We stayed here for one night prior to flying from Manchester airport in the early morning. When we arrived there was limited parking and a very long queue to check in. When we went to the room it was very tired and could have done with updating. The bed was comfy enough. There was no free wifi in the rooms only in the communal areas. The communal areas were much more modern. We went to sit down in the lounge and have a drink. we struggled to get a drink as the staff were no where to be found.... Read more

We booked this hotel which brands itself as a quality product as we had an early flight out of Manchester. Originally they offered on site parking but it has now changed and they use a Skypark operation on the other side of the motorway. This is a new operation and so it was a bit chaotic for the company involved. It wasn't ideal as they do park and ride so after waiting quite a while for a bus as there was a shift change, we then had to go to the airport to drop people off before we were taken ... Read more

Please read my profile for my biases. I am a loyal Marriott customer so on a recent trip to the north of England I booked a room here before my flight home. Airport hotels always feel sad to me. If you think about it, while many hotels have guests that stay a week or more, airport hotels tend to have customers who just stay one night (like me) and it means they always seem a little more worn and a little more tired. So I usually dread the airport hotel stay. This experience was better than av... Read more

The service here is first class from the minute you check in to checking out. Our room was massive 2 big beds and a sofa. The leisure facilities are fantastic and the pool was warm. The best bit was the meal in the Italian restaurant it was the best ever. We had a park n hotel rate but would definitely stay at this hotel just for leisure facilities and good food just to have a chill out weekend. It's just a pity the holiday we are doing this time we have to fly from Heathrow as tried to get... Read more

Firstly it has to be said the actual rooms and buildings are average. It looks a bit drab in places and it feels like an airport hotel. Having said that the staff are excellent and very friendly. Everyone acknowledges you and it's easy to get into a conversation. Breakfast was slightly above average but I had a very good dinner. Recommended if you are in the area but don't want to face city traffic for a hotel.

My nan booked this hotel for me and my friend so we could come an visit her. I'm not usually one to complain but i was so dissapointed with my stay. I stayed at this hotel at the start of the month and although the staff were lovely the bad really did out weigh the good. The first night we got there our TV did not work, i called reception and no one answered so we ended up leaving it until the next morning. The next morning we woke up and the light didn't work in our room, luckily the man who ca... Read more

The hotel is in an old 70's building and is in need of some serious investment! My room was dirty and didn't look as if it had been decorated since the 80's! The bathroom was the worst; there was some grout missing between two tiles next to the toilet and the little channel that had been created filled up with water every time the toilet was flushed! The mixer taps on the basin didn't mix the water into one stream, but instead I had a stream of hot and a stream of cold! The hotel charges for wi-... Read more

Lovely stop over for a concert. Nice deluxe room very clean and comfy. Plenty of parking and priced under £20 - not bad. Staff excellent. Made time for the pool - a delight - towels and lockers provided. Lovely jacuzzi , steam room and sauna. Used the San Carlo restaurant for tea- yum! Wish we had had time for the spa... Maybe next time.

I spent a lot of time in this hotel, the service is generally ok (not great) but I had some issues occasionally mainly due to high turnaround of the staff with inexperienced people. The layout it is a not good, it seems to be in a maze! I enjoyed the Business Lounge and the good food there. Rooms are okish. Not very clean some time and with a bad heating/air conditioning systems.

My family stayed at the Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel for 4 nights. We used it was a home base to travel to Northern Wales and England. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was huge. We had two large beds, a couch, lounging couch, and wardrobe. The air conditioning was excellent. The bathtub was a bit high (2 to 3 feet), but the bathroom was very spacious. Our room was very quiet. We couldn't hear any airport noise at all. The layout of the hotel is kind of weird. We could either walk... Read more

Booked the park and fly option with the hotel and it made life so much easier. Bags dropped the day before, then nipped up the road to The Romper pub/restaurant for something to eat. Taxi was complimentary and arrived on time the following morning to take us to the airport. Nice hotel, good service and reasonable drinks prices in the bar.

Brilliant stay again. Free upgrade to executive room very nice touch with all the extras that came with it. Staying again in November always clean and friendly. Very comfortable beds sometimes a little noises with children banging upstairs but nothing to ruin our stay.

