This was my 2nd stay here, I was really quite disappointed with the standard of the room this time, it was very small and dated. I had an issue with hot water for showering and had to go to the room next door for my shower on the 2nd day. I ate in the restaurant on the first evening and the bar on my 2nd day, food in both was reasonable quality, although nothing to get excited about. The saving grace was the staff, they are all friendly and helpful. Overall I thought it wasn't up to Hilton stand... Read more

The hotel looks and feels a bit tired. Staff in general very friendly. Wide range of choice for Breakfast, quality very good. Bar meals could be better. Accommodation. Rooms are a bit drab - could do with refurbishment. I stay on the first floor during my stay - room doors along the whole corridor slammed shut when guests were coming and going. Could do with a softer closing mechanism.

We selected this hotel as an overnight stop after arriving at the airport to break the on the way to staying in the Highlands. Initially disappointed because we thought we had booked the other Hilton in Aberdeen (that's called Hilltop, not Treetop!). However, the staff could not have been nicer; very welcoming on reception and great service in general. Room was big, clean and very comfortable bed. The meal in the restaurant was excellent - above expectations. In fact it was such a relaxing stopo... Read more

Stayed only for one night for business in the area. The hotel was in a good location and easy to find. There is ample parking and easy access. The hotel was clean and the gardens neat on arrival. Check-in was simple and fast. Very polite and friendly receptionists do make all the difference after a long day. As a HH member I was offered a great room (Room 25) which was a good size and very comfortable. Dinner was in the main restaurant and it was advertised as "Steak Night". I decided to try i... After my husband decided on an overnight away trip for our family we found this hotel dated and dirty/run down. We waited over 2 hours to checkin we paid for dinner bed and breakfast they tried to charge us again for dinner. The food was good only reason we gave one star. The pool was dirty. Erin was basic and dated they situated us over two functions with no view from window all we heard was the base and music blaring all night. Staff very friendly and efficient at the Treetops. Food (breakfast and dinner) were excellent, and great value as we were on DB&B basis. We stayed in a family room (Room 106) which wasn't great. Really dated, toilet was old fashioned, and had a sewage type smell which filtered into the room. Toilet bowl was also dirty. Bedroom had a sofa bed and it was so hard. My son was crying it was so uncomfortable, so my husband ended up having to sleep in it, he said it was horrendous! Room not up ... Read more

This is a typical Hilton hotel in a great suburban location. You have easy access to the city centre for business or leisure and also good 'out of town' access. The rooms are good with all that you need overnight or for a short stay. The restaurant is great for breakfast but may lack a little atmosphere for evening dining. There is ample customer parking.

The hotel is located outside of Aberdeen centre, in a suburb of houses. However, it's easy to find and parking is free. Some of the furnishing are a little dated but I found everything to be clean and in good condition. I booked a particularly excellent deal of DBB for around £63 - this was a HHonours member price, but joining is free. The food in the restaurant was really quite excellent. I have visited this hotel a number of times for buisness trips. The first thing to aknowledge is the friendly, helpful and pleasent staff in all areas of the hotel. Booked this hotel for a five night break. Have stayed here many times but not in the last 10 years or so. There have been many changes and all for the good. The main restaurant ( The Springfields ) is now so much nicer. When we checked in the night before (online) we found we had been given an upgrade ( I have a Hilton HHonors card ) to a double deluxe room . This was spacious, had a couch and easy chair and a table. The bathroom was a good size with a shower and bath. Lovely fluffy bath sheets ... Read more

Arrived for a Take That themed night only to discover that the band scheduled to play had cancelled. No prior notification issued so it was a lump or leave it scenario... Unfortunately I was staying so didn't have a choice. I can safely say I would not have paid to see the replacement band - material was not to my taste. Room was satisfactory and fit for purpose and pretty cheap considering..... breakfast in room was average, I have definitely had better and on departure, duty manager didn't ... Read more

Good facility. Kind of out of reach but really nice and convenient location. We had a Secret Escapes deal of 3 nights with breakfast and dinner included - it was quite good - menu changed every day and it was really good food The only inconvenient was that we got a room really close to construction going on at hotel - without being announced of it. We were woken up by jack hammers. Luckily the hotel upgraded us to a more quite room as soon as we raised the issue.

I stayed here with my partner for my graduation ball. Check in went smoothly with a very nice reception team. We were booked into a deluxe room which was nice. The hall was set out beautifully however tables were crammed with 12 to a table. The food overall was pretty average. The soup was watered down but the main course of a chicken dinner was lovely. The staff were all nice and very attentive. We got breakfast the next morning, the restaurant was really nice and the breakfast was good.

We stayed on a secret escapes break for 5 nts on a dbb basis. Really good value for money, 2 course dinners very good, breakfast buffet excellent, leisure club good, room good but a little tired, staff were excellent. Hotel located on the outskirts of Aberdeen but bus available across the road with an unlimited use bus pass for £4 for the day. (20mins to city centre.) Note - hotel being refurbed to some areas but it wasn't noticeable or a problem.

Booked very close to midnight, had had a very very long day and drive, and because of the check out time at mid day, this seemed perfect place to stay out of the city centre and away from the noise. Told receptionist that we wouldn't be needing breakfast, explained that we had had a long drive (checking in at 2am) and would be sleeping till well after 10 when the breakfast finished. Woken up at 9am with extremely loud drilling and banging noises, which sounded like it was in the ajoining wall,... Read more

We used to come here years ago when it was Stakis and it was all tartan carpets and a ceilidh band in the dinning room. That has all gone and it has a modern look. There was upgrading work going on which will be finished at the end of the year. So it was different but the staff were lovely, very efficient and helpful. The food was great. Spent two nights here on secret escapes deal. First time we've done one of these deals but not sure we'd do it again. Breakfast and dinner were included in the deal but there was a special dinner menu. I honestly hate complaining and giving bad reviews but I feel like people need to be wary of what lies in store with this hotel. I stayed here for business so needed to get checked in and settled to catch up with work. Where do I start, the first room 208 I was given stank of stale smoke and damp, the towels had dark hairs on them and the furniture was from the 60's very tired chipped and dirty looking. I found cigarette ash on the window sill and went to request a different room. The staff were... Read more

I was bitterly disappointed with this Hotel having stayed in many Hilton Hotels before. We arrived to a very cold room and found that the heater in the room was broken. They kindly moved us to another room but it had not been prepared properly. There were no glasses, no toilet rolls and the floor creaked so much it was impossible to walk about late at night. The Hotel was being refurbished and there were workmen everywhere which we were not told about. We were not impressed.

The only positives were breakfast and good soft towels in the bathroom. There was no heating in the room and the promised electric heater never arrived. Notice the change since last visit as they rebrand as a Doubletree. Lower room rates reflects declining standards. Restaurant and bar fine as ever however front desk often unattended. Room maintenance falling fast peeling paint, broken ceiling lights, rust stains and taped up broken electrical connections just some of the items in my room.
