The good: - Perfect location for business at the center of the city - Great for shopping and dining (Wehda Mall) - Availability of transportation - Very clean rooms - Great service The bad: - So much traffic around the hotel (entrance and exit) - Relatively small rooms - Pure business hotel

Very nice hotel providing 5* comfort at very reasonable rate and situated next to my business venue and directly next to the Al Whada Mall. My only small complaint was that the food in the all day dining restaurant was not quite as high quality as everything else, but this was not a major issue. Overall I would be more than happy to stay there again

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment at this hotel for over six months and as a resident of the UAE for over 20 years I have to say that it was a perfect choice for Abu Dhabi. The location is great being very central and with a direct link to the adjacent shopping Mall. The apartment was spacious and beautifully furnished and equipped and thanks to Mohammed Mostafa, Robblien and Ugyen the staff do a superb job of the house keeping. I went to Abu Dhabi for leisure. Stayed at the hotel for two days. Staff was kind enough to grant me late check out. Appreciate it. I was able to print the boarding pass. But had to pay 5 AED. It's location is great. This year the hotel has internal connection to Al wahda mall. So no need to go outside in the hot summer. Their spa is great.

Pleasant stay at the hotel, staff kind and polite. Nice rooms, the pool is too small. My visit was during the Holy Month that I deeply respected even if not Musulim. I have to say that due to this, the hotel didi not offer me an adeguate choice to smoke but in a smoking room. No areas hidden anywhere. Actually I have to say that staff told me that there was, but not available for managment decision. Well, this decision really upset me! I know smoking is my personal need, but when you are a 5 s... This hotel after many a visit does not warrant been a 5 Star hotel. Came for Father's Day meal at Toshi and the service was absolutely disgusting. Food was meant to be international and fresh. It was neither. Certainly not worth the extortionate amount we were charged. Your staff need to learn about customer service and what is important when providing a service..

Very well positioned at Abu Dhabi, from the hotel you have easy access to shopping centers, supermarkets and also to the central bus station where you can take a bus for less than US$10 to go to Dubai. Several places can be visited including the Sheik Zhayed Gran Mosque. Pleace remember to take the sun glasses and sun screen, it is relally a hot and sunny place in the middle of desert. When I was ther by June 2016 the temperature was about 43C!

We were a group of friends having dinner at portobello restaurant. Food and service as usual excellent, but one thing really wasn't good at all. One of the chefs was talking on the phone ( speaker phone loud) for almost 25 minutes and leaning on the counter without showing any respect towards his guest and infront of all in the open kitchen. This was really the very down point through out our evening, which surprised us, as this doesn't show the 5* hotel and restaurant!

The hotel looks new and the staff are trying their best. However, they need more time to learn customer services and attending guests requests. Rooms are spacious. TV in most cases not working either hanging or weak signal however it is IPTV. Very close to Abu Dhabi city center in addition it is connected to a quite big Mall (Al Wahda Mall) In my opinion you can spend good time but keep in mind the probability of getting basic service compared to a five star hotels.

We booked room during the peak of holiday season and we are so glad we made the booking early. The hotel was full! And a lot of guests checking in and out for the past 3 days. Hats off to the front office staff, housekeeping, doormen and bellboys - to the whole team who managed to keep it all together. There are long queues at 6 counters, but they handled each and every guest, efficiently. Hotel room is clean. Buffet serves freshly baked croissants, muffins and breads. A good number of choice... We visited during the Eid weekend, after waiting in a line of traffic to get to the valet we then entered a packed lobby, people sitting on the floors, tired kids crying, then we were aggressively told that our room would be ready after a short time, more than two hours later we were still waiting with our baby and small twins. The Grand Millennium Hotel is a really good hotel, but I would recommend staying only for a few days. I went for nearly 1 month, and it got really boring over there. First of all, if you order something from restaurant and you tell them to deliver it for you, the hotel will not let the people delivering the food actually go up to the hotel room. Enjoyed yet another nice meal and pleasant evening in Porters Pub in the Grand Millennium Al Wahda. The standard of the food is consistently good as is the service. Unlike some of the bars in Abu Dhabi, the pub management of Martin and Sandeep are approachable and will listen to customers and do their best to attend to the customers needs. The service from the bar, and floor staff such as Terry, Mart, Geena and Alex was as usual prompt, efficient and polite. My wife and I have lived in the Grand... Read more

The hotel is located in central Abu Dhabi so is central to most things. It's connected to the Al Wahda Mall by a bridge through the car park on the third floor. The bedrooms are fine, they're a decent size if a little on the basic side, the bathrooms are spacious but the fittings are out of date by about ten years. The lobby is more suited to a budget hotel, in fact many budget hotels have better public areas. The area is small and basic with an airport type coffee shop in the corner, the wh... Read more

Hotel is big and therefore it lacks the personal touch. Staff is friendy and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is plentiful, but because of the size of the restaurant it has a canteen feeling. Convenient location if you like shopping. (Mini)bar prices are way over the top, especially for the alcoholic drinks (30 Dirham for a 25ml Stella excl. service & tax). Tip: if you like your beer, buy a few at Spinneys (taxi drivers will know the nearest one) and store them in your fridge in the room.

Location was great: very convenient, with direct access to the mall. Lots of food options nearby, or even in the hotel itself. The pool was a bit small, but expected. Still, it had great views of the Abu Dhabi skyline at night. Given all that, it's great value for your money! Will stay here again.

Unlike its sister hotel in Dubai (see separate review) the GM in Abu Dhabi is one of those nothing-much corporate hotels we've all been to and wish we'd gone elsewhere. Reception and restaurant staff just going through the motions, dull decor, uninteresting building and location, the only thing of note is it's huge. An OK hotel to use to get your head down for the night, but nothing to commend it. Odd how two hotels in the same group and nearby can differ so greatly.

Lovely hotel from the reception, and its friendly professional staff, to the room, which was large, clean, and perfectly equipped. The hotel is located few meters form Al Wahda Mall, and is few minutes away, by taxi, from most attractions. WiFi, and free parking are part of the price you pay, which could be surprising if you get the right deal. I have just finished almost five years in the serviced apartment side of the GM Al Wahda. I would not have stayed if it was not great. Great gym, and so close to one of the largest malls in Abu Dhabi that the walk is less than 200 paces, and under cover. The opening of the rear traffic light on the side road helps with traffic, which if you drive is the only minor draw-back to this place.
