The Marina Byblos is located in the very smart and attractive Marina district of Dubai, overlooking the waterfront. The reception staff and concierges are very friendly and welcoming, although there was a mix-up in the check-in procedure and the room wasn't ready at 3 pm - apparently it was being used for some sort of staff meeting, and this was distrressing as I'd arrived at 7 a.m. after an all-night flight. However, the receptionist gave me one of the corner suites instead which was very nice ... Read more

Everything was amazing. Staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. Was very central and within walking distance to Jumeirah Beach. Also very close to Yaght Club and Marina Mall. Will definitely be back xxx

Fantastic location close to beach, Marina, Trams & Metro. Reasonable pricing. Rooms comfortable. Friendly staff. Only letdown was the restrooms in the gym area which wasn't that clean (used it as already checked out when left for the airport, so not a setback as wouldn't typically make use of it). Would recommend.

Very comfortable room. Very well decorated. In some rooms in is possible to ear the music of the clubs in the ground floor, but is not very loud, just some light bass sound. It is a good option, with very helpful staff. An very good opt ion in Dubai

Room was nice and clean.. It was spacious for a family with a toddler.. And I love its color scheme, aqua/turqoise.. The reception staffs were helpful and friendly.. Food and ambience in their restaurant was also good.. We missed the spa and massage during our stay.. They were fully booked at that time so we opted for the massage centre next to the hotel.

Really couldn't fault the hotel on location, price & amenities. Booked two rooms in the hotel via booking.com, great value including breakfast. After reading some poor reviews I did have some reservations so I was pleasantly surprised. The deluxe rooms were really quite spacious, power shower was excellent. Breakfast was very good. There is a nice lively English pub that had live music & a great night club called society that played some great 80/90s music, super atmosphere there. The best part ... Read more

The hotel in general is ok but be aware that there are a couple of clubs in the lobby. Also internet is only limited to the lobby which makes it a but awkward to check your emails next to partying people. Also queuing and taking the lift with them is not great, unless that's what your looking for. Also cross your fingers that no partying people are staying next to you, they tend to be a bit loud! And then the honking starts around 2 am for taxis trying to make their way through the narrow street... Read more

Just returned from staying at this hotel. We arrived at 02:30 Friday 27th May and our room wasn't ready! We were told we would have to stay at there sister hotel as we had been double booked!! I had read this had happened to previous people staying at this hotel so I e-mailed them few days before we went, After the 2nd e-mail I sent and getting no reply I phoned the hotel to which the booking was confirmed and we could check in from 14:00 on Thursday 26th May! I told them that we would not arriv... Read more

Checked reviews before we booked so knew what to expect. We stayed for 6 nights from 23rd May to 29th May. Here are some observations: Location of hotel is good but it is NOT on Dubai Marina, on the rooftop if you stretch over, you can see just see part of Dubai Marina but it is away from the hotel so a bit misleading. You have to walk 8 minutes to get to the Marina Promenade which is down along the road, down some steps. We we welcomed with a refreshing free drink upon arrival and got into ... Read more

After a long with at the airport for a taxi we arrived at 2.15am. We got booked into the 3rd floor in a twin room. All I could hear was the noise from the clubs. The next day I asked if we could have a room on a higher floor away from the music. After a very busy day at the beach (doing nothing) we were told we had been moved into a suite. Fabulous. What an upgrade. Thank you Marina Byblos. I like this hotel for the location, the breakfast and friendly staff. I'll be back.

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of a multi centre holiday, we were looking for a clean comfortable budget hotel and this was just right. The rooms were bigger than I expected, there was a fairly large seating area as well a bed and dressing table/desk. The bathroom was modern and very clean. There is a nice pool on the roof which is run by some excellent staff. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a good location this is perfect.

we stayed here for 5 nights,Although the hotel is 4* it is very average compared to other hotels around JBR, the room was cleaned very well and often. the pool area however was not clean, the water was extremely dirty with thick oil and bits blown in, this was rather unpleasant for pool lovers. we did not eat in the hotel so can not comment on the quality of food. there are a few night clubs in the hotel so it can get very very noisy. the pool bar area was by far the most expensive in Dubai desp... The hotel was fine- the service was efficient and the room clean. It's not mind blowing but it does the job. There are hidden charges and clauses when you arrive however if booked through booking.com- the fee online was 900AED and the final bill (with no extras from my side) was almost 13,000 AED. The booking directs you to an adult and child booking (without making it evident) so you then have to pay 60AED extra [per night for an adult also there are taxes and charges.

