Very nice hotel with utmost friendly people and staff. Breakfast of outstanding quality. Dinners OK but we expected more "French influence" and "finesse". Nice architecture but not our style. Perfect shuttle service.

Hotel was first class. Stayed here at the end of May and could not fault it. All the staff were very tentative and catered to our every need. Hotel was great for the point of view that the half board menu did not just require you to eat in the main restaurant but also meant you had the choice to eat off a set menu in the Italian/American, seafood and Chinese. Received exceptional service in the Chinese restaurant. The food was so good we chose to eat in it 3 nights out of our 10. Credit to the... Read more

This is a very nice hotel, with some wonderfully attentive, friendly, helpful staff. We had a warm welcome wherever we went. I think they were just overwhelmed or run off their feet with the number of people here! I think that's the problem - there's just too many people, and they're not really geared up for it. We were told they were at 90% occupancy during our stay (Spring bank holiday week), which was too much. Key things to be aware of: Sun loungers by the pools were a scarce commodity, and... Read more

Well, we checked in for total of x2 nights. Place was fine, spacious & overpriced as any normal resort. Pros: - "Luxury King Room with sea view" Room has a space, bathtub, sea view. - Staff were friendly - Valet parking - Swimming pools - Activities - Variety of restaurants. - Suits for family & kids. - Suits couples Cons: - MAWI restaurant staff is not that friendly and rude. In Ramadan it was the only restaurant was open, so we didn't have a choice. Restaurant did not have too much ... Read more

Wow, where do I start. This hotel is absolutely faultless. The half board option for the restaurants is more than adequate with an extensive range of around 8 options for main courses and 6 for starters & desserts in each restaurant. the room is spacious with a large balcony, mini bar etc. We found that the main pool can get quite busy but the beach is lovely and quiet with warm waters and next to the beach bar. There's also plenty of quieter pools around the hotel. The Moana and Porterhouse res... Read more

Fantastic spot for a pool day and lunch. The staff are all as friendly and helpful as they can be, and will go out of their way to help if they can. The pool is the perfect temperature to bring your core temp down in but not leave you too scared to dunk your shoulders in! We opted for a buffet lunch and the food was excellent. A particular nod to the chef who was cooking the fish freshly - absolute perfection! The only complaints I have are minor. For example, there was the most overwhel... Read more

We stayed here for 9 nights/10 days during Ramadan. Initially I was a little nervous that this would hinder my stay (I booked very naively without much knowledge of the day to day cultural observations) - I couldn't of been happier with the time I chose in the end. During the day, inevitably most things were quieter... this was welcomed though as everything was accessible and not crowded! I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in July and I have to say I am disappointed with the service received at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and does have the 5* feel about it with the beautiful reception/lobby, 6 pools, spa and restaurants however there are areas where there could be major improvements. The breakfast buffet is lovely too- but best to get there early. I do love the space within the room- only downside is the amount of light in the room- not ideal for getting ready. It was our second visit in Dubai - first time in Sofitel and probably the last one. Hotel is very luxurious. Food absolutely delicious. Great selection - especially at breakfast. We booked 2 bedroom apartment and it was fabulous. Very clean, spacious and for sure exceeded our expectations. However there were two downsides. First one: hotel is/was overcrowded. If you are looking for place where you would like to relax this is not a right place for you. Sun loungers mostly taken by 8am so you nee... Read more

We booked there MAINLY to enjoy the beach, but we were shocked, the beach was shallow, small and covered with weeds and disgusting greenish gooey stuff. We didn't even bother putting on our bathing suit. THEN, we booked a room with Sea View !! to find out that the sea was after passing the valet parking, then the main road , then oh there was the sea !!?? no view!!We were really really disappointed, They didn't even offer any compensating for ruining our work days off to enjoy, which we didn't..... Stayed the first week in Nov 2016, in one of the Opera Suites.. Been to Dubail many times before and stayed at for ex Atlantis and Shangril La Hotel, so how does this hotel compare? Very nice staff, friendly and service minded. A Lovely room, 125 SQM, with a big balcony. The best view ever in Dubail with the sky line of Dubai. Very nice beach, bigger and nicer than Atlantis and Hilton beach. Yellow fish in the water which can sting, but that is a problem wherever you stay in Dubai. Even though t... Read more

For our first trip in Dubai we visited this hotel, not long after it opened. The hotel is fantastic, rooms were lovely - we were upgraded to a sea view room. Food is great, staff were lovely. The only downside is the location which you can't do anything about, getting on and off the palm is time consuming. You can walk to Atlantis in 10 minutes which has some nice shops and food places so you don't always have to eat in the hotel or take a taxi. Also I don't find the man made beach and the sea i... We are in the luxury palm view and it's so amazing. Room are so big and the service is excellent. Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Only disadvantage is that their checking in time is 3pm and should you arrive early you will need to wait as their check out time is 12noon. So plan it out that you arrive in the afternoon. Staff do accommodate you to the best of their ability ?????

Very relaxing property, great views and pool area was very pleasant. Quite reasonably priced for Dubai however the service was on the slow side.this is a great place if you want to just wind down and relax but also quite good for relaxed meetings with clients

We are currently staying at the Sofitel, it's our second visit. Upon check in we were told quite rudely that there was no room ready despite myself and my husband both emailing on numerous occasions to ask for an early check in as we have an infant. Suddenly the gent on reception found an available room but neglected to tell us it would stink of smoke and air freshener, so we headed up there and were most disappointed. My mum was told she would have to wait till 4pm for her room. I returned to r... Read more

Had a 2 bedroomed apartment and it was huge. 4 toilets 3 bathrooms 2 bedrooms and lots of sitting room space, also amazing views overlooking the palm. The hotel is very nice but we felt attention to detail that one gets in other hotels in dubai was lacking. our apartment was serviced daily however turndown was hit and miss. plenty of water provided and wifi was very good. the lighting in the apartment was very poor, this really needs to be addressed as you cannot see properly at night when getti...
