We stayed for one night in a club room for our 20th wedding anniversary. Superb service, comfy bed, fabulous facilities - favourite pool bar. Highly recommend it if you live in the city and just want to relax for a while. I think that's it in a nutshell but trip advisor won't let me submit without 200 characters

I don't often write 5* reviews, and given the standard of some of the hotels in Abu Dhabi I wouldn't normally give a hotel as "old" as this one such a high score, but I just have to: this hotel was perfect. Location wise it's at the quiet end of the Corniche, but it's a cheap taxi ride from everywhere, (AED 10 from Abu Dhabi Mall, 15 from Emirates Palace, 60 from Yas Mall, 80 from the Air port). The property is one of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi, but it doesn't show it. The rooms are clean... Read more

Sheraton Abu Dhabi Corniche offers its guests all what they need during their stay; be it business or otherwise. It is an excellent facility for confetence participants and family members. The rooms are very clean, the beds are so comfy and the general atmosphere is so guest friendly. My type of visit is always business and the conference I attend is usually held at the same hotel. Staff are so helpful and cooperative. The buffet during breakfast or lunchtime is so diverse. My stay was super and... Read more

We spent 8 nights here on half board, in a city view room. Check in was very quick and we were offered the option of an upgrade to the club lounge, which we declined as breakfast is still eaten in the Favours restaurant, and drinks in the cigar lounge, but it was nice to be asked. As others have said the Sheraton is now an old hotel in Abu Dhabi, but it has character. The room was on the small side, but the bathroom was huge. Even with the A/C turned right down we still found the room too warm f... Read more

Drive time: About an hour and 15 minutes to drive from Dubai. First impression: Nothing spectacular. Lobby seems tight. I cant imagine when massive number of guests checks in and out at the same time - don't want to be there. Check in: Excellent service by Mr. K (my bad really as I forgot his name, something like Kemet - Filipino guy, sorry). We have booked two rooms for an overnight stay and he made sure that we got the rooms we requested for. Check in was a breeze. But don't expect any welc... Read more

Its a great building but there are signs that the Sheraton needs a bit of a facelift. Friday brunch is outstanding, the breakfasts are good and the food in the various restaurants compares favourably with anything else in Abu Dhabi, but the room itself was just slightly shabby for the price (compared to, say, the Traders). Concierge was a terrific chap who sorted me out with a hire car and could not have been more helpful. Beware the sandflies in the beach - they are hungry!

Stayed here for a special family occasion. We emailed and told them of this and they pulled out all the stops to make it extra special. It was only for one night but the care and attention was first class. The hotel is situated a short stroll from the Corniche. It has a lovely feel to it from the moment you enter the welcoming reception area. The pool area and private beach at the rear are lovely and relaxing. It is ideally located for a jog along the Corniche if you like running - go early to a... Read more

Very nice older hotel. The pool area gives off a nice resort feel with plenty of loungers, 2 pools and a small water slide. The beach area is a great feature, although it is mostly facing concrete and overlooks construction. There is a swim up bar but no one seems to use it because of the high cost of the drinks. I was not impressed with the service at the front desk: a lot of ‚??misinformation‚?? seems to go on there. They sent us up to a smoking room without telling us when our non smoking ro... Read more

I have only good experiences for this hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms with spacious bathroom.Only thing is, why is the sink outside the actual bathroom? Their pool and beach area has the vacation-resort feel and is an added bonus. You don't have to go anywhere else for a day. Perfect for those who are tired of walking, sight seeing and dining everywhere in Dubai and Abu-Dhabi.

I stayed here two nights with my family. The check-in and check out was smooth, the rooms could have been a little bigger, the bed quality is good, the support staff are courteous. Though a little let down by the AC was not working according to the settings, was too cold and a little un-comfortable. Needs a face-lift in the corridors and the outer part. I'd ordered lunch to the room and the taste and quality was quite good. The swimming pool is nice, kids would enjoy Overall not a bad one.

We just loved this hotel, has a great vibe, is in a terrific location and has everything you could possibly need. Abu Dhabi surprised us, it's a great bustling city, easy to get around as the cabs are inexpensive. A visit to the Wonderful Grand Mosque is a must, we went at sunset and it was stunning, but leave yourself plenty of time as there is a lot to see. A desert safari was a lot of fun, but expect to be in a convoy of at least 15 other 4WDs, but don't get me wrong we really enjoyed it. We... Read more

I'm glad I ended up staying at this hotel. It's really quite a nice resort in a central location - at least its nice to kick back after a day of work in a hotel like this. It has that relaxed resort kind of vibe. Service was excellent whenever I engaged the staff. I'd give this hotel a five star, but truth is that it feels a bit dated. The lobby could use some brightening up. I will consider staying here again when I visit again.