I like the Marina Byblos...it offers a nice room at a decent price, has a great location and has some on site amenities like restaurants and spa. The only negative as far as I'm concerned is the pay requirement for WiFi in the rooms...and it's not cheap! I always forget they don't have WiFi in the rooms because of course they advertise "free wifi" and the assumption is that it is free throughout. Please correct this one flaw so I can keep coming back!

Booked a triple room but when we arrived there was one double bed in the room. Receptionist advised they don't do rooms for 3 people! They wheeled in a roll away bed which was very uncomfortable. Not even suitable for a child. We were moved into another room with 2 single beds that we pushed together so there were 3 in a bed. Each day the room was only set up for 2 people which meant I had to call for an extra towel every day. Management needs to inform their travel partners to stop selling thei... Read more

Nice location hotel. Near good sand beach ( around 300m ). Good free basement parking for rented cars. Internet only on lobby where sometimes you can`t find place to sit down. A lot os noise in the lobby due to 2 clubs at basement, one rusian and the other english. Good enough breakfast and nice rooms. Requeste non-smoke room but received a smoking room. We were there in march for one week and the hotel was very crouded especially on weekend. Nice view at rooftop pool. Free water in rooms.

The noise starts at 10 pm and continues beyond 4 am in the morning. Drunken english tourists shouting, roaring and fighting. You can forget about getting any sleep in this hotel. The noise from the nightclubs resonates through the whole building. Taxis honking their horns until 4-5am in the morning constantly. There are around 20 african prostitues who hang around the door of this hotel. You cannot walk anywhere without being accosted. This is not somewhere you want to go.

As Nell Gwynne is one of my favourite place to play darts, my bestfriend decided to give me an overnight stay gift at the hotel. The hotel was as usual busy because of the bars here, so expect a crowded lift on weekends. Would not really recommend it for families but could be a good place for group of friends to enjoy the marina life in Dubai. Room was nice and clean, enjoyed our sauna moment but not the loud voice of some staff talking to each other without considering there were guests tryin... Read more

location is good but be very careful in booking..i booked one room for me and my husband but upon checking in they told me that I only booked for one person even if I wrote both the names of my husband and me , and they forced me to pay additional 50dhs for my husband..i think this is ridiculous and very inconsiderate considering that we are a couple..very tricky promotion!

Having visited Dubai before I wanted to stay somewhere close to the Marina that was also accessible for all the other things Dubai has to offer. The Byblos is a very affordable hotel and well located practically next to the Dubai Yacht Club. The room was lovely very spacious and did have that luxury feel for the price we paid, but I also appreciate that Dubai is all about luxury. Pros: Rooms are good size. Clean daily and in a good location. Staff are great. Cons: Night club on the ground floor goes until 3am every night. If you're not staying on the upper levels you will find it hard to sleep. Also the rooms don't have wifi which in today's age is a real pain.

A decent hotel in a good location near the marina, restaurants etc. Very helpful reception staff. Very pleasant check-in and check out experience. Good food in Nell Gwynne bar. Did not try the restaurant except for breakfast which was also very pleasant. Internet access is limited to one device only which is a bit poor.

My stay was really enjoyable, room was really nice and had everything I wanted. I did have a problem adjusting the aircon as the room was a bit cold. Also the sauna was advertised as being open from 0700, I got there a little after that and the sauna wasn't "on". It took roughly another half hour of waiting for it to heat up before it was ready. Overall the service was really good and I'd recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again in future. Thanks.

Most probably due to a business turned to holidays trips, and night clubs, the confidence to people is low. Not only they block at the arrival the all value of your stay, but as well an advance on consumption, even if the booking has been made by a local company. You have to be present for laundry pick up and return, which doesn't give a lot of flexibility and reactivity. They are chasing you until the restaurant at the beanfeast time to ask you to sign the consumption of you minibar made 3 day... Read more

Good hotel. Clean, good staff and nice food. Close to metro and tram. It's a place for enjoying: night club, English pub and disco. Unfortunately if you are in no smocking room (4th and 5th floor) is hard to sleep due to the night club open until 3am.

I wanted a room with view to Marina and the reception staff were able to provide me with one which was very clean. It's close to the metro, beach, and Marina walk. Staff could get frustrated if they need to provide service to several customers at once and they never smile. Booking.com says there is no security fee but there is. I had to exchange some cash at hotel for this reason which considering their rate, makes you lose some money. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

We were enjoying with a group of friends dressed properly for the pool but not as "western way" one customer complained and we've been asked to leave pool for different reason (dress, not safe for children...) whereas we were there for quite sometimes. If those were the genuine reason then right from the start we should have been told the rules that either small children are not allowed or you need to have a "western type" of swimming suit or whatever the rules are. Interestingly other childre... Read more
