who were obviously not family singing & partying till 3am and the ambient noise of the A27! Breakfast lovely and presentation/decor in the main hotel very nice and staff doing their very best.

Booked a 2 night stay with my wife to explore arundel. You arrive through a sweeping drive unto an imposing country house, surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. The location is certainly welcoming. An extremely tired and shabby hotel that needs an uplift to the decor to elevate the interior to the standards of the facade and grounds. Pleasant stay, though the steam room wasn't functioning during our stay. The pool is small but adequate, our room was also small for a double room - but the bathroom wasn't equipped for our cat-swinging weekend - it was miniscule.

We booked a four day break in a Deluxe room. It was a very large room looking over the golf course and very comfortable. When we came down for breakfast the first morning we were very impressed with the range of food on offer. I could serve myself with porage and not wait 20 mins as in most hotels. Likewise the Dinner menu was a large selection and we could find different things each day. I would recommend this hotel as good value for money

I was underwhelmed by this hotel. Nothing especially wrong with it but I've stayed in much nicer places for less money. The whole place could do with a big renovation as it's looking very dated inside. However . . . whilst staying there we had lunch from the bar menu. I ordered the steak sandwich. Although the location, food and price were good, there was a feeling that the hotel, which needs a makeover in many areas, had misjudged the number of staff needed for the number of guests who were there. Had to chase the desk to get water in the room . The rooms are old and outdated , the bathroom is from the early eighties with shell shaped sink and old mosaic tiles. Furniture is oak . TV is modern but no air con and ropey old fan , I can get that in a Travel lodge. The staff are great in the Restaurant and the bars , very friendly and attentive . Good location with Footwell , chichester and brighton not far . The rooms don't deserve the price .

Expected more from this hotel as it was in the Hilton group. Lovely location, lovely staff but the hotel and room are looking tired. We stayed in room 517. Paint pealing off the ceiling in the bathroom. The bed was dreadful. Extremely hard and creaked at every movement. Worst nights sleep in a long time. We were then disturbed again by someone hammering a stake in the ground at 6:30 am! Such a shame. We have now just checked into a Premier Inn and the bed is lovely!

We spent one night at the Hilton Avisford Park recently. The room was comfortable and the general atmosphere very relaxed with friendly staff on hand. Ideal for short stays and conferences. Free wifi.

I made the mistake of assuming all Hiltons came with excellent standards. Wrong. This hotel is in dire need of renovating and is not worth the expensive prices, I have stayed in much better travel lodges which are a third of the price of a Hilton. Good hotel although location a bit remote. Nice gardens and ideal for golfers. Small swimming pool and leisure facilities are ok if your stay is for exploring the surrounding areas. Not so good evening entertainment.

Very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. Lovely hotel. Stayed in the garden annex as more modern. Only possible negative was the rather poor tv reception. Not sure why more freeview channels could not be supplied. One good plus point is the plentiful, free parking. Would suggest that, if arriving by car, approach from the Arundel end of the A27, to avoid having to cross traffic heading west. Excellent stay.

Rooms are looking shabby facilities are now in need of updating. Bed rock hard and uncomfortable. Lovely meal in bar during the evening and breakfast lovely. Used the pool which was pleasantly warm. Not very large for such a large hotel.

Decent hotel, the gym and pool were disappointing however due to the size!. Good for business, but perhaps not a place to stay for couples as there isnt much to do in and around the hotel (well not that I saw!)

We visited the Hilton Avisford Park as a treat for our wedding anniversary and booked a suite, but I really shouldn't have ignored the negative reviews on TripAdvisor when making my booking. Despite the numerous responses on here from the hotel manager telling of the ongoing maintenance and that they are "softly refurbishing the bedrooms" this still does not seem to be completed. Our room was like something from the 1970s and had a musty damp smell to it. Please can the hotel manager confirm th... Read more

So, these two nights were booked under my Hilton Premium Elite membership (which I will definitely not be renewing. The room we were given was tiny and not at all clean (featuring a somewhat magnificent spider's web on the central light shade). The hotel was generally shabby with scuffed wallpaper and tired carpeting. The overall impression was that it is geared up for corporate events and meetings and for overnight stays for consultants/sales reps working away from home. Service was variabl... Read more