When I asked about the discount I was told this was for hotel guest only. This is not stated on the website so is false advertising and very misleading. Also although the treatment itself was good, it was not very r... Read more

We visited the Sheraton Resort in July for 1week and really enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast with a good range of food to catering or all tastes, the eggs station was particularly good. Abu Dhabi is very hot in July so cooling off in the pool was a must. The hotel staff are very friendly, efficient and made us feel very welcome. .Our room was cleaned spotlessly very day. The bathroom was has an excellent bath and shower. Fresh water supplied daily. There is lots of construction happenin... Read more

This is a decent stay in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Complimentary WiFi, a great pool area with a swim-up bar, great amenities, and good attached restaurants. If you're looking for a place to hang out for a weekend, this is a great place to lay your head. While this is a great hotel, there are some drawbacks. Currently, there is construction going on all around (which isn't unusual for Abu Dhabi). This makes what should be an awesome private beach area into a great beach attached to stagnant, dirty... We stayed at the Sheraton for one week in July and enjoyed our stay there. The reception staff were excellent and organised our evening meal as we had arrived to the hotel late in the evening. The buffet breakfast and dinner was very good, there wasn't much choice for vegetarian dishes however the restaurant manager, Prasanth and head chef Aji Kumar organised extra vegetarian dishes for us every night. A special thank you for providing us with extra dishes. The service at the restaurants as well... Read more

Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort is superb in terms of customer services and facilities. Specially the room service they really accomodates your request as quick as possible. I really recommend this hotel to the travel. We really had a great stay spending our weekend at the hotel.

Stayed here for a short stayover on a longer trip. Was expecting a dated hotel but everything was nicely redone. Rooms were very comfortable with great beds, A/C and really nice luxurious bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent -- one of the best I have ever experienced, can eat very healthy if you want (or go the other direction, I'm sure). Great gym--very large, like a private club. We received Sheraton club access with my starwood card and that provided a great free happy hour plus food... Read more

We've stayed with my boyfriend for a weekend, and it wasn't bad at all! The rooms are a bit dated; however, the rest of the facilities are really nice. Basically for the whole day we were at the pool bar chilling and enjoying. When we came for breakfast to the buffet restaurant - the service was very nice - I've asked if they had cream cheese, and one of the servers brought me the whole fresh cream cheese pack which was very nice. I myself work in the hotels and the service of Sheraton AB surp... Read more

Honestly saying, did not expect such a service. Together with my husband we bought a groupon coupon only for 900 for 1 month pool and gym access. Very and very nice and i am not talking about the product, it's all about service!!! We have just started August month. Let's see how it continues. There is a lady in the SPA, receptionist. Management should really appreciate her. She has an awesome personality!!! Very guests friendly

We basically chose this hotel since at that time they were offering complimentary YAS Waterpark tickets. And we spent most of our stay at YAS instead of the hotel. That said though, after checking out, we felt that we missed out on a lot of things that the hotel can offer. True, the hotel looked and felt old. And our room was a bit cramped. Since the bathroom took almost half of the space, and we also had a huge desk which we really did not need. But despite these, there were a lot of good thin... Read more

I have recently stayed at the Sheraton. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The rooms are gorgeous, with TV facilities which is a bonus when travelling solo. However, I must inform you that the complementary coffee in room advertised is not replaced, 4 complementary sachets was the maximum I got and not replenished until my fifth day in the accommodation, when coffee after a long day in work makes the experience all that bit more worth while? An then, on my first day off after 6 days ... Read more

