We have stayed in this hotel a few times and always stay in the Platinum club where everyone is so friendly.. This was our second stay in the Duplex suite too. A sign of the times (slump in oil prices) this hotel only does breakfast in the Club on Sunday mornings and it seemed to have become a ghost hotel....this did not bother us . I became ill while there and had to go to hospital so I want to thank them for looking after my husband very well. We will need to come back to the Duplex Suite look... Read more

Didn't realise i had booked a bigger room but got put in the Platinum Club. Business suites in a separate building. Fast check in, huge rooms. All very good. Usual bar food from hilton but with a few extra items which was nice to see. Another good stay. Runners. Its right on the beach so no issues here except the headwind.

We stayed overnight ahead of the Baker Hughes 10k so the location (right next to the start and finish line) was perfect! We had an "executive" room which was pretty tired decor-wise but the staff were nice and it was a good price so overall it was worth it. Would love to return when the rooms have been given a spruce up.

Great hotel for city centre, spacious and if you are in the platinum club plenty of peace and quiet. The food is great and so is the bar. Prices are reasonable. The rooms are clean and tidy and would recommend anyone to go for a weekend or business weekday

My husband and I had a most enjoyable meal in the Double Tree Hilton "Footdee Restaurant" it was a weekday evening, the sun was shining and the Hotel was situated about 500 yards from the beach promenade and golden sands. On arrival at the Footdee Restaurant we were met with a smile and shown to our table. The menu was a challenge! Which dish to choose, there were so many that tempted the tastebuds!! My husband had Haggis Bon Bons for a starter and I had scallops served in a pea veloute. It was... Read more

We have stayed here before and found it to be an excellent hotel. Because we are Diamond members we are upgraded to the Platinum Club next door to the hotel, where we could enjoy our breakfast as well. Unfortunately, because of the downturn in business in Aberdeen at present, they were not serving breakfast in the Platinum Club and we had to go across to the main dining room. However, this was a small inconvenience in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Had a lovely stay here on business, special thanks to Gavin cheung and Mercedes brown for making me feel so welcome, travelling as cabin crew I often have breakfast alone and sometimes feel a little lonely. Gavin saw I was looking for orange juice and there was none left and was swiftly back with some fresh juice without me asking. Mercedes was very welcoming on arrival and talkative! Thank you so much! Also thank you to Rashed on reception, lovely staff all round! Charlotte!

Needed a hotel to stay for just one night. Booked on line after looking at reviews and prices. This one ticked all the right boxes, and I wasn't disappointed. Although, I did put on my search for breakfast included, however this was not included, but only cost an extra £10. I went into my room at the rear of the hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the size and layout. A massive bed and adequate storage space for everything needed. We came to Aberdeen for a graduation ceremony. The hotel was conveniently sited for us. We could not fault the sevice given by all the staff. Our room was small, cramped with no drawers for clothing and no trouser press--- standard nowadays in all hotels, the towels were of a very poor quality. Buffet breakfast was acceptable but evening meal in the dining room was poor for the prices charged and it was noted there were very few diners in the room --- more eating in the bar area or obviously in ... Have stayed here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Such a lovely hotel. We stayed in the Platinum Club and the huge bed is so comfortable. Many thanks to Christine for the Anniversary Plate. All staff are friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Always look forward to staying here. We receive better service at this hotel than in the (supposed) 5 star hotel in Dubai.

We stayed here recently while settling our daughter into Aberdeen University halls of residence. It was a handy location, not right in the centre which meant we had free and easy parking while still be close to the halls and local amenities. The rooms were large and comfortable with everything we needed. Probably the best buffet breakfast I have had in a long time with so much choice!

Great staff and so professional. The front desk staff know the guests and make you feel warm and fuzzy the moment you check in. The servers are awesome, Yvannah, Mercedes, you are the best, attentive and work so hard. Ged, Alan, Alan, Mat,knew all our preferences after a couple of days for our lunches and dinners. The beds are hard so my advice is to ask for two duvets to put on the bottom if you like a softer feel. The beach is a five minute walk and nice to stroll and admire the water, ... Read more

Having lived in Aberdeen all my life, when I was planning a trip back to visit family and friends for the weekend, I started looking at the Hilton properties in the city. Having stayed at the Tree tops Hilton a few years ago, we decided to try the Doubletree as they had family rooms available, and I remembered them having a pool (although this is now gone). The hotel is situated right at the beach and has plenty of things to see and do around the immediate area, Statrosphere Science centre, Fu... Read more

DoubleTree is good location to visit Aberdeen especially on sunny day. Its both short walk from the beach that offers nice walk on a good weather and 10 min walk from the city center. I am not sure how the normal rooms are, as I was updated platinum. Room while not ultra modern was definitely, clean, large and will really nice bed. As extra plus for business traveler like me complimentary WiFi was definitely fast enough to be effective at work.

We were guests for a wedding in this hotel. E stayed 2 nights. We had a lovely suite on the 3rd floor, but there was a lift, Everything was clean and cosy. The food was over the other side of the hotel on the Saturday morning, but you could eat on the same side of the hotel on the Sunday morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the comfort of the room.

I have stayed here a few times on business, it is a short walk to Union Street but offers free car parking. The reception staff are friendly and the rooms are clean but I think the hotel could do with a lick of paint in the corridors and rooms as that are looking a little tired in places. On the whole a decent hotel, a reasonable breakfast as unfortunately they also have joined the craze of coffee machines so you can't get a decent hot drink in the morning.
