We stayed here for one night prior to flying from Manchester airport in the early morning. When we arrived there was limited parking and a very long queue to check in. When we went to the room it was very tired and could have done with updating. The bed was comfy enough. There was no free wifi in the rooms only in the communal areas. The communal areas were much more modern. We went to sit down in the lounge and have a drink. we struggled to get a drink as the staff were no where to be found.... Read more

We booked this hotel which brands itself as a quality product as we had an early flight out of Manchester. Originally they offered on site parking but it has now changed and they use a Skypark operation on the other side of the motorway. This is a new operation and so it was a bit chaotic for the company involved. It wasn't ideal as they do park and ride so after waiting quite a while for a bus as there was a shift change, we then had to go to the airport to drop people off before we were taken ... Read more

Please read my profile for my biases. I am a loyal Marriott customer so on a recent trip to the north of England I booked a room here before my flight home. Airport hotels always feel sad to me. If you think about it, while many hotels have guests that stay a week or more, airport hotels tend to have customers who just stay one night (like me) and it means they always seem a little more worn and a little more tired. So I usually dread the airport hotel stay. This experience was better than av... Read more

The service here is first class from the minute you check in to checking out. Our room was massive 2 big beds and a sofa. The leisure facilities are fantastic and the pool was warm. The best bit was the meal in the Italian restaurant it was the best ever. We had a park n hotel rate but would definitely stay at this hotel just for leisure facilities and good food just to have a chill out weekend. It's just a pity the holiday we are doing this time we have to fly from Heathrow as tried to get... Read more

Firstly it has to be said the actual rooms and buildings are average. It looks a bit drab in places and it feels like an airport hotel. Having said that the staff are excellent and very friendly. Everyone acknowledges you and it's easy to get into a conversation. Breakfast was slightly above average but I had a very good dinner. Recommended if you are in the area but don't want to face city traffic for a hotel.

My nan booked this hotel for me and my friend so we could come an visit her. I'm not usually one to complain but i was so dissapointed with my stay. I stayed at this hotel at the start of the month and although the staff were lovely the bad really did out weigh the good. The first night we got there our TV did not work, i called reception and no one answered so we ended up leaving it until the next morning. The hotel is in an old 70's building and is in need of some serious investment! My room was dirty and didn't look as if it had been decorated since the 80's! The bathroom was the worst; there was some grout missing between two tiles next to the toilet and the little channel that had been created filled up with water every time the toilet was flushed! The mixer taps on the basin didn't mix the water into one stream, but instead I had a stream of hot and a stream of cold! The hotel charges for wi-... Read more

I spent a lot of time in this hotel, the service is generally ok (not great) but I had some issues occasionally mainly due to high turnaround of the staff with inexperienced people. The layout it is a not good, it seems to be in a maze! I enjoyed the Business Lounge and the good food there. Rooms are okish. Not very clean some time and with a bad heating/air conditioning systems.

My family stayed at the Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel for 4 nights. We used it was a home base to travel to Northern Wales and England. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was huge. We had two large beds, a couch, lounging couch, and wardrobe. The air conditioning was excellent. The bathtub was a bit high (2 to 3 feet), but the bathroom was very spacious. Booked the park and fly option with the hotel and it made life so much easier. Bags dropped the day before, then nipped up the road to The Romper pub/restaurant for something to eat. Taxi was complimentary and arrived on time the following morning to take us to the airport. Nice hotel, good service and reasonable drinks prices in the bar.

Breakfast was good - limited choices (no marmalade??) but what was there was good, cooked well 3. Leisure facilities good - pool, steam room, sauna, ice pool, jacuzzi 4. Plenty of parking - some parking spaces a bit confusing whether for hotel guests or not but generally lots of parking (11 pounds per day) 5. Used the executive lounge - peace and quiet 6. Got ... Hoping to find a nice hotel, we found a dusty smelly bedroom, not neat at all. Service at reception OK, they charge you a deposit of £50 'in case you want to use any minibar/ food services'. We asked for a taxi via the hotel we could pay by credit card, they confirmed that, and then the taxi driver claimed he didn't have any mean through which we could pay by credit card... in general it is not worthy. £7 taxi to the airport, it is not as near as other hotels.