The hotel looks really nice from outside however the inside is a different story. Outdated decor, no lift as the building is empty. Dirty room (dead flies on the windowsill) and a filthy bath mat. Boiling hot room with a window that wouldn't open (had to call the housekeeper to come and fix it. No bottled water in the room. Remote control for the Tv didn't work so we had to call housekeeping again. Overpriced wine (about £10 a glass). Oh and a lovely view of the bins from our bedroom window. I... Read more

We stayed one night with family and both rooms were upgraded to deluxe which was very nice. Both rooms large and clean with nice soft towels in the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and assisted with our daughter's luggage when checking out of her room with two young children. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. For some reason one of our rooms had drinks vouchers and snacks and the other didn't. Can't complain though as we did get upgraded to larger room with bathrobes and slippers. T... Read more

We had read some pretty negative reviews about this place and were not sure what to expect. From the cheerful, welcome to the quality of the room everything was very good. The staff were very professional and the facilities comprehensive. Yes it could benefit from some maintenance in some places but this is what you expect in this kind of hotel. Its part of the character. We will be back and found this a very decent place to stay.

The building is impressive externally although it could do with a repaint , but the inside is another matter Im afraid. The interior is dated and needs some serious investment and the rooms - well, pretty poor I'm afraid. In fairness the web site photos are pretty accurate and if you like 1980 style rooms with teak furniture then you're in for treat. Possible the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, noisy springs every time you turn in bed. We did move rooms to the "corporate " ... Read more

For the 7th year running, we attended the annual charity ball at the Hilton Avisford Park, Arundel. We stayed in room 515 which was near the function room for the event, a walk away from the main hotel, restaurant, gym and pool facilities. However, the room was truly lovely and overlooked the well-kept gardens belonging to the Hotel. Arundel and castle are a short drive away (lots of antique shops) and the main shopping centre of Chichester is close by too. The Hotel sits across from a very ... Read more

Spent the night here with my wife. We had a special deal and if I had paid full price I would have been quite angry. The hotel is located in abuilding which used to be a private school. It is set in very extensive grounds and looks impressive from the outside. We arrived about 3.15 and the Receptionist did not seem to know what to do with us. We waited while she made phone calls which appeared to be with colleagues. Eventually, after I asked,I was told our room was not ready. I must have looked a... Read more

Stayed here last week because it was a Hilton and we have never been disappointed with a Hilton before. We had room 14 which was accessed by a corridor past the meeting rooms. It all needed a good Hoover. There were bits of paper on the floor which were still there next day. The door opposite our room had pealing paint on it. When we got into our room it as so dark. A small low powered lamp set into the wall on each side of the bed and another one of the same ilk over the mirror. No centre light... Read more

We have just visited this Hilton for our wedding anniversary - a surprise booked by my husband! We had a lovely stay, we stayed in room 221 a deluxe room that has a gorgeous view out over the garden and beyond. The room was spotlessly clean, we were very impressed! Also impressed at how big it was, it had a sofa and two comfy arm chairs, a desk, a little table and a wardrobe. The swimming pool isn't large but it was all that was needed, maybe in peak times it would be a bit crowded but then t... Read more

Everything you'd expect from a Hilton so safe there. Good restaurant for your lunch/dinner. Bar only has one ordinary whisky (Ballantyne's). Breakfast is a disgrace if you like your full English - ask for it to be cooked fresh for you - the hot plates offer the overcooked, tasteless, oily, watery and rubbery........

I stayed here whilst on a 2day course locally. Upon check in, I asked if there was a lift as my kit bag and suitcase were heavy, but there is no lift due to the building being very old. Ok, so I asked for someone to help me, was told I would need to wait so someone could be found....2 flights of stairs later, along one of THE creakiest and cold hallways, I found my room. To say it was depressing, was as close as I can get politely. The lights were not at all effective, the bed felt like it woul... Read more

The hotel could do with a little up dating but more than makes up for it with the helpful staff and food. The evening meal and breakfast especially was of a very high standard. Consequently we had to juggle our group having treatments on Friday and Saturday whilst trying to ensure we had enough time on Saturday to go into Chichester.