Spent a couple of nights here using my Marriott reward points. First the positives: 1. Nice spacious hotel, warm welcome on arrival 2. Breakfast was good - limited choices (no marmalade??) but what was there was good, cooked well 3. Leisure facilities good - pool, steam room, sauna, ice pool, jacuzzi 4. Plenty of parking - some parking spaces a bit confusing whether for hotel guests or not but generally lots of parking (11 pounds per day) 5. Used the executive lounge - peace and quiet 6. Got ... Only nice thing is access to the airport, so if you an early morning flight like I did it's great. It does have all the amenities and a great bar. Rooms are big n roomy. Delightful staff that really take care of you. Feel very welcome at this Marriott.

Hoping to find a nice hotel, we found a dusty smelly bedroom, not neat at all. Service at reception OK, they charge you a deposit of £50 'in case you want to use any minibar/ food services'. We asked for a taxi via the hotel we could pay by credit card, they confirmed that, and then the taxi driver claimed he didn't have any mean through which we could pay by credit card... in general it is not worthy. £7 taxi to the airport, it is not as near as other hotels.

Hotel could do with a bit of a revamp - looks quite dated now. Arrived in the room (floor 0) to find a used towel and shampoo bottle in the bathroom. Damp on the ceiling, but I'm not that usually that fussy so put up with it since we were only staying for one night and had to be up early to catch a flight. Was woken up 3 or 4 times in the night to a loud sound of flowing water. It sounded like it was coming from the air con unit even though it wasn't turned on. Complained about this in the morn... 2nd time we have stayed here and used the Park Here, Fly There service. Nice upgraded room with plenty of space and the usual comfy Marriott bed. It was nice to see that the hotel seems to have started a refurbishment programme, as it was becoming a bit dated. They were redecorating the corridors during our stay. The staff and service in both reception and the Executive lounge were 1st class. As our flight was very early the complimentary snacks in the lounge were more than enough to keep us go... Read more

To answer my question above, there are two possibilities. A - you are serving time. B - you are at home. I stayed at the Marriott near Manchester Airport (MAN) in Hale (WA15 8XW) for work. I had my pick of hotels near the airport, but I chose the Marriott because it was recommended by a friend. Every employee at the hotel, no matter who you bump into, is very helpful. Visiting from "the other side of the pond," my taste buds had limited, worldly experience. The ladies & gentlemen entrusted with ... Read more

Basic Marriott hotel, with an overpriced restaurant. Comfortable bed and quite rooms, although can be quite a distance from the reception. I had a basic meal in the restaurant and it cost 48 GBP (60‚?¨) which was overpriced for what it was, it did include a mandatory 12.5% service charge. The staff were good, efficient and friendly.

This place has not seen an upgrade since the 80s. Dingy dingy dingy. We had an "executive" King room which was large. Space was good. But the bathrooms are mildewed, broken tiles, smelly, carpets were threadbare, bed had completely broken springs. This is a category 6 for marriott. I would not even place at category 2. An utter waste of my 30000 points plus 25 pounds. Stay away from this place. Even the executive lounge is dingy. The only good part is the lady who works the breakfast ... Read more

We stayed here as a couple in September 2015 before we travelled to Munich for Oktoberfest. Location is excellent for the airport and hotel staff kindly arranged for a taxi to collect us the next morning to take us there for our flight. Our room was very spacious and clean however I felt the room, and the floor we were on as a whole, was in need of an update as it looked a little tired. This did not affect our stay however. OK, so I stayed at this hotel as a last resort as I needed to be closer to the airport. Granted, the location is great and the the staff were helpful and friendly. Stops there. Corridor I stayed on smelt like they'd washed the carpets and not dried them properly, my room smelt the same. There was no waste bin in the room, hardly sanitary as we had to leave waste on the desk in the room. This hotel fell so far short of what I expect from a Marriott, that I find it hard to know where to begin. But I will try. Parking: Parking near the hotel seems to have been designated to a car hire company and taxis. While I am sure that this gives the hotel some income, it means that guests have to park several hundred yards away and drag their bags back up the length of the hotel. I wouldn‚??t mind this too much were it not for the fact that the hotel charges you GBP11 for the privilege of p... Read more

The decor was dated and there was not enough towels for two people. The breakfast was limited and not very good. The service at breakfast was really not good and we had to ask for hot drinks about three times. First time we have stayed at an hotel prior to out flight, safe to say we will be using the Marriott again. Rang and informed the reception we would be later than expected of checking in, no problems Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside is we were down below and there is no mobile reception on ee. Also booked the parking which was going to cost £80 at the airport , so basically cost me £70 for the room for three people.

Booked to stay here for 1 night before flying from Manchester and honestly wish we hadn't! From the start the whole experience was really stressful. Finding a space in the car park was a nightmare. Had to park and carry our cases from what seemed a mile away!!!