Seriously, one of the worst hotels I have ever visited. Rooms were skanky and small. Facilities were 5th rate. Staff - well the bell boy made the manager (Elmir Engulatov) look like an experienced hotelier. Utterly dreadful after 4 incredibly pleasant nights in Le Meridien Airport Dubai which is a lovely hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We are part of the starwood preferred guests, and prior to our arrival informed the hotel of our arrival time. We arrived very early and had a confusing welcome. The girl at the desk told us our room wasn't ready but we would be upgraded to a resort view room on the club level and to select our welcome request (fruit basket or drink etc) we chose the fruit basket....whilst we were sorting things out (there was other confusion of how many adults were s... We reached the hotel early, and the front desk very gladly informed us that our room was ready and we could check-in early. Thanks to Hazel from the reservations team, she made sure we were surprised for our special occassion! It was our anniversary, and the hotel had made special flower arrangement. We also received a congratulations card later in the afternoon with good wishes. We also got an upgrade to the club member floor, which was super awesome. We had lunch at the labanese restaurant,... Sheraton Abu Dhabi was one of my favorite hotels in Abu Dhabi. I'm not sure what exactly happened either they have new staff who doesn't know anything about how to handle a guest or the management has been changed or the staff are having a bad time.. my check-in experience was one of the worst I ever had, when i approached the reception desk, the lady told me "sorry my colleague will help you, i'm too busy!!!! maybe just doing some admin work because no one was standing in front of her" the othe... First up, it's not amazing, but I would stay here again; rooms were generally clean (about which more later), staff were great and the bed has to be the comfiest I've ever slept in, though I found the air conditioning ridiculously noisy (too hot to turn it off in August!). The two pools are lovely and cool, the gardens are well tended though the 'beach' (LOL) is basically a lagoon with a road running across it. Not very pretty. Didn't try the activities. Another plus/minus (a theme of this revie... Read more

I loved everything about the Sheraton from the moment we arrived to the last day. All the staff and facilities and excellent. Unfortunately my son became ill and I called for a doctor. The manager on Elmir Engulatov was so helpful and took care of us organising a medical team from the hospital and protecting us as travellers to make sure our son was taken care of. After we returned to the hotel we were offered refreshment and assured by all staff that if we need anything just call. The next day ... Read more

I only went there to spend the day at the pool. The pool and bar are ok for a day of relax. Don't expect anything too fancy. The 'beach' is really small, the pool not huge either, some beds are a bit shabby and sunk... You would expect a bit more for that price. Overall is ok to go there and relax reading a book or having a drink.

Arrived on Sept 11/16 for 4 night vacation - made error in booking 1 person so wife charged $180 AED for additional Club - however, if booked 2 on line additional price was less than $100 AED. Tried to understand how this error could be so financially punitive, but there was no acknowledgement of my point or attempt to explain. The additional cost is $180 per night. This may be a reasonable amount if there is value, but the "Club lounge" was private booked (?) on the 4th floor so no access fo... Read more

I have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel and can honestly say it was a great experience. We stayed as part of the starwoods hotel programme so had a 4th floor resort facing room. Balconies are for decorative purposes but great to stand out and watch the sun set. The room was not small, as mentioned in other reviews but extremely comfortable and well equipped with water replenished each day. The decor is traditional and grand and there is a feeling of cool opulence about the place. The o... Read more

Abu Dhabi Sheraton will surprise you in a different way from other Sheraton hotels. This one is one of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi and you can feel it while you go inside. The rates are pretty reasonable than other 5 star hotels in this city. And that is because they are lacking in some luxury touches. First, the smell when you enter the corridor . You can feel the old carpet in your nose. The plates that I used in the 'flavours restaurant' weren't cleaned up to the mark. I found stains t... Read more

I have stayed at 10 different hotels in the UAE. I live here. This was by far the worst value. They were very busy for Eid, the hotel was full of unsupervised children, and expensive to spend time within it. There are better hotels in better areas for this price. The positives: Beautiful hotel! Clean rooms Service at the SPG Club area was friendly and fast Service at the breakfast was fast and friendly The swim up bar early in the day is nice, service is good. The name is old but the service and hospitality is fresh. We kept the valet parking service so busy for 3 nights on our conference yet, each time we're always greeted with genuine smiles and query, how was your day? If ever there's a hotel who claims to be your home away from home, this could be it.

My husband and I have just returned from this hotel after a 10 night stay.Where do I start. This is certainly not a 5 star hotel. It was probably a 5 star when it was first built. We were booked into a club room which not suitable for anyone staying for more than a couple of days,a lack of longer hanging wardrobe space, nowhere to put shoes,a serious shortage of drawer space also. Why would we need a large office space area? This area could be put to better use,eg more storage space. We were unfortunat... Plenty of food selections on site and if you can upgrade your stay to the club room it is worth the extra pennies. Would certainly return to this hotel again.