Hotel could do with a bit of a revamp - looks quite dated now. Arrived in the room (floor 0) to find a used towel and shampoo bottle in the bathroom. Damp on the ceiling, but I'm not that usually that fussy so put up with it since we were only staying for one night and had to be up early to catch a flight. Was woken up 3 or 4 times in the night to a loud sound of flowing water. It sounded like it was coming from the air con unit even though it wasn't turned on. Complained about this in the morn... To answer my question above, there are two possibilities. A - you are serving time. B - you are at home. I stayed at the Marriott near Manchester Airport (MAN) in Hale (WA15 8XW) for work. I had my pick of hotels near the airport, but I chose the Marriott because it was recommended by a friend. Every employee at the hotel, no matter who you bump into, is very helpful. This hotel fell so far short of what I expect from a Marriott, that I find it hard to know where to begin. But I will try. Parking: Parking near the hotel seems to have been designated to a car hire company and taxis. While I am sure that this gives the hotel some income, it means that guests have to park several hundred yards away and drag their bags back up the length of the hotel. Very good service from all staff - nice clean room with all the usual facilities. Efficient check out with arrangements with local taxi firm for transfer 5 min transfer to the airport (£7 fixed fare). Would be happy to return if travelling from Manchester Airport.

My wife and I stayed here overnight when attending a family function nearby and we thought is was perfectly ok for a one or two day stay. In fact for £85 odd which is what we paid including breakfast (booking direct) I would go so far as to say its a bargain. We usually stay in deluxe hotels so in all honesty we weren't really expecting very much but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel is a bit tired and could do with a makeover in places but we thought is was clean, our room was a reas... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for nearly 20 years, mainly for work, but this time as a park and fly hotel with children and grandchildren, some things are the same as they ever were and some have changed over the years. Booked direct with Marriott and surprised they have outsourced the transfers, but after a little issue on the booking of the taxi when we booked in, the luxury minibus that took us to the airport was great, but the same firm on the way back sent two taxis, and one they s... I stayed at this hotel for a quick business trip, very very poor customer service: there was a problem with the shuttle service offered by the hotel, no apologize was given, no recovery service offered, when I complained with the receptionist (Mr. Simon) he was not just useless, but he even made fun of me saying with an ironical smile "Thank you for your feedback, cheers!" and the morning after when I paid my bill his colleague asked me "Are you better today?", with the same unprofessional,funny... We booked a park and fly package before our holiday, and then a night when we returned. The night before in all honesty wasn't the best. We had booked a standard room which we thought would be fine. However the bed was very poor, obviously well overdue replacement and sagging in the middle. There were a few other things which struck me as a bit odd. There is one 500ml bottle of water left in the room (ours had already been opened before we arrived, so it went straight in the bin) and one bruis... Read more

Arrived late for an overnight stay and checked in with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Finding our room, which was on the first floor at the back of the hotel, was an interesting end to our journey. Luckily our drive North had been a lot easier! I feel better signage and direction through the "Marriott Maze" would be a benefit. The room was large and typical Marriott. Stayed here one night on our return from holiday. The hotel is fine, but is looking a little worn out. Perhaps not surprisinig for a high volume airport hotel. Our room was a large room with two doubles (we were travelling as a family), and was comfortable. We had a great in room breakfast the following morning. It was only a continental breakfast, but the croissants and pastries were really quite good. The hotel might want to consider having a shuttle service. We arrived late into Manche... Read more

Room clean, modern bathroom. Not a single US or EU plug in room and only one Uk plug at desk area. Parking lot tight and gate system inconvenient. Very run down hallways and all common areas had terrible odors. Executive club was very low level. Food was mediocre and beverage offering was poor.
